Manicure Monday - Fall Dotticure Nails
Happy Manicure Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend and Oh My Gourd, can you believe this is the last Monday of September?! Whoa!
The OPI polishes were received as PR samples
I was inspired this week by this fun little bag of gourds I picked up at the grocery store this week - they are the perfect combination of Fall colours - orange, yellow and greens!

September Shop My Stash - Warm Red Fall Look
Happy Fall! It is time to dive in to all the deep, red vampy shades for the season!
The Catrice face products, Paula's Choice, and Rodial blush were received as PR samples - this post contains affiliate links
I was really feeling the red eye look and it paired so well with this lipstick (that I didn't even know I have, which proves exactly why I do these looks every month!) I'm really happy with how the look turned out!

Five on Saturday - September 26, 2020
Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you all had a great week - I was feeling a little blah all week and then I decided to take Friday off for a day to myself and it was very refreshing!
ONE
Unbirthday was sent as an ARC - this post contains affiliate links
I'm starting up my Fall Reading list and I'm getting started with a big list of Fairytale Retellings! I love a good fairytale, so who wouldn't enjoy a little spin on the classics?! (If you are a bookworm too and are on Goodreads, I would love to connect - you can find my Goodreads here!) I really love seeing what everyone is reading - I will read every genre and am always looking for more recommendations!

Mask Wednesday - The Potion Masters Nourishment Alchemy Mask
Happy Mask Wednesday! I think it's been a little while since I've done a mask post, but I'm really excited for today's mask - it's from a local, Calgary company and I'm always so excited when I find great products locally!
I purchased this mask on my own
I've talked about The Potion Masters a little bit last year in a Magical Bath Post - they make the most beautiful bath spells! They also make a variety of skincare products too (they are on my list to try). But, when they announced a line of face masks released in July, I couldn't resist trying one right away!

Manicure Monday - Fall Leaf Nail Art
Happy Manicure Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Can you believe that tomorrow is the first day of Fall?! Whoa!
The OPI polishes were received as PR samples
I had to go with the "Fallest" mani I could come up with that was a deep wine manicure with Fall leaves changing colours! I'm really happy with how this one turned out - these will look fantastic while drinking my Pumpkin Spice Latte tomorrow (just kidding - I totally had one before the first day of Fall!)

August 2020 - Monthly Empties
Here's a look at my Monthly Empties:
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Perfecting Primer ~ travel size (full size is $8.98 CAN). A skin tone perfecting formula that brightens dull skin while decreasing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and pores to provide a flawless, smooth finish.
I finished this in my most recent Project Pan post - this was a good primer and a really decent drugstore option. I personally have enough primers to last me the next 5 years, so it isn't something I will consider repurchasing for a while; but, it is a good primer!
Repurchase: Not right now

Five on Friday - September 18, 2020
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have had a great week - mine was pretty normal, nothing too crazy! Someone pointed out that it's been 6 months since things shut down in Canada for the pandemic - while things have slowly opened up, it's certainly been different. We are planning on sending out little guy back to daycare next week and my older son has been in school for a couple of weeks now! Crazy!
Can you guys believe that it is almost Fall?! Where did that go?! I do love Fall even though we don't get a long Fall here in Calgary - it basically goes straight from Summer to Winter here. Do you guys have a cozy, Fall read that you love?! I always reach for The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and it is the perfect book to snuggle up with with the colder nights coming (especially with scented candles inspired by the book - I am actually burning them on Tuesday and cracking open this book for the first day of Fall!)

Natasha Denona Chromium Multichrome Liquid Eyeshadow in Dragonfly
I absolutely love liquid eyeshadows - I had a whole post in January about them being my absolute Favourite Makeup Product of 2019! Also, this year I picked up multichrome eyeshadows for my first time and loved them, so as soon as I saw these new Chromium Multichrome Liquid Eyeshadows by Natasha Denona, I knew I had to try them right away!!!
I purchased this product on my own - this post contains affiliate links
Natasha Denona Chromium Multichrome Liquid Eyeshadow ~ $37.00 CAN. A shadow that features a jelly texture with a fresh, hydrating feel and creates a multi-chrome finish with color shift at different angles of light reflection.

Manicure Monday - Fall Floral Nails
Happy Manicure Monday everyone! I have no shame and I'm rocking my go-to "slap on some floral nail stickers and look like I put effort in to my manicure this week" nails that I do at least once a month when I'm low on time!
The polish was received as a PR sample
For the month of September, the #CBBxManiMonday group is going with the theme "Fall Colours" all month for our manis and I'm all about this theme!

Five on Friday - September 11, 2020
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have had a great week - I love a short work week and this one flew by!
ONE
I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links
I just received my August Owlcrate subscription and this month's theme is "Written In The Stars". Each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and comes with a note from the author as well - they often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun! As a bookworm, I have been loving this subscription!

Fall 2020 - The Jilly Box Subscription
Okay, I'm a big fan of Jillian Harris - I loved her on the Bachelorette, Love it or List it Vancouver, and even have her cookbook. So when she announced last year that she was starting a subscription box, I was so stoked. The first box was the Winter 2019 box and I waiting in an online queue for the whole day trying to get one and sadly, I did not so I have been waiting patiently for a random selection ever since - I finally got picked to receive a Fall box, not a subscription though, just a single box and either way, I was pretty excited!
The Jilly Box is a quarterly seasonal subscription box - the products within the box include some of Jillian’s (and Team Jilly’s!) favourite items (and brands!) from home decor, fashion, bath and beauty, health and wellness, accessories perfect for each season. Some of the items included will be custom designed exclusively for the Jilly Box. The Jilly Box really focuses on including products from small, local businesses while being ethically sourced and inclusive. They also focus on reducing plastic waste and packaging - the big boxes can be turned inside out and reused!

Shared Planet Sea Turtle Sea Turtle Highlighting Palette - Swatches and Try-on
A brand that makes makeup products inspired by wild animals and also donates a portions of their proceeds to their preservation and protection?! Count me in!
I'm a total animal lover (back in the day, I actually wanted to be a veterinarian, but I couldn't stand seeing an animal hurt, so I scratched that but); so, I was really excited to hear about the brand Shared Planet! This brand is actually founded by a teenage girl and her passion for combining her love of animals with her love of makeup! They are taking inspiration from at-risk animals (right now it's polar bears, tigers and sea turtles) for their makeup products and then they donate 10% of their proceeds to charities and organizations dedicating to helping those animals and I just think this is amazing!

Manicure Monday - Bio Sculpture Vintage Poetry Polish Collection + Fall Skittles Mani
Happy Manicure Monday! Can you believe it's the first Monday of September already?! Even though it's still technically Summertime, it really is starting to turn to Fall in Calgary with cold nights the leaves turning!
This collection was received as PR samples
This new Bio Sculpture Vintage Poetry polish collection was actually a Summer release, but the muted tones felt a little more Fall to me - they are actually the perfect shades for this in-between Summer and Fall time!

Five on Sunday - September 6, 2020
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - I know this is coming a little late; but, it's been a week!
ONE

I'm really trying to get back in to my Monthly Makeup Baskets and I used the Summer baskets a lot, so I'm hoping I use the products I picked for the start of Fall - most of these are newer, so it might take me a bit to get comfortable with them!

August 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!
I set one of my 2020 goals to be actually sticking to my $100 a month Beauty Budget - and I've been stressing out trying to stick to it. Evidently I am not a "budget" type and I don't want to get myself worked up over it. One of the reasons I wanted to stick to a budget was so that I'm a little more conscious about my purchases and just make sure it's makeup that I will really like and I want to make sure that I can use and enjoy the products I have in my collection and that I will really use the products I picked up!
I always love my Monthly Haul posts to share with you everything I picked up (since I can't review everything I buy)!
XO Treatment Room ~ $87.15 CAN. This was my first time trying out XO Treatment Room skincare and I cannot wait to try more - spoiler alert, this was worth every penny I spent on this! It is a leave on pineapple exfoliator and it's so gentle yet effective! You can see a full review of this product here!
