I hope you guys enjoy seeing my shopping - for me it's a way of sharing everything I pick up; because, honestly I buy so much stuff that some doesn't get talked about at all until it appears in an empties post! But, if there is ever anything you want to see a full post on, just let me know and I will do it!!!
Also, I do "try" to stick to a monthly budget of $100, and these posts are supposed to keep me in check! (Haha - supposed to, being the key word! I am clearly a beauty addict!) I will only include products I have spent money on - gifts, pr samples, and freebies are usually shared on posts like my Five on Friday posts!
For February, I was supposed to be on a "no-buy" or a really low-buy (but, I broke it slightly because I got a new job and thought I deserved a present!)
Here is a look at what I bought in February:
Sephora Shopping ~ $10.50 CAN (would have been $47.25 CAN). I have been wanting to try this foundation for a while - I am on the tail end of a few foundations and then I'm going to try this! I had a gift card that couldn't be used online, so I finally got to use it! Plus, I picked up samples of the Farsali Rose Gold Elixir and the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Skin Booster because I have been loving my Smashbox Primer Oil and wanted to try a few new ones!
Here are the 5 things I have been loving this month:
Too Faced White Peach Eye Shadow Palette ~ $55.00 CAN. A matte, shimmer and glitter eyeshadow palette infused with peach and sweet fig cream.
I have to start by saying that this is not a palette for everyone; but, I'm a big fan! I know this is an overall really light toned palette - there isn't a lot of medium toned transition shades or deep shades. But all that considered - for me, this is an actual every day go-to palette (especially when I go back to work in April)! For every day looks I really just go with a simple, light and pretty eye looks so I don't need a lot of deep shadows as I prefer every day looks without.
Happy Manicure Monday! I haven't been feeling super inspired with nail art lately because my nails are sooo short and I always find nail art harder with little nails! But, I went through my Instagram searching for inspiration and went waaaay out of my comfort zone with this Mani (and I love it!)
I take no credit for the design of these nails - this is all NinaNailedIt inspired - I have talked about her nails a bunch of times! She is basically a nail art goddess (and she partners with Scratch for their Monthly Mani Kit designs). So, thank you Nina for giving my inspiration and getting me out of my comfort zone!

On this week, I had a job interview for a position in my workplace for when I go back to work! I thought I would share my go-to interview makeup! I work in a conservative workplace, so I think really neutral look is good that brightens the eyes and looks professional! And, in a time like this, I always rely heavily on my holy grails and favorites so I know they work well and look great! (But, I had a couple of stress blemishes that I needed to coverup as well).
HEEELLLOOOO - Sorry to frighten you, I must look like a Yeti! It's my nightly meringue mask, part of my nighttime skincare regime! (I'm sorry - I can't help quoting Mrs. Doubtfire when I feel exactly like when he stuck his face in a cake, with the little pieces dripping off my chin and everything!)

If you read my last Five on Friday post then you know I'm currently in full on study mode for a job interview next week and I'm quite nervous about interviews, so my free time has been a little consumed by that!

I love crazy and weird masks so much! This Dr. Jart Shake & Shot Rubber Mask looks hilarious and strange and amazing! I was drawn to the colours of the Firming Mask - if you can believe when I was a teenager, my room looked just liked these colours! I had a bright purple ceiling and orange walls.
So, I'm really late to the game trying hair cords - just about everyone I know was using them and raving about them; but, I was still using regular elastics forever. I think mainly, I have fine and thin hair so I didn't think something thick and plastic would actually work well in my case - but, Gummiband hair cords say they work for all hair types so I was happy to try them out!
The Gummiband hair cords are hypoallergenic - they don't absorb water or sweat so they don't get all gross and bacteria-y! They are gentle on hair so can reduce styling damage (who else despises a pony-tail bump?!) and they reduce breakage as well. They are useable for years - if they start to stretch, just warm them up with a hair dryer or hot water and it goes right back down; plus, Gummibands come with a one-year warranty!
I have made no secret of the fact that I love mini palettes! If it comes in mini size, chances are that I will pick it up! There is just something so convenient about the little sizes - the shades all go together, making eye looks really easy. They are perfect when you don't have a lot of time to think about what shadows you should use, they travel well and are really handy!
I picked up ColourPop single shadows when they were released; but, I haven't yet picked up any of the full sized shadow palettes yet so I was excited to see the mini palette on the Sephora website when ColourPop came to Sephora. I scooped it up immediately!

Like slammed - we're talking over 1 foot of snow on top of what has already accumulated here! Ugh - I'm ready for Spring!

So, it's almost Valentine's Day and if you guys are looking for a super casual, easy makeup look, then I have an awesome Glitter Lip makeup look from last year that I loved so much! There is something about a full glitter lip that looks so fun and so glam - I absolutely loved doing this!

I had been pretty loyal to my Briogeo leave-in spray and it was good; but, it just wasn't as good as it could be so I wanted to try something new and this was highly reviewed. It's a touch pricey so I picked it up during the VIB Rouge sale and I have loved it! This actually makes my hair super smooth, detangled, and soft. This is light and doesn't weigh down my hair at all; but, makes my hair look really nice!

As if I really need an excuse to use pink in anything; but, since February is the month of Looooove, I'm feeling all the pink and hearts and everything pretty! It's funny actually, my husband and I do not celebrate Valentine's Day (unless you count ordering a Papa John's heart shaped pizza as celebrating), but I still love all the cute heart and lovey-dovey things that come out this month!
I'm starting this month with a cute little polka dot heart nail art look! I needed something simple and cute, since I broke a nail with the car door and a couple others chipped corners on our trip! (So, sometimes it's nice to make them all the same length and have a fresh start!)
