June Shop My Stash - Purple Shimmery Look and Duping The Vibes of the Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet Eyeshadow Palette

I've been loving doing my Shop My Stash looks, especially during our social distancing and it is giving me the reason to play with my makeup when I'm feeling a little less than inspired and it feels so good just to come up with a fun look!

I also starting a "Dupe The Vibes" style post earlier this year within my Shop My Stash where I check out the swatches of a newer palette that I'm somewhat interested in and would consider purchasing, and then I go through my collection and come up with shadows that are similar or as close to dupes as possible from within my collection.

Part of my sticking to a monthly makeup budget is to focusing on getting use of products that are already in my collection and being a little more conscious about bringing in a bunch of products in to my collection that I already have!

The Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet palette caught my attention as it was a pretty purple palette - I liked that it was a half neutral, half colourful palette as I felt like it was something that could travel well and make a variety of looks with. But, also it wasn't a perfect palette for me as I thought it was very shimmer heavy (and I like lots of shimmers), so for something less than perfect for me, I didn't really want to spend almost $70 Canadian on it. I did like the vibes, so I thought it was something I could recreate within my own collection!

Of course, I'm by no was discouraging you from buying the Naked Ultraviolet palette if you are interested, it's just not something I need to add to my collection, so I'm trying to focusing on loving the palettes I have already!

The palettes that I used for this look are:
-Pat McGrath Labs MTHRSHP Subversive La Vie En Rose Eyeshadow Palette
-Too Faced Razzle Dazzle Berry Eyeshadow Palette
-ColourPop My Little Pony Pressed Powder Shadow Palette

Here's a look at the swatches from the Sephora website (I will be honest, I matched these prior to actual swatch photos being up and this palette looks pretty varied in pictures!) I do think I did pretty good at colour matching, there is a few I'm a little off on and I went a little more nude on the neutral side and went a little more brown than mauve. Also, I only had a little less shimmery purples in my collection, so there was a few shimmer/matte swaps, but that's the whole point of "Duping The Vibes", it's not exact dupes, but I think I matched the overall feeling of vibes of the palette.

The shadows I used are:
-Bribe from Urban Decay Naked Reloaded (compared to UD UV Trippin' - a warm ivory satin)
-Blur from Urban Decay Naked Reloaded (compared to UD UV Mind Slip - soft peach matte)
-Reputation from Urban Decay Naked Reloaded (compared to UD UV Dazed - golden pink shimmer with gold micro-pearls)
-Bucked from Urban Decay Naked Reloaded (compared to UD UV Hacked - nude mauve matte)
-Burn from the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded (compared to UD UV V.R. - raspberry sparkle with iridescent micro-shimmer)
-Firefly from the ColourPop My Little Pony (compared to UD UV Lucid - holographic green pearl shift)
-Skydancer from the ColourPop My Little Pony (compared to UD UV Optimized - lavender matte)
-Rose Risque from the Pat McGrath La Vie En Rose Palette (compared to UD UV Warning - bright pink satin with purple shift)
-Paranormal from the Pat McGrath La Vie En Rose Palette (compared to UD UV Cyber Punk - violet shimmer with pink micro-shimmer)
-Euphoria from the Pat McGrath La Vie En Rose Palette (compared to UD UV Euphoric - cool-toned light purple with blue shift)
-Twilight from the ColourPop My Little Pony (compared to UD UV Purple Dust - ultraviolet with iridescent micro-shimmer)
-Bad to the Berry from the Too Faced Razzle Dazzle Berry palette (compared to UD UV Digital - smoky black with red micro-shimmer)

For this look, I started with Bribe as a base shadow and Blur and Bucked through the crease. Then I deepened the crease and outer corner with Paranormal. Then I added on Twilight to the outer lid, Euphoria to the middle lid and Skydancer to the inner lid. Then I applied Rose Risque on the lower lash line and Firefly to the inner corner of the eye.

I love how this eye look turned out and the purples are so pretty, but it was a little hard to work with so many shimmers! I think they do look good altogether though!

The other products I used for my eyes are:
-Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer
-Make Up For Ever Aqua XL eye pencil in light purple
-MAC Cosmetics Eye Brows in "Spiked"

And the products I used for my face are:
-Wet n Wild Colour Icon Bronzer in You're Dragon Me Down
-ColourPop Disney Designer Enchanted Mirror Pressed Powder Blush

To finish the look, I used the Hard Candy primer, Catrice foundation, Hard Candy concealer under the eyes and set it with the Laura Mercier powder and finished the face with the Guerlain powder. Then I used the Wet n Wild bronzer, ColourPop blush and used a purple highlighter from the Revlon palette. I finished the look with the Cheekbone lipstick and Skindinavia setting spray.
