Quarterly Beauty Empties ~ January - March 2022

Monthly Empties posts were getting a little overwhelming - they were a lot to write and keep notes about. I've decided to still talk about empties, but only makeup products and skincare products (no more body, hair, nail or personal care products!) It was just getting too much, but I still want to share my thoughts on products I've used up!

Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D Waterproof in 01 Perfect Black ~ $34.00 CAN. Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D Waterproof gives your lashes volume, length, curve and definition for flawless four-dimensional eyes as it visibly lengthens and thickens lashes more every day.

I did not love this mascara - I found it a little spidery and a little flaky on the lashes. It also didn't really add any oomph to my lashes that I was looking for. I also think it's older in my collection, so that may have impacted the wear of this. I actually didn't finish this because it just didn't do anything for my lashes. 

Repurchase: No

Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer ~ sample shown (full size is $68.00 CAN). A velvety priming balm of pressed silk that smooths and makes makeup last longer while keeping it out of skin, helping to prevent clogged pores and breakouts.

This was fine - I don't loved the idea of a potted primer, especially for $70! Personally, I don't love dipping in to things while getting ready. The formula itself was smooth, but not really for me!

Holiday 2020 Beauty Sets That Caught My Eye!

I'm a total sucker for beauty gift sets and I pick up a couple every year as I find them a good value or a good way to try a few different products from a brand!

Of course, I'm wearing less makeup, so I leaned towards picking up mostly skincare and body sets this year; but, I couldn't resist a couple of lip sets because they looked so good! 

May 2018 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Time for a look at my beauty garbage! 

It's Skin Macaron Lip Balm in "Grape" ~ $10.67 CAN. Handy lip balm with lovely macaron design and pleasant sweet fragrances.

How adorable is this lip balm?! It's a little macaron - I personally don't love potted lip balms because I hate my nails getting goopy but this worked fine.
Repurchase: Not likely... 

Mask Wednesday - Origins GinZing Peel-Off Mask to Refine and Refresh Try-on and Review!

Happy Mask Wednesday! I always love fun, bright masks! It's finally starting to feel like Spring here in Calgary, so a bright orange peel off mask is perfect to use now!
