And, because I'm on my way to Disneyland, I'm having a little Disney themed week here - so, naturally, I had to have some Disney nails and I went with a Toy Story theme! 

Mad Beauty Disney Star Wars Face Masks Set - Try on and Review

Happy Skincare Sunday! I'm kicking off a bit of a Disney themed week here because we are off to Disneyland tomorrow morning and will be there all week!

When I saw the sneak peeks of these Star Wars masks from Made Beauty, I new I had to place an order and get them on my face ASAP! These were just released last month, so they are pretty new to the Mad Beauty line.

September 2019 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

Time for a look at everything I picked up this month - I really love these Monthly Haul posts - they give me a way to share everything I pick up each month as I don't always post about everything I get!

For 2019, I put myself on "stricter" $100 a month budget (I'm getting a little less strict as the year goes on unfortunately), not because I need to; it's actually to be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection!

Besame order ~ $123.22 CAN. Okay, I could absolutely NOT resist this Besame and Sleeping Beauty collection! Besame doesn't just throw a Disney collection together, they actually work with the movie and colour matches everything perfectly to the movie! I haven't been this excited about a makeup collection in a while and I didn't even pick up the eyeshadow palette! I got the highlighter and blush palette, the translucent powder, and the Sleeping Beauty pink lipstick. Plus, Besame added a hand cream because orders were a little slow moving with the demand of this collection! 

Five on Friday - September 27, 2019

Happy Friday everyone! It's the first week of Fall already! I hope you've all had a great week! I wish Calgary had a longer Fall, I mentioned this already; but, we get two days of Fall this week and then boom Winter! We went from +20 earlier this week to expecting -2 and snow all weekend!

We've been sick all week here; but, are slowly on the mend and good thing too - we are getting excited because we are leaving for Disneyland on Monday! Woo hoo I can't wait! I love Disneyland and am looking forward to the Star Wars Galaxy's Edge and the Halloween parties there! So, things will be a little quieter around here next week as I'm not bringing my computer, but will have some posts lined up while I'm away!

I've said it before, I'm actually fairly new to trying drugstore products - a few years ago I was pretty solidly only a Sephora shopper and over the last few years blogging, it's really opened my eyes to how good drugstore makeup is now! 

End of Summer Project Pan Wrap-up!

September 2019 - Four Mosa Sheet Mask Kit Subscription

I'm a sucker for subscription boxes - you know that this blog was started as a subscription review blog and expanded in to a beauty blog over the years. I'm also a sucker for sheet masks, so naturally I feel the need to try all the sheet mask subscriptions I can! 

*Edit November 2019 - FourMosa did not send out an October subscription and returned money for my yearly subscription minus that month (lucky I got my money back); but, they still have an active website, but I would not recommend signing up for them.

Manicure Monday - Mani & Pedi at The Nail Keeper Edmonton, Alberta

Happy Manicure Monday everyone! Last week I was in Edmonton, Alberta for a week of training for work. So, while I was away from home, I treated myself to a manicure/pedicure at The Nail Keeper!

I was so excited when I saw that this Charlotte Tilbury dry sheet mask was available on Sephora; because, I've never tried a dry sheet mask before and they sound so cool!

Revlon ColorStay Full Cover Foundation in 150 Buff ~ $20.99 CAN. Revlon ColorStay Full Cover Foundation provides an amazing, full coverage perfected look that lasts all day long. 

I fell in love pretty instantly with this foundation - it made my March Favourites and you can see a full look at this product on me here! It's a very neat texture - it almost feels whipped, or as Revlon refers to it as velvet. It applies really softly and nicely; but, dries down nicely and doesn't stay tacky at all and it wears all day - well around 10 hours without breaking up on my combo skin! I have noticed it can disappear from the nose a touch, so I'm careful with my powder; but, I loved the coverage of this. I really like this foundation!

Happy Friday the 13th! Did you know that not only is today Friday the 13th but it's also a Full Moon tonight?! So, it was fun that for a facilitation course I was doing all week ended with me doing a presentation on magic and Harry Potter! 

And, that's why it's been a super quiet week around here - I have been in Edmonton for work all week and I thought I would have a little more time for myself! But, I treated myself to a mani pedi night and a night of shopping, so I did still take some time for myself!

It's time for a look at my September Monthly Makeup Basket! Each month I've been picking a few different face products to focus on for the month! I'm really trying to focus this year on using and enjoying my whole makeup collection! 

ColourPop Haul, Swatches and Look - Main Squeeze, Orange You Glad?, Uh-Huh Honey, Pressed Glitters, Lip Crayons, and BFF Mascara and Liner!

Time for a huuuuuge Colourpop Haul! I have been collecting ColourPop orders from December to July and it's taken me a little while to try everything out! (I seriously hold on to everything until I feel like I can take pictures and use it and blog about it!) So, this whole "haul" is actually the result of a couple of different orders!

So, the product that pushed this over the edge for me was the Orange You Glad? palette - it's my newest purchase and the product that I was the most excited about! I have been loving the monochromatic palettes that have been releasing and I was so happy to see the orange palette, so I picked it up immediately!

ColourPop Haul ~ $71.17 CAN ($52.20 US). I have resisted quite a few of the Colourpop monochromatic palettes, but when the Orange You Glad palette was released, I couldn't resist! So, I also picked up the yellow Uh-Huh Honey palette, a couple of lip crayons, and a couple of zodiac Scorpio shadows!

Inc.redible is the makeup and skincare line from Nails Inc and I've tried a couple of things from them but not many - a fun unicorn mask and a jelly lipstick. I'm certainly intrigued to try more from the brand (they have some really affordable looking jelly shadows that are on my wishlist!)
