I know people are tired of hearing me complain about Calgary weather; but, seriously, how is it still snowing here?! I'm am pulling out all the Spring makeup I can to help will Mother Nature to get with it, and if that doesn't work at least bright makeup will make me feel more Spring-like, right?!
In comes Charlotte Tilbury "Hot Lips" Lipstick in Electric Poppy to brighten things up around here! According to Ms. Tilbury, "lipstick is powerful - there is happiness in every bottle", so lets make that happen!

Five on Friday - March 30, 2018
Happy Friday everyone! Hope you've all have had a great week! Ours was good - pretty typical week! I'm consciously trying to saviour every day at home - I'm back to work in under 4 weeks now and I'm feeling a little sad about it. It's just so hard to think about working again. At least Damian just started Spring break today, so I'm looking forward to really enjoying next week with both boys!
ONE
Happy Easter weekend! How cute are Elliott and his bestie Bennett?! We are so lucky to have these 2 born only 1 day apart - they can do everything together! We took the boys to the Calgary Farmer's Market so they could meet the Easter Bunny - what a good way to start the Easter weekend?

March 2018 - What I Bought This Month!
Happy Monthly Shopping Haul time! I hope you guys enjoy seeing my shopping - for me it's a way of sharing everything I pick up; because, honestly I buy so much stuff that some doesn't get talked about at all until it appears in an empties post! But, if there is ever anything you want to see a full post on, just let me know and I will do it!
Also, I do "try" to stick to a monthly budget of $100, and these posts are supposed to keep me in check! (Haha - supposed to, being the key word! I am clearly a beauty addict!) I will only include products I have spent money on - gifts, pr samples, and freebies are usually shared on posts like my Five on Friday posts!
Here is a look at what I bought in March:
Sephora Order #1 ~ $31.50 CAN. I haaaad to order this Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette when it was released earlier this month! For only $30 CAN, this is adorable! A post will be coming soon! My deluxe sample is the Smashbox Superfan mascara and I redeemed 100 points for the Smashbox Primerizer. My 3 add on samples are from Lancome, Murad and Dr. Brandt.

March 2018 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks!
Time to take a look at my beauty garbage! (This might be a loooong one - I feel like I went through a lot of products this month!)
Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer ~ sample (full size is $16.00, $42.00 or $64.00 CAN). A professional balm that minimizes the appearance of pores.
This certainly isn't my favorite primer - I don't mind it, I just don't love it. I think if it's used only in targeted spots then it's good. I just like using it around my nose and pores on my cheeks but that's it - if I only use it there, then it's really good!
Repurchase: Nah, not likely

March 2018 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Swatches, Review, and Full Make-up Look!
Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box for $21.00 US a month + $5.00 shipping to Canada (shipping is free to the U.S.) Boxycharm sends 4 to 5 full size and luxury size beauty items.
This subscription focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! While it is a little pricier than the more inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size, with a deluxe product every once in a while.
For the past boxes, every subscriber generally receives the same products, but with 1 or 2 items that have a few variations, so our boxes may not be identical! Boxycharm did recently announce that that they are expanding their personalization, so I think from here on out, we will see even more variations with boxes.

Manicure Monday - Floral Nails ~ Tulips and Clouds Nail Art + How-to!
Happy Manicure Monday everyone! I finally have some nail art to show you - it's been a while! I said last week I was going to will Spring here with floral nails and I'm certainly keeping that theme up this week too!
Also, I'm really excited about this week's nails as I am collaborating with a couple of other amazing nail & beauty bloggers - we are each bringing you our take on floral nails! Jayne at Cosmetic Proof and Trysh at Prairie Beauty Love are both amazing at nail art so make sure you check them both out - I know their floral nails are going to be gorgeous!
Tulips are some of my favorite flowers - they are beautiful and they are some of my first blooms to pop up in my garden in Spring! (It's not near tulip season here yet - I don't generally think gardening until after May long weekend as we are guaranteed snow until then); but, these nails have me looking forward to Spring weather!

Five on Saturday - March 24, 2018
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - mine has been pretty good; but, I am starting my count down for back to work! Four and a half more weeks to go - yuck! Also, Spring started this week and I'm hoping for nicer weather. We have had a brutal Winter here in Calgary - just so cold and snowy, I can't wait to get out more for my last few weeks before work!
ONE
So, sometimes I see a product that I want and I just add it to my eventually to buy list, and then there is other times I see products and I immediately find a way to try that product out now! That's how I felt when I read Jayne from Cosmetic Proof's post on the May Lindstrom The Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm - I neeeeeded to have it!

Too Faced White Peach Eye Shadow Palette - Swatches, 3 Looks, and Review!
I have already raved about the Too Faced White Peach Eye Shadow Palette in my February 2018 Monthly Favorites! This palette was released in January as an extension of the Peaches and Cream collection. Personally, I know the reviews of this palette or really mixed, so I wanted to add my thoughts in to the conversation!
I love the Too Faced Peach line - everything smells great and the packaging is always adorable! Plus, peaches remind me of Spring and Summer so I love the inspiration of the line! I have tried other shadow palettes, blushes, and lip products from the peach collection and I have really liked them (I haven't tried every yet though as I think they keep expanding the line faster than I can try everything!) But, I especially love the shadows in the line so naturally, when the White Peach Palette was released I picked it up right away!

Mask Wednesday - Burt's Bees Face, Eye and Lip Masks Review
So, I have missed a few Mask Wednesday posts lately; but, I thought I would make up for it today and review not 1, but 4 masks all from Burt's Bees!
I was really excited when I was shopping in the States and came across Burt's Bees face masks! I don't think we have these in Canada yet (correct me if you have seen them somewhere; but, I couldn't find them online at a Canadian retailer yet either and haven't seen them in stores myself!) But, you can still get them if you are interested in Canada - Ulta now ships to Canada and they are available on Ulta's website so you can add one to your next order!

Manicure Monday - Scratch x NinaNailedIt Tropical Nail Wraps
Happy Manicure Monday! So, technically Spring doesn't start until tomorrow; but, we got more snow at the end of last week and over the weekend and I am officially OVER Winter! So, now I'm am willing Spring weather to come with some floral nails!
These wraps are by Scratch (my favorite - I have raved about Scratch before) and these are in collaboration with NinaNailedIt and I love this tropical floral print! (These are actually from their March 2017 Monthly Mani Kit - each month Nina designs a new set of nail wraps exclusively for the subscription - you can see my past reviews on that sub here!)

Skincare Sunday - Natural, Organic and Cruelty-free Products for Babies!
Happy Skincare Sunday everyone! I know I usually talk about skincare for me in these posts; but, today I'm mixing it up and talking about skincare (and a little oral care) for babies! I have a 10 month old and finding good products to use on him is important to me!
Elliott's skin is super sensitive and dry (similar to most babies) and to top it off, we live in an incredibly dry area, so I think it makes it worse! I'm more concerned about products and ingredients I put on his skin than I am my own! So, I was very happy to receive a lovely basket of natural, organic and cruelty-free baby products that are available at local shops or on well.ca!

Five on Friday - March 16, 2018
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week! It was almost Spring-like here in Calgary this week; but, we got more snow and are expecting more this weekend. Hopefully, we see Spring like weather next week for the start of Spring - I'm over Winter and cold weather!
ONE
Why yes I did just add another high end baby palette to my collection! This is the Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Eyeshadow palette and it was only $30 CAN, which I think is such a great way to try this brand! I don't think this is super small either - the shadows are a good size and the shades are gorgeous! I will have a review up soon because I can't WAIT to dig in to this!

Viseart Petit Pro 2 Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Swatches and Makeup Look!
Viseart was a brand I was lusting after for a while - and at the end of last year I picked up the Petit Pro 1 palette and was a huge fan! So, naturally when they showed sneak peeks of the Petit Pro 2 palette with these bright beautiful Spring shades, I had to pick it up as soon as it was released!
I have said this a million times here; but, I am all about mini palettes - they are super handy and easy to use! Plus, with a brand like Viseart, you can try a pricier pro brand at a lower price point! (Really, I don't use up full size shadow palettes ever so, I don't always need a full sized palette!) Plus, they are so cute!

Manicure Tuesday - Glitter Half Moon Manicure
Happy Manicure Tuesday! I am loving really simple nail designs right now (I have to - my time to do my nails has decreased significantly; but, I still have to do them and have a little something on them!) And, I am loving this combination of this muted lavender shade with a hint of silver glitter!
This cool, mauvey grey is the perfect nude without being too nude and is a gorgeous polish shade! It was fully opaque in 2 coats and had a nice big brush to apply the polish with so it didn't go on streaky at all! This shade is called "Smoking Mauve" buy Law Beauty Essentials!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - ours was pretty normal and quiet around here! It's been a little tiring though, Elliott has decided he wants to be up between 5 and 6 am every morning; but, really trying to sleep through the night so hopefully he sleeps in just a touch longer soon!
ONE
It has been a hot minute since I have been picked for a BzzAgent campaign - I just received this Venus Platinum razor - I guess we will see if this metal handle makes a big difference?! Anyways, I always like receiving BzzAgent kits so I will give it a try!

Mask Thursday - Make P:rem Double Mask Layering Me Soothing Mask
I have been hearing so much about double masks that of course I had to try it out for myself! I mean, are two masks really better than one?!
Make P:rem has been a brand on my radar for a while - I first came across them on Bisou Beauty Bar - a Canadian k-beauty website (this particular mask is not available on there; but, there are a few other great sounding ones!) I just haven't actually placed an order yet; but, I have a running wishlist! So, when I saw Make P:rem in Target on my recent U.S. shopping trip, I had to pick up a couple of masks to try out! Also, you can order Make P:rem in Canada from Glow Recipe.

Manicure Tuesday - Nails Inc. Champagne Shine Nail Polish Duo "Fizz-ical" and "Straight To My Head" Swatches
Happy Manicure Tuesday everyone! I love when Nails Inc. comes out with these nail polish duos - they come with two full size polishes for the price of one and are perfectly curated colours based on a cute theme! I have previously reviewed the Sparkle Like A Unicorn polish duo and totally have my eye on the currently not-in-stock Self Made Mermaid duo!
But right now, I have the gorgeous Champagne Shine nail polish duo - these have the forever "party season" feeling with the champagne inspiration!

Dior Diorshow Mascara Review - Is It Worth the Splurge?!
I don't think it's any secret that I love seriously big, voluminous lashes - the thicker and fuller they are, the better! Also, I'm not shy about spending money on a good mascara formula - I'm a little picky about what I like and honestly, until I tried the L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, I had never really found a drugstore mascara that I loved! But, I still think to pay over $30 for mascara it has to be worth it!
Mascara is a product that really works different for everyone and is totally personal preference! What I love in a mascara is a big full wand, a drier mascara formula and I don't like the plastic bristles on the wand.

(You can see my thoughts on the Viseart Petit Pro 1 here!) I'm going to dive in to the Petit Pro 2 right away - the colours are perfect for Spring!

February 2018 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks
Time to take a look at my beauty garbage! (I hope each month that I will have lots of empties; because, I'm trying to make a conscious effort to go through and use up products!)
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 127/Y335/Dark Sand ~ sample (full size is $52.00 CAN). A game-changing, top-selling foundation with buildable to medium coverage, available in a diverse range of 40 shades.
I received this in a past Topbox actually; but, the shade was a little too dark for me - the formula was nice but I never really tested it on it's own as I usually had to mix it with a lighter shade! Anyways, it did wear well and I thought it had a nice finish!
Repurchase: I would like to sample it in my shade!
