I didn't try too many new products this month, and honestly I took September too regroup and relax, so I was mainly using old beloved products; but, there was enough to share some new beloved products!

Calgary has such a short pretty Fall season - we usually have a week in between Summer and Winter, but we've really lucked out this year, and so I'm taking advantage with some trips out with stunning mountain views!

Happy Friday everyone! What a week it's been; but, the best part of all is that it is officially Fall now! But, we also had a Federal election on Monday with no huge changes to the system, so it felt a little wasteful while we are still in the midst of a pandemic. 

And then, also on Monday, Alberta's "Restriction Exemption Program" or vaccine passport system came in to effect. But, I was also supposed to start up on a volleyball team again and it got cancelled with the new restrictions, so that's a bummer! So there has been lots going on and on top of it, my little guy was sick so I had a day home in there to take care of him!

I hope you guys have been enjoying the addition of some of my top reads, because it is not going anywhere! So, if you are looking for a book to rip your heart out, seriously, look no further! The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller was a no-brainer 5 star read - this book is so stunning, there is no better way to describe it!

I will try ALL the body masks - I think they are so much fun! I know we mainly think of face masks when we think of masking, but you can literally find masks for every body part, including your butt! I've tried a few butt masks, but they've been more expensive, so I absolutely love that Freeman Beauty is bringing affordable body masking to the drugstore (spotted at Walmart in stores and online!)

Besame Cosmetics - Aurora Disney Princess Signature Compact & Lipstick

I'm sure it's pretty clear by now that I'm rather obsessed with Disney Princess makeup lines, especially Aurora lines!

So, when Besame announced that they were doing a super-limited release with Disney as part of the Ultimate Princess Celebration, I knew I was going to have to try and snag the Aurora set!

I have been loving all the neutral Fall nail looks, so I picked up a couple of polishes from the new China Glaze Fall 2021 Autumn Spice collection and I'm so excited about them! I love the Fall shades and they are perfect for this week's mani!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all have a great week - it's kind of crazy here, Alberta is deep in to the 4th Covid wave and more measures were implemented and a vaccine passport system, which is great for those of us who are vaccinated, but it is just so up and down, it's a little exhausting.

When Illumicrate announced that they were partnering with Erin Morgenstern to create a special edition The Night Circus box for the 10th Anniversary of the book, I knew that I had to get it! I was so excited, I've never actually picked up anything from Illumicrate, and this was separate from their regular book subscription.

The Night Circus was published 10 years ago today, and I'm sure you've heard me talk about it a lot, but this is easily my favourite book - the magic, the setting, the love, the challenge, it's all just so lovely! I'm currently on my 6th read of this book and it's the perfect Fall book; it just gets better and better every time I read it!

I just received my August Owlcrate subscription (there was some delays waiting for products, so it's a little late!) and this month's theme is "Dark Academia" - each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and comes with a note from the author as well. They often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun! As a bookworm, I have been loving this subscription!

I'm a big fan of Jillian Harris, so when she announced last year that she was starting a subscription box, I was so excited! The box started with the Winter 2019 box and sadly, I was not one of the lucky originals who won a subscription spot, so I sign up every season and hope to get picked for a lottery spot!

Monthly Beauty Haul ~ August 2021

I always love these haul posts - it's a way to keep track of everything that I picked up every month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know! 

Last year, I got a little crazy about trying to stick to a crazy budget and this year I'm just going to buy what I want and try and be reasonable about my purchases!

Besame Ultimate Princess Celebration - Signature Compact Series ~ $169.00 CAN. Okay, I love the past Besame Sleeping Beauty products I've purchased - they are so stunning and the packaging is amazing. These are a very limited release - only 500 of each princess in production! Naturally, I had to pick up the Sleeping Beauty one (I tried for Ariel previously and it sold out before I could decide). These are released every two weeks on Tuesdays - the next on is Cinderella on September 7, so get ready if you want one! I will review this beautiful set soon!
