April 2020 - Monthly Favourites!

Here are the top 5 products I have been loving this month:

April 2020 - Monthly Favourites!

I received the Catrice Primer as a PR sample - this post contains affiliate links

Honestly, for the month of April, I haven't been trying a ton of new products - some of these are new, but, for the most part, I've been trying to use this time to get through products in my collection!

I did still manage to get a good range of products this month - skincare, makeup and nails!

April 2020 - Monthly Favourites!

Catrice Prime And Fine Dewy Glow Fixing Spray ~ $9.99 CAN. The Catrice Prime And Fine Dewy Glow Finish Spray is lightweight, fast-drying, and provides a fresh, dewy glow.

When I first got this, I was using this as a setting spray and I think I was clearly doing this wrong and it's a primer spray. So anyways, that's how I've been using it and loving it! It does have a bit of an aggressive spray, so hold it far away, but I think this is a really nice prep for the skin and it's a little glowy (plus it smells nice and is quick to use)! I'm sure it can also be used to refresh makeup during the day and it did give a glowy finish when I used it as a setting spray - it's just the best as a primer! (You can see it in action in a Full Face of Catrice here!)

Clionadh Cosmetics Stained Glass Shadows in Rose Line, Burnt Sienna , Sand Blast, and Throne ~ $17.00 CAN to $25.00 CAN each. The "Stained Glass Collection" was inspired by the beautiful art of stained glass and the vibrant tones used to create these masterpieces. This collection consists of 92 multichrome shadows and includes four different formula types: Jewelled Multichromes, Iridescent Multichromes, Glitter Multichromes and Pastel Multichromes.

The Clionadh Cosmetics Stained glass collection shadows are gorgeous - there is a wide range of shades and finishes and they are all really unique and stunning! This line was my first time trying multichrome shadows and they are so gorgeous to wear. You can see the shadows on me here in a full try on with the shadows - certainly my favorites were the one that were really pigmented and shifty. But, I also just used an iridescent shadow as a nail polish topper for my mani and that was really unique!

Cheekbone Beauty Lipstick in Keyah ~ $32.00 CAN. Say hello to Kéyah, a peachy pink nude, part of our new Sustain Lipstick Collection! This collection of sustainable lipsticks, with biodegradable packaging, sustainably sourced ingredients, and no additional packaging, is our first step to creating a carbon-neutral beauty brand.

This is a newer product in my collection and it's such a lovely lipstick formula! I have been wanting to try out Cheekbone for a while - they are an indigenous women owned Canadian brand and they are on a mission to be more earth friendly and this lipstick packaging is almost fully compostable. So, I just featured it on an Earth Day post and you can see it on me on the post!

April 2020 - Monthly Favourites!

Sally Hansen x Jelly Belly Insta-Dri Nail Color in Birthday Cake ~ $6.99 CAN. Insta-Dri fast-dry nail colour covers in just one stroke, one coat, and dries in 60 seconds. The exclusive Flexiglass Complex combines beautiful, brilliant shine and super-strong wear.

I love this collaboration - they also released one last year for Easter/Spring shades, so I picked up a Hop In To Spring set for Easter nails this year. I don't actually have a lot of these confetti type polishes in my collection, but I needed this one. It's a cream white with pastel orange, green and blue confetti in it and it looks really pretty on the nails - you can see it on me on a past Manicure Monday post.

Aveeno Repairing CICA Hand Mask ~ $5.49 CAN. Aveeno Repairing CICA Hand Mask, 1 pair, is designed to help restore essential moisture to extra-dry sensitive skin. It contains shea butter and levels of prebiotic oat, helping dry hands look smoother and feel softer. This 10 minute moisturizing treatment is also unscented and paraben free.

Ok, I think we probably all need a hand mask after the extra hand sanitizer and hand washing. These fit really well and I thought wore way longer than the suggested 10 minutes! I found this actually left my hands really moisturized and for a couple of days after wearing them - I was really impressed with the results!
