Urban Decay Face Bond Waterproof Foundation Review

Spoiler alert - I love this foundation, it already made my Monthly Favourites for June, but I think it still deserves it's own review!

Urban Decay Face Bond Waterproof Foundation Review
I purchased this product

Urban Decay Face Bond Self Setting Waterproof Foundation ~ $57.00 CAN. A lightweight waterproof foundation with the skincare benefits of a serum and self-setting powder for blurring effect in a medium-coverage, matte finish.

This is a lightweight formula that is formulated with a self setting powder to absorb sweat and oil during wear time. It instantly helps blurs the skin and won't clog pores or cause breakouts. The foundation is waterproof, humidity proof and sweat proof.

Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray Review

If you've been around here for a while, then you I'm a long time fan of the Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray - it made my Best Setting Sprays in 2019 and Monthly Favs back in 2022, but I've never written a review of it!

Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray Review
This was sent from Butterly in exchange for a review - this post was not a requirement

Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray ~ $27.00 CAN for this 1 oz mini size (full size is $48.50 CAN for 4 oz). An award-winning lightweight vegan setting and finishing spray that keeps makeup fresh, smudge-proof, and transfer resistant for up to 16 hours.

Five on Friday - May 17, 2024 Swatch Post ~ Wayne Goss The Luxury Eye Palette - Amber, Urban Decay Moondust Glitter Eyeshadow Palette - Space Rider, Lancome Eye and Face Palette Holiday 2023, Natasha Denona Pastel Plexi Glow Highlighter, and Natasha Denona Cranberry Eyeshadow Palette

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a good week - I've been computer-less enjoying a week at the cabin with all the family!

Since I'm away, I'm skipping a life update for my Five on Friday post (and will save my update for next Friday!) and instead I'm sharing and swatching 5 palettes/products that are older, but I just came in to them this year but just won't get to doing a full dedicated post for!

ONE

Wayne Goss The Luxury Eye Palette - Amber ~ $77.00 CAN. The Luxury Eye Palette in Amber features six essential eye shadows in matte, satin, and shimmer finishes you’ll reach for again and again. Infused with smooth-blend emollients and micronized pigments, Wayne’s custom eye shadow formula blends with the lightest touch—no special techniques needed.

This is a palette that I got in my Beautylish Lucky Bag - there is always a palette, and honestly I've never tried Wayne Goss beauty before. I do really like this palette's shades (but overall his palettes haven't called out to me before). Having said that, this is a god formula - I've used it quite a few times now and it applies good and it easy to use!

Monthly Beauty and Book Haul ~ March 2024

Back in 2022, I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I've been pretty good about sticking to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year!

I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!

ELF Cosmetics Order ~ $44.00 CAN. I've been waiting to do this haul for a little while - I'm excited to try the clicky lip balms so I picked up two! I also picked up the liquid blush brush so I can try out the Camp brush. Also, ELF appears to be one of the only brands to still make brush cleaner so I picked up a couple! I haven't tried anything yet since I am slow right now!

Monthly Beauty and Book Haul ~ December 2023

Last year I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I really stuck to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year!

I purchased everything in this post

Indigo Haul ~ $132.88 CAN. At the start of the month, I had a little discount at Indigo so I picked up some of my most anticipated books of the year! I can't wait to dive in to all of these!

Monthly Beauty and Book Haul - February 2023

Last year I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I really stuck to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year!

I purchased everything in this post

Sephora Haul ~ $120.75 CAN. There were a few new releases that came out this month that I was really excited about - the Urban Decay Quickie concealer and the Fruit Babies set really caught my eye! I have already reviewed and tried the makeup products - you can see my full post here! The Makeup By Mario lip balm came highly reviewed and the Olaplex was the coupon code, with a couple of foil samples.

New At Sephora Haul, First Impressions and Swatches ~ Urban Decay Quickie Concealer, Makeup By Mario MoistureGlow Lip Serum, Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder Flushed, and Glow Recipe Fruit Babies Set

Okay, I really enjoyed doing this last month with my Sephora haul last month - I've picked up a few new goodies this month again and instead of doing individual reviews on each of them, I thought doing a collective haul, thoughts and swatches here!

Like last month, there were a few new releases that have caught my eye - the new Urban Decay concealer (they used to make my favourite concealer and then it got discontinued), the new Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm blush also caught my eye and I'm so excited to try both of them!

Beauty Gifts Sets - Stocking Stuffers for Beauty Lovers

I've been keeping the holiday posts to a minimum, I mean things are crazy out there right now and I think everyone is trying to keep things reasonable, so I'm trying not to go crazy with spending on unnecessary items.

Beauty Gifts Sets - Stocking Stuffers for Beauty Lovers
I purchased all of these on my own - this post contains affiliate links

So, there were a few beauty sets that caught my eye and I do love holiday set time because I love minis and chances to try multiple products from brands at a lower price or bundled price!

Quarterly Beauty Empties ~ July - September 2022

Monthly Empties posts were getting a little overwhelming - they were a lot to write and keep notes about. I've decided to still talk about empties, but only makeup products and skincare products (no more body, hair, nail or personal care products!) It was just getting too much, but I still want to share my thoughts on products I've used up!

Some products may have been received as PR samples - this post contains affiliate links

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ~ $43.00 CAN (travel size shown here). An award-winning lightweight setting and finishing spray that keeps makeup fresh, smudge-proof, and transfer resistant for up to 16 hours.

I needed a travel size setting spray for my trip to Italy previously this year. This one was perfect for locking everything in crazy humid weather - I knew this one would be perfect and I wasn't wrong! This did make my favourites in May 2022 and it's one of the best setting sprays ever!

Monthly Beauty and Book Haul ~ September 2022

I'm switching up my Monthly Haul posts a little bit this year, because I'm actually *trying* to stick to a bit of a budget! I've been going a little crazy on the beauty and books front, so I just want to be a little more thoughtful in my purchases. So. I'm trying to keep my beauty and book purchases to $200 a month - we'll see!

I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!

I purchased everything in this post

Indigo Preorder ~ $18.56 CAN. I read the first in this series last year and it's fun - they are whimsical YA fantasy in a world I like and I enjoyed the characters in the first book. The Ballad of Never After is book 2, and how stunning is this hardcover?!

Monthly Beauty Favourites - May 2022

Here's a look at what I've been loving this past month:

I purchased everything - this post contains affiliate links

I used to always have pick 5 products each month for my Monthly Favourites, but that is one thing I'm changing this year - whatever I'm loving, I will share whether it's 2 or 10 products!

Sephora Sale Order ~ $70.68 CAN. This order was mainly placed to pick up a few travel sized items for my upcoming trip - I needed a primer, setting spray and face mist I could travel with. The neck massager was somewhat of a spur of the moment purchase as Sephora Collection was also 30% off so I couldn't resist trying it. The other items were just the points add ons.

Quarterly Beauty Empties ~ January - March 2022

Monthly Empties posts were getting a little overwhelming - they were a lot to write and keep notes about. I've decided to still talk about empties, but only makeup products and skincare products (no more body, hair, nail or personal care products!) It was just getting too much, but I still want to share my thoughts on products I've used up!

Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D Waterproof in 01 Perfect Black ~ $34.00 CAN. Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D Waterproof gives your lashes volume, length, curve and definition for flawless four-dimensional eyes as it visibly lengthens and thickens lashes more every day.

I did not love this mascara - I found it a little spidery and a little flaky on the lashes. It also didn't really add any oomph to my lashes that I was looking for. I also think it's older in my collection, so that may have impacted the wear of this. I actually didn't finish this because it just didn't do anything for my lashes.

Five on Friday - December 17, 2021 ~ The Marrow Thieves & Hunting By Stars Book Review, Cookies I Have Loved Cookbook, Owlcrate Special Edition Books, Palettes of the Week, and Hurraw! Lip Balms

Happy Friday everyone ! I hope you all had a great - I've been using this week to finalize all my Christmas prep and will hopefully finish my wrapping this weekend! Are you guys all ready to go?

I'm a big fan of Cherie Dimaline - she is an Indigenous Canadian author and I've really enjoyed her writing style. She wrote The Marrow Thieves in 2017 - it is a young adult dystopian novel and it is set in a future where the world has been ravaged by global warming and people have lost the ability to dream - the only people left with the ability to dream are Indigenous people and the cure potentially lies in their bone marrow, but this means death for the unwilling donor, so Indigenous people are being hunted and we follow a young man, and a group of people who are on the run and trying to find their loved ones.

Five on Sunday - January 17, 2021 ~ December OwlCrate, Lucie Bakes, Bridgerton, and Palettes of the Week

Happy Sunday everyone - should be my Friday, but I guess this week got a little bit away from me! (I took Monday off, and then on Tuesday, I thought my little guy was sick as he was up since 4 a.m. so it had already been a week before I even got it started!)

December 2020 Owlcrate
I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links

I just received my December Owlcrate subscription and this month's theme is "Love Is A Battlefield" - each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and comes with a note from the author as well - they often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun! As a bookworm, I have been loving this subscription!

Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Mini Eyeshadow Palette - Swatches, Look and Thoughts

There was something about the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes palette that caught my eye when it was released, but I wasn't sure about spending almost $70 when I wasn't sure how the "stoned" shadow formula was going to be, so when I saw a mini version on the Shopper's website, I couldn't resist!

Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Mini Eyeshadow Palette - Swatches, Look and Thoughts
I purchased this palette on my own

I liked that this little mini came with 3 mattes and 3 "marbleized shimmers" as the stoned shades. What's nice about this mini, is that it's not the exact shades in the full sized Stoned Vibes palettes (so if you really loved that one, this one wouldn't be a duplicate palette), but it does have some similarities.

September 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

I always love my Monthly Haul posts, so I can share with you everything I picked up in the month; because, as much as I love blogging, I can't share every single thing I picked up!

Last month, I got rid of my $100 a month goal, and instead I'm sticking to the being more conscious about my purchases and just make sure it's makeup that I will really like before buying it! I want to make sure that I can use and enjoy the products I have in my collection and that I will really use the products I picked up!

September 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!
I purchased everything in this post

Sephora Order ~ $110.25 CAN. I placed this order because I was really excited to try both the Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Cleansing Balm (which already made my September Favourites because it's so good!) and the Natasha Denona Chromium Liquid Multichrome Eyeshadow (also made my Favourites because it's so beautiful - you can see a full post and the shadow on me here!) I finally picked up a full size Laniege Lip Sleeping mask because I've been trying to find more affordable alternative and they have been burning my lips, so I just went for the real thing! My code got me the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream that I've wanted to try for a while! The samples from Smashbox, DevaCurl, Tatcha.

September Shop My Stash - Warm Red Fall Look

Happy Fall! It is time to dive in to all the deep, red vampy shades for the season!

September Shop My Stash - Warm Red Fall Look
The Catrice face products, Paula's Choice, and Rodial blush were received as PR samples - this post contains affiliate links

I was really feeling the red eye look and it paired so well with this lipstick (that I didn't even know I have, which proves exactly why I do these looks every month!) I'm really happy with how the look turned out!

June Shop My Stash - Purple Shimmery Look and Duping The Vibes of the Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet Eyeshadow Palette

I've been loving doing my Shop My Stash looks, especially during our social distancing and it is giving me the reason to play with my makeup when I'm feeling a little less than inspired and it feels so good just to come up with a fun look!

I also starting a "Dupe The Vibes" style post earlier this year within my Shop My Stash where I check out the swatches of a newer palette that I'm somewhat interested in and would consider purchasing, and then I go through my collection and come up with shadows that are similar or as close to dupes as possible from within my collection.

The Catrice and Hard Candy were received as PR samples - this post contains affiliate links

Part of my sticking to a monthly makeup budget is to focusing on getting use of products that are already in my collection and being a little more conscious about bringing in a bunch of products in to my collection that I already have!

The Palette Tag - All About My Eyeshadow Palettes!

It's no secret that my favourite part of makeup is eyeshadow palettes! I currently have 50 palettes in my collection and I've been really reasonable this year about adding palettes in my collection and playing and using the palettes that I do have in my collection.

The Palette Tag

I do love to talk about all the eyeshadow I have so The Palette Tag is the perfect excuse! I first saw the tag on Makeup Your Mind's channel; but, it was originally created by Samantha March and Allie Glines
