Can you believe that it is the end of January?! It's been a month, so to be honest, I'm ready for it to be over! But, before we do, here is a look at what I was loving this month:

I used to always have pick 5 products each month, but that is one thing I'm changing this year - whatever I'm loving, I will share whether it's 2 or 10 products!
Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm so so excited that this past weekend I was able to sit down and play with some makeup (it's been a little while!) I really want to focus on using products in my collection, and so today's look is a "Very Peri" eyeshadow look based on the 2022 Pantone Colour of the Year!

I don't have anything that it is quite "Very Peri" in my collection, but I have a lot of purples and some blues, so I thought I would be able to pull a look together, and honestly - I'm so happy with how this look came out! It's deep, but shimmery and pretty! It's a little more cool-toned than I normally go and I like it!
Last year I really wanted to try more Indie brands, and I picked up some Sydney Grace products when they did a collaboration with Temptalia (loved the pressed powder palette - Quintessence Light, you can check out my review here if you are interested in seeing my thoughts on the palette!)
I purchased these products on my own
Sydney Grace is a sister owned business in California - they are best known for their eye shadow formulas, but they are also have loose pigments and glitters, setting powders, highlighters and lip creams!
Happy Friday everyone ! I hope you all had a great - I've been using this week to finalize all my Christmas prep and will hopefully finish my wrapping this weekend! Are you guys all ready to go?

I'm a big fan of Cherie Dimaline - she is an Indigenous Canadian author and I've really enjoyed her writing style. She wrote The Marrow Thieves in 2017 - it is a young adult dystopian novel and it is set in a future where the world has been ravaged by global warming and people have lost the ability to dream - the only people left with the ability to dream are Indigenous people and the cure potentially lies in their bone marrow, but this means death for the unwilling donor, so Indigenous people are being hunted and we follow a young man, and a group of people who are on the run and trying to find their loved ones.
Happy Halloween everyone! If you guys have been around for a few years, you know we take our Halloweens pretty seriously (or at least - I take my Halloween pretty seriously and everyone else in the house puts up with it!)

I do try and plan my costumes around what my kids want to be and when Elliott said that he wanted to be something from the Spiderverse (it was Spiderman for quite a while), I knew that I wanted to be Gwen Stacy in her Spider costume - Ghost Spider!
