Happy Halloween everyone! This year I had a baby dragon so I HAD to dress up as The Mother Dragons right?!
Danaerys Targaryen or her full title "Daenerys of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Protector of the Realm, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons" is bad ass and especially in Season 7!
Her makeup is actually quite natural, and really her look is all about the bold brow! I will say, although her makeup is natural looking, it still took me quite a few products to get the full look!

Manicure Monday - Graveyard Nails!
Happy Manicure Monday - yes, you heard that right; I actually have a new nail post this week on a Monday! I'm in full Halloween spirit and I am doing Graveyard Nails!
What's Up Nails and Nail Polish Canada recently teamed up with a few bloggers to give away free Halloween nail vinyls! I thought the little graveyard scene was awesome so I scooped up a pair for my nails this week! I have used this brand of nail vinyls before and love them because you can use them both as stencils (where you paint in the outline) or as stickers where you just apply them directly to the nails!

Skincare Sunday Halloween Prep - Double Cleanse With Dermalogica NEW PreCleanse Balm + a GIVEAWAY!
Happy Skincare Sunday everyone! I have been busy prepping all month with Halloween makeup looks. But, one thing we don't think about is how are we going to take off all that Halloween makeup off at the end of the night!
Did you see my recent Glam Panda, or last year's Unicorn, Leopard, or Doll makeup looks?! (If you haven't thought of a Halloween look yet, you can use these as some inspiration!) But all of these looks were really makeup heavy and some were really hard to wash off (especially all the black around the eyes of the panda look).
This year in preparation for Halloween I had to practice my Daenerys Targaryen makeup, and Dermalogica uses a double cleanse system that is perfect for helping to clear off every last bit of that Halloween makeup! They have a new PreCleanse Balm for the double cleanse system now too!

Five on Friday - October 27, 2017
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - ours has been busy and a little tiring but good!
ONE
Have you guys heard of Monat before? I hadn't heard of it until a couple of weeks ago. A few girls in our mom group have been told it helped with post-partum hair loss (which I am currently experiencing in full swing right now!)
A Calgary rep sent me a couple of samples to try out! I received the Hydration System which includes the Revive Shampoo ($45.00 CAN) and Revitalize Conditioner ($61.00 CAN) - both meant to "increase hair density, strength and manageability". Also the Replenish Masque ($65.00 CAN) which is meant to help "increase hair brilliance, strength and vitality". Then, a sample of the Rejuvenique Oil ($129.00 CAN) which is meant to "nourish and energize the scalp with 11+ unique molecular ingredients that are so pure and versatile that it can be used in multiple ways to improve skin and hair".

October 2017 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Review and Swatches!
So over the past couple of months I have been trying to do full face try ons with my Boxycharm; but, I didn't think there was enough makeup products this month to do a full try on! So, I only swatched the products this month - I hope that's okay!
Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box for $21.00 a month + $5.00 shipping to Canada (shipping is free to the U.S.) Boxycharm sends 4 to 5 full size and luxury size beauty items.
This subscription focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! While it is a little pricier than the more inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size, with a deluxe sample every once in a while.
Every subscriber generally receives the same products, but their is usually 1 or 2 items that have a few variations, so our boxes may not be identical!
Here is a look at my October Boxycharm:
This month's monthly "theme" is Spellbound and Boxycharm always includes a detailed product card to explain the products you received!

DIY Mask Thursday - Do It Yourself Pumpkin Face Mask!
Happy Mask Day friends! I'm switching it up from trying a new mask, and today i'm doing something different and making my own mask! I would love to hear what you guys think of the DIY mask and I might do it every month or two with some new fun recipes! Not only is DIY an affordable option, everything is fresh and natural.
Another great part about DIYing your own mask is that you can adjust the "recipe" to suit your own skin type by adding or omitting ingredients!
As this was my first DIY mask, I stuck to a pretty basic recipe:
2 TBSP pumpkin puree (fresh is great, but I just used canned!)
1 raw egg, whisked
1 TBSP raw honey

For the whole month of October, I'm hoping to get in a bunch of Halloween nail looks! This week I wanted to do some Spooky/Scary eyes!
These weren't actually my plan this week; but i'm loving how they turned out - the green polish looks awesome under the black!

Halloween Look - Pretty Glam Glitter Panda Makeup!
Happy Halloween month! I absolutely love doing Halloween makeup looks and this year I really wanted to do a Panda look; but, I had to glam it up a bit!
I just added a hint of glitter and blush to a fairly basic panda look to brighten it up a bit (plus, I usually have a hint of glitter in most of my Halloween looks!) I personally didn't really want a really white base as I find it can be too thick and hard to work over, so the faded white look was purposeful, but of course you pick the level of coverage you want!

Skincare Sunday - Small Batch Soaps Fall Shopping Haul!
I absolutely love finding new, amazing soap and bath goodies companies (because I can never have enough bath bombs!!!) and it's even better when they are Canadian companies! But seriously, I came across Small Batch Soaps on Instagram from a fellow blogger who posted a picture of their unicorn soap and I HAD TO HAVE ONE! Then, I scrolled through their instagram and needed one of everything so I placed an order ASAP!
Small Batch Soap offers all vegan products made with natural ingredients, and are free of parabens, phthalates, preservatives and more! They are all handmade in small batches - this is truly a small, Canadian business!

Happy Friday everyone!!! Oooh... how spooky a Friday the 13th in October! I'm not superstitious, nor do I watch scary movies, but if I did watch them - I would especially watch one tonight! Maybe, I will catch up on an episode of American Horror Story instead!
ONE
This past weekend was Thanksgiving here in Canada and we had such a lovely family weekend! We had 2 delicious dinners at my mom's house and my inlaw's house - I love turkey dinner; but, the best part of the weekend is acknowledging how thankful I am for these 3 precious boys!

Mask Thursday - Too Cool For School Pumpkin 24k Gold Sheet Mask Review
Happy Masking Day! Once, I saw this Too Cool For School pumpkin mask I knew I had to try it right away! I mean, a Pumpkin mask during Halloween month can't be anymore perfect!
Too Cool For School Pumpkin 24K Gold Sheet Mask ~ $10.00 CAN. A bio-cellulose sheet mask drenched in pumpkin fruit extract and 24K gold for radiant, well-nourished skin.
This mask is designed for dullness, dryness, and rough texture. The pumpkin is great for soothing dry skin, and the gold is great for brightening the skin! The bio-cellulose mask is a great material - it is a very thin gel mask and adheres well to the skin! Apparently, the material holds "up to 100 times its dry weight in fluid, it fits like a second skin and delivers intensive benefits."

Happy Nail Day! I love Halloween so much and I always need to do some fun Halloween nails!
I love The Nightmare Before Christmas - i mean it has Halloween, Christmas, Tim Burton, Oogy Boogy man, good songs - what else do you want in a movie?! My family and I actually sing songs from this movie year round! And, even though the Director finally clarified that it is a Halloween movie, I still have to watch it at Halloween and Christmas!

September 2017 - Monthly Favorites!
Here is a look at what I have been loving in September:
Hiddencos Americano Mask ~ $15.98 US for 10 masks. Contains a Premium Arabica coffee extract from Columbia. It is rich in moisturizing and nourishing effect for the tired and dry skin with polluted external environment. It is vital and brightly managed. With Green tea extract and Portulaca extract and other various natural ingredients to make your skin soft to moisturize to relax your skin.
I have reviewed this mask on a Mask Wednesday - you can check it out here. The smell is amazing - seriously, picture wearing a mask with a fall candle. It smells like a caramel coffee and has a dark essence that really hydrated and brightened my skin! Love this mask!

September 2017 - Monthly Empties!
Let's get right in and have a look at my beauty garbage for this month and my thoughts on the products:
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer ~ travel size $26.00. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is a sheer, lightweight formula with a hint of color you can use in place of foundation for a natural finish and a healthy glowing complexion.
This is my second travel size bottle of this - I didn't love it the first time around, and now I like it a little bit more. It was easily my go-to over the Summer. It is light weight and gentle on the skin, but it wasn't super long lasting. It was just ok.

National Frappe Day with Lip Smacker Frappe Coffee Party Pack!
Happy National Frappe Day! I always think it's great when a random holiday pops up for the perfect blog post! Seriously, I just got these adorable Lip Smacker Frappes and had to share them right away!
Lip Smacker has always had the best lip balms - I can remember as a kid loving their grape lip balm so much that I cried when my dog ate my whole tube!
The packaging of these is so cute and they are all the perfect Fall coffee scents! Who doesn't need need a Pumpkin Spice scented lip balm that is also adorable?! I know that one is going right in my purse! Plus, my husband and a friend already scooped up their favorite Fall scents and started using them right away too (Mocha Chip and Vanilla Chai)!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - ours was pretty good, but my husband has been out of town again this week. I have been a single mom to 1 kid before, but doing it all by myself with 2 has made for a long week! I'm looking forward to a little r&r this weekend for Thanksgiving!
ONE
Yay - I got a new mask hairband!! How cute is this?! Now, I don't need to look like a kitty cat all the time and can throw in a panda look while masking! But really, I love these for masking. They fit well and cover and hold back all my hair and protect my hairline (plus this was like $2 on ebay so how do you go wrong?!)

Mask Thursday - New Rodial Snake Oxygenating & Cleansing Bubble Mask Review + A Few Extra Snake Goodies!
Happy Thursday everyone! Okay, bubble masks are everywhere right now, so of course I have to try multiple masks! This one is really neat because it's actually a sheet mask and once you apply the sheet mask it bubbles up!
Rodial Snake Oxygenating & Cleansing Bubble Mask ~ $9.00 US each or $60.00 for 8 masks. This detoxifying bubble mask generates O2 bubbles to remove dirt, dead skin cells and excess oil revealing a brighter-looking complexion. Purifying bamboo charcoal deeply cleanses and unclogs pores for fresher, smoother looking skin whilst a rich blend of collagen, ceramide, vitamins a & e and peptides leave it revitalized.
This mask combines two of this year's hottest trends in skincare: oxygen cleansers and bamboo charcoal! I have featured skincare products using both of these ingredients multiple times on the blog, so the benefits are fairly well-known. Oxygen bubbles help deep clean the skin to clear out pores are remove impurities, while bamboo charcoal brightens and refreshes the skin for an overall clean, bright look! Of course, these two ingredients will compliment each other!

September 2017 - Month in Masks & Mask Empties!
Masking is a huge part (and probably my favorite part) of my skincare routine! I try to use all types of masks as often as possible as I find they really help moisturize and improve my skin!
This post is a review of all the masks I use each month and mini reviews on all of them - I also consider the Month of Masks my Mask Empties post, because I do not feature my sheet masks in my monthly empties post! You can check out my past Month of Masks here!
Here is a look at the masks I used in September:
September 1
Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask ~ $34.00. Leaves skin glowing and radiant thanks to Vitamin C and its AHA and volcanic stone exfoliation.
I love that these Vichy masks are only 5 minutes to use! This one is great - apply a layer to face, wear for 5 minutes, rub in with fingers to peel and then rinse off! I think it works great and my skin looked glowy and smooth the next morning! Love this! (If you want to see a full review on this, check out my past review here!)
Repurchase: Yes, I still have lots to use!

Manicure Monday - Essie Gel Couture Polish 1 Week Update!
Happy Manicure Monday! Last week I shared my first impressions about the Essie Gel Couture polish in Sage You Love Me and the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat - and, it's no secret that I loved them! They applied so smoothly on the nails and the brush was so great to use. It was perfectly curved so that no clean up was required.
This polish is supposed to last up to 14 days, so the real question is - did the staying power of the Essie Gel Couture polish live up to my first impressions?
The quick and easy answer is YES! I have been wearing this polish for a full week now and it still looks amazing! There is a few minor scuffs, mostly right around the edges of the nails - and I really mean minor! You can see in the pictures that they still look almost as good as they did last week when they were freshly painted! And also, really impressive was the face that the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat held on this striping tape and I thought for sure it would lift during this week!

Happy October Everyone!!!! Come October 1st, you can catch me decorating for Halloween and singing "this is Halloween, this is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, everybody SCREAM!!!" I can watch all my Halloween movies and have all my Halloween baths!
Every Halloween I have to get a few Lushoween goodies so I can have a month of Halloween baths!!!
Seriously, Lush always makes the cutest Holiday collections - Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Mother's Day - you name it!
