June Shop My Stash - My Go-To Full Face Weatherproof Stay All Day Makeup

Summertime always means outdoor events and hot weather, so I always need some go-to makeup that is weatherproof and will last all day! While it's great if you don't need to wear foundation or tend to wear lighter makeup in warm weather; but, if I'm going to a wedding or special occasion, I really want to wear a glam look and have it last the whole event!

So, my June Shop My Stash is my basic go-to Glam Makeup look that I know will last all day through heat, time, and just about anything else. This look is a combination of holy grails and products that I know are long-lasting!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a great week - it's been a little crazy here; but, I'm off on holidays now until July 11th! Yay! We are off to Edmonton right now for a long weekend basketball tournament; then, we come home for one day and are off to B.C. for a week!

There was so many amazing products I've tried/used/starting trying in the month of June and it was so hard to narrow it down to my Top 5 products this month! I think I came up with a really fun mix of products that were amazing this month! 

Summer Project Pan - Use Up 4 Makeup Products in the 4 Months of Summer!

Okay, I'm not a project panner at all; but, I've been following along with some and I love the idea of watching myself complete or use a product - it feels so satisfying! Plus, the Canadian Beauty Bloggers group chose Project Pan as the theme for June, so it seemed like the perfect time to try panning!

I didn't want to go too crazy for my first "Project Pan" as I also have a Monthly Makeup Basket and Palette of the Week that I utilize to use up products in my collection. So, I wanted to make sure that I focused on a few products in a set time period, thus my 4 in 4 was decided on! (I'm starting June 21, 2019 to September 22, 2019!)

Manicure Monday - Glamingo Flamingo Nails

Happy Manicure Monday everyone! We are sticking with out June Bright nail theme for this week's #CBBxManiMonday and what better way to kick off the first mani of Summer 2019 than with a bright flamingo mani!

Every time I think of the word "bright" when it comes with my nails I always think of this "Glamingo" polish from Nails Inc - it is this gorgeous, hot neon pink polish and it's so lovely! 

Skincare Sunday - Moschino + Sephora Collection Toy Honey Mask

I can't quite resist a printed character mask, and the Moschino teddy bear is just the cutest so I could not resist trying this mask!

How cute is this teddy bear mask?! Usually printed masks are rather terrifying to wear and this one is actually really cute on! 

LaSpa Naturals Mineral Sunscreen - SPF50 Ultra Sun Protection Stick

I've talked a fair bit on here about the importance of wearing sunscreen every day - I'm a pretty firm believer of proper sun protection! (I also really need to make up for years of sun damage from tanning beds and slathering myself in oil and frying outside!)

LaSpa was the first brand of mineral sunscreen I tried and I really liked them! Their products are 100% natural and use Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide and those ingredients are natural mineral sun blocks that sit on your skin and stop both UVA and UVB rays from penetrating your skin. Also, where chemical filters take about 20 minutes to come in to effect, this sunscreen is effective immediately! Another benefit of mineral sunscreen is that it is marine safe - it is biodegradable and has no toxins that are damaging to marine life or coral reefs!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you've all had a great week! I've had a super busy week - it's always hard to have a long weekend and come back to extra work; but, it was a good busy this week too.

I was so excited to be able to attend a sneak peek of The Alley here in Calgary this week! They are a new bubble tea shop, originally from Taiwan with quite a few locations across Canada with their very first location opening in Calgary! The shop opens on June 22 and 23 and they are giving away 100 free drinks at 3:00 p.m. and are offering 15% off on select drinks.

I was super excited to see these Jelly Belly + Sally Hansen collab polishes! I love me some Jelly Beans and Sally Hansen is easily my most worn nail polish brand! But, I've never actually tried the Insta-Dri Nail Color formula, so I was super excited to get to try this formula while trying the Jelly Belly polishes!

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ~ sample size shown here (full size is $26.00 CAN). A leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supple lips overnight.

This lip sleeping mask is amazing! It made my Best of 2018 Makeup products because it was so good! This little sample lasted me for a couple of weeks, so this was a handy little sample and this is the best formula!

I'm so excited to be going out of town this weekend! It's one of my childhood friend's Bachelorette party and I'm heading to the Okanagan for a weekend of wine drinking and beautiful weather!

Okay, Sephora had a big Spring sale recently and these mini Pat McGrath palettes were on sale for 50% off - only $35 Canadian each (regular $70!) They were going in and out of stock quickly so I managed to pick up 2 of the 3 (I did want the bronzey one; but, didn't manage to get one!) I've never tried Pat McGrath and I can't wait to try these!

I've mentioned before that I'm a little slow jumping on the lipgloss bandwagon (I just love the security of a liquid lipstick); but, as more and more brands are coming out with fabulous lipgloss formulas, the more I'm making the shift to a glossy lip!

Hard Candy is an affordable, accessible brand that is exclusively available at Walmart or on the Hard Candy website. I've found that this brand makes some seriously amazing lip products (and amazing liquid eyeshadows and colour correct concealer!)

May 2019 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

Time for a look at everything I picked up this month - I really love these Monthly Haul posts - they give me a way to share everything I pick up each month as I don't always post about everything I get!

For 2019, I put myself on stricter $100 a month budget , not because I need to; it's actually more to test myself and be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection!

(Let's note before we get in to it, I spent more than I intended on spending; and dipped in to June's budget early - I will save it for next month though) But, I'm happy with the purchases, but I would like to be a little more responsible for next month! 

Iceland Blue Lagoon Mask ~ $50.00 CAN. So, this product was a total extra splurge and I knew that I was allowing myself to purchase this outside of my budget as I love a good mask splurge. I had a friend travelling to Iceland and going to the Blue Lagoon and offered to bring me back a mask! So, this is really cool and I'm very excited to try this out!

Showing support for Pride is showing that you support diversity, equality and increase visibility for the LGBT community. Most Pride celebrations take place in June (for some reason, Calgary does not have their Pride parade until September), but I'm still showing my love and support for Pride this month! I've done a couple different Rainbow Nail art over the past couple of years, so I thought I would recap them if your looking for some Rainbow nail inspiration!
