I always look forward to June, since like last year, the #CBBxManiMonday group is switching it up a little bit this month and the theme is Allyship - June is both Pride Month and Indigenous History Month. Each week we will be sharing manis based on our allyship with these causes and sharing resources to help draw attention to, informative information or agencies in our areas that are assisting people. 

Quarterly Beauty Empties ~ January - March 2022

Monthly Empties posts were getting a little overwhelming - they were a lot to write and keep notes about. I've decided to still talk about empties, but only makeup products and skincare products (no more body, hair, nail or personal care products!) It was just getting too much, but I still want to share my thoughts on products I've used up!

Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D Waterproof in 01 Perfect Black ~ $34.00 CAN. Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D Waterproof gives your lashes volume, length, curve and definition for flawless four-dimensional eyes as it visibly lengthens and thickens lashes more every day.

I did not love this mascara - I found it a little spidery and a little flaky on the lashes. It also didn't really add any oomph to my lashes that I was looking for. I also think it's older in my collection, so that may have impacted the wear of this. I actually didn't finish this because it just didn't do anything for my lashes.

Manicure Saturday - Paper Airplanes & Blue Skies Nails

Happy Manicure Saturday everyone! (I'm coming in a little early this week, because honestly it's going to a busy weekend - my oldest is turning 17 at the start of the week so I will be busy baking and celebrating my not so baby boy!)

The whole month of January, the #CBBxManiMonday group is doing purple and blue nails for the 2022 Colour of the Year "Very Peri" - last week's nails were purple, so I'm going back in to the blues this week!

I do try and plan my costumes around what my kids want to be and when Elliott said that he wanted to be something from the Spiderverse (it was Spiderman for quite a while), I knew that I wanted to be Gwen Stacy in her Spider costume - Ghost Spider!

June is Indigenous History month, and Cheekbone Beauty shared a beautiful story about the origin story of the strawberry or heart berry and it was beautiful (they look like hearts when they are cut in half) - they are so important because they symbolize our relationship with the mind, body, and spirit.

So, I was very inspired to complete a Heart Berry inspired makeup look and went and picked up a Sustain Lip Pencil and matching lipstick and I loooove these - the finish is stunning and the products both wore so well!
