Masking - Last 50 Days Of My #100DaysofSheetMasks

Way back on August 1, I started a #100Daysofsheetmasks challenge with a fellow blogger, Jayne from Cosmetic Proof and the challenge went all the way to November 8. Basically, we wear a mask every day for 100 days straight! I shared my reviews and thoughts of my First 50 days on another post - you can check it out here if you are interested

Some masks may have been received as PR or won in giveaways - this post contains affiliate links

While I found the first 50 days really fun, I did actually think the second 50 days was quite hard to get to - it almost made masking feel a little like a chore to me (sadly), so I actually haven't used a sheet mask since I finished the 100 days! But, I certainly plan on starting again in moderation! And, this challenge was good and my skin certainly benefited from it, I think I'd do a month timeline as a max for the next round!

So, I haven't been sharing my mask reviews on my Empties for August, September, October or November so I can round them all up for you here! Be prepared for a ton of mask reviews:

Happy Skin Facial Mask - Rose ~ $7.95 CAN. Rose extract is a natural and deep moisturising agent, loaded with antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins. This refreshing sheet mask will soothe the skin and keep the complexion hydrated.

I reviewed a couple others from this brand in the first 50 days, and I really thought these were printed - I know that's not a big deal as it's a mask, but the packaging just led me to believe that. This was a comfortable mask to wear, but it was so strong that even I had a hard time with the scent, and I normally don't mind. It was super floral and reminded me of a grandmother's bathroom (you know, really rosy potpourri)

Repurchase: Probably not

Tony Moly Megatox Sheet Mask in Bright Shot ~ $6.50 US. Brightens the skin and combats dark spots with Glutathione, an antioxidant that rids the skin of free radicals and toxins that can lead to hyper-pigmentation.

I always think Tony Moly's packaging is really clever and I think this is funny to look like a syringe - I had a phase where I could not resist anything by the brand, but I've been better lately! The only thing about the packaging was that the mask was rolled up inside of it, so it was actually a little hard to unroll - it stuck together and I was worried that I was going to rip it. The mask itself was fine. It hydrated and refreshed my skin.
Repurchase: Not likely

The Body Shop Vitamin E Quench Sheet Mask ~ $6.00 CAN. Hydrate thirsty skin in just 15 minutes with our Vitamin E Quench Sheet Mask. Enriched with Community Trade organic aloe vera, natural-origin hyaluronic acid and wheatgerm oil, this mask locks in 24hr hydration and leaves skin feeling instantly softer, smoother and re-plumped with moisture.

This mask fit okay on me, but it had a fairly strong laundry scent that actually made my eyes tingle and water a little - I found it a bit hard to wear for 15 minutes. Once it was removed, my skin felt a little tight and slightly itchy. I've previously tried 2 masks from the Body Shop and quite liked them, so I'm a little surprised by this - perhaps there is an ingredient in this one that doesn't quite agree with me.
Repurchase: I'd like to try it again to see if it's me or the mask!

Mediheal Mogongtox Soda Bubble Sheet Mask ~ $24.90 CAN for 10 masks. An innovative bubbling facial sheet mask. Developed by applying the principle of carbonated water. Creates rich fresh fine bubbles upon contact with skin to remove impurities & old keratin. Formulated with apple extract, papaya fruit extract & green beans. Helps shrink pores, promote circulation & stimulate cell turnover. Skin appears smoother, brighter, more translucent & revived.

Isn't this the funniest shaped mask?! I like the areas that it targeted though, so it worked for me and fit well for the shape. This mask bubbled up really nicely, I wore it for 10 minutes and it rinsed off easily. I thought it worked nicely and skin appeared more refreshed and clear.
Repurchase: Maybe, I would certainly use it again if I had it...

The Body Shop Drops of Youth - Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask ~ $8.00 CAN. In just 15 minutes get ready for bouncier, healthier-looking skin with our unique, biodegradable Drops of Youth™ Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask. Enriched with a concentrated dose of our iconic Drops of Youth™ formula, simply unfold your mask and smoothe it on. It’s easy and comfortable to apply and leaves your skin feeling instantly smoother and fresher.

This mask was fine - it was a decent fit and wore well. It lasted 20 minutes on me and it left my skin refreshed and soft! This mask is 100% vegetarian, biodegradable, and 99% natural ingredients.

Sugu Avocado Sheet Mask ~ $4.95 CAN. All hail the mighty Avo! The SUGU Moisturizing Sheet mask harnesses the power of our favorite superfood.

Bio cellulose sheet technology ensures the perfect delivery of our super-charged ingredients. Powered by Luminous Pearl Extract - provides an immediate brightening boost.

I was so excited when I saw "bio cellulose sheet technology" because I love a bio-cellulose mask, so I was really disappointed when I saw that this was not a biocellulose mask! What is just the technology?! So weird that they would even put that! This wore well and was fine on my face - nothing spectacular, but my skin was soft after wearing this.
Repurchase: Ehhh... probably not

Holika Holika Baby Pet Magic Mask Sheet - Soothing Cat ~ $6.00 CAN. Cute character mask sheet refreshes and soothes skin, leaving skin feeling soft.

This was very strongly scented - it was very floral and it was distracting. I can't even remember if this worked well or not because all I can remember is taking this off early because of the scent.
Repurchase: No

Blaq Eye Mask x 2 ~ $29.00 US for 5 pairs. Late nights, too many cheeky wines and let’s not forget those carb-on-carb delights, can have our peepers looking, well, not so fresh. Leave the evidence of last night behind, and pop on our activated charcoal eye mask to de-puff, detox and get back to your shiny, gorgeous self.

These masks wore really well and adhered under the eyes without slipping around at all. These did pretty good to brighten and soothe the under eyes!
Repurchase: They are pretty pricey, so probably not

Farmacy Coconut Gel Sheet Mask - Brightening ~ $8.00 CAN. A coconut water-infused sheet mask with purple broccoli and plant-based collagen for a healthy looking glow.

I've been a huge fan of Farmacy masks for years - they are a lovely bio-cellulose material and it's amazing to wear. This one was just as fantastic as the rest of them and it's just a lovely experience to wear and left my skin looking really good!
Repurchase: YES!

Hey lo Calming White Mask ~ $5.00 US. Has your skin been feeling tired from the busyness of life? Use this calming mask to say “good night” to your skin as the ingredients work to make it feel well rested.

This mask had a really creamy essence - it wore well on the face and was okay. It worked and felt good on the skin. It wasn't ground breaking or anything, but it made my skin feel good.
Repurchase: Nah...

The Face Shop The Solution Nourishing Face Mask ~ $2.99 CAN. This face mask features a light-as-air sheet that feels soft and weightless on skin. The serum containing Propolis provides a nourishing solution to exhausted skin.

The Face Shop masks are ally pretty good and affordable - I think that these are even more accessible now that they are at Shoppers Drug Mart too! This one fit well and was easy to wear. It was nice and hydrating on me!
Repurchase: Probably

Purenskin Collagen Lifting Intensive Mask ~ $3.00 US. Let the ingredients of this mask soak into your skin as it works to provide a lifting and plumping effect.

This mask fit really well - it had lots of essence and wore well. I thought it was fine on my skin. It was hydrating after wearing it, but again another mask that was just okay for me in terms of benefits.
Repurchase: No

Miniso Collagen Eye Masks x2 ~ $??

These masks worked well when I needed them - I was feeling pretty haggard, and they helped smooth and brighten my under eyes.
Repurchase: Maybe, I think I have more to use still

A'Pieu green Tea Milk One-Pack ~ $1.85 CAN. This sheet mask is formulated with green tea extract soothes the skin with refreshing moisture. Witch hazel extract calms the skin and helps reduce redness.

These masks are super cute - I always talk about packaging and how it draws me in! This smells really nicely and it was pleasant to wear. It had a pretty  good fit (it was a little big, but folded and adhered well). I did think my skin looked more even and smooth after wearing this - it was soothing as well!
Repurchase: Yes, love how affordable they are too

The Face Shop Smile Foot Mask ~ $?. A unique single-use mask to nourish the feet. Supplies vital moisture to soften skin. Helps soothe & refresh tired feet. Lightweight formula for quick absorption. Leaves feet feeling relaxed & comfortable.

This was nothing special - I'm pretty sure that this was really old, so it's probably lost all of it's effectiveness. These were easy to wear but I didn't think that they were softening at all - didn't do much for me. I also think these have been replaced with a "peeling" type foot mask instead.
Repurchase: Nope

Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask - BHA ~ $5.46 CAN. Sheet masks made of 100% natural cotton help in the absorption of powerful ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, catechins, madecassoside, collagen, BHA, peptides and Vitamin C. I have been a big fan of Innisfree masks for a long time - I wish they were found in stores closer to me because I really enjoy them! I thought this one worked really well! It was really brightening and cleared up my skin tone and it looked refreshed after wearing this!
Repurchase: Yes!

FLOWER Beauty Power Up! Sheet Mask Moisture Boosting ~ $3.99 CAN. Power Up! Moisture Boosting Sheet Mask, the perfect pick me up to refresh and revive your skin. Bio cellulose sheet technology ensures the perfect delivery of our supercharged ingredients, while fitting like a second skin. Powered by Alaskan glacier water + mineral rich sea water - soothes and refreshes your skin, while providing cooling hydration.

This was the same situation with the other Flower Beauty mask - why is it lying to me saying bio cellulose when it's not?! It was moisturizing and softening to the skin. It was cooling to wear. Nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't what  I expected and the results were just average for me.
Repurchase: No

Mediheal - I.P.I Lightmax Ampoule Mask ~ $37.66 CAN for 10 masks. Contain Stable vitamin C-AA2G, Arbutin and Mulberry Extract to brighten dull skin, creating white, clear skin full of radiance.

This was a super thin mask material and it just adhered so well on the face - I like the bunny on the cheeks! This had a ton of essence it wore for almost an hour. It left my skin super hydrated and soft! I'm a big fan of Mediheal masks and this lived up to that!

How fun are these masks?! I love that they are bright red! I added these on to a past FabFitFun box because I thought they sounded so fun! Also, I love a good snail mask - it's a very nourishing ingredient. This mask fit really well, it had a ton of essence and made my skin so smooth! I want to write a full review on this mask soon - stay tuned!
Repurchase: Maybe

Masque Bar Pretty Animalz Sloth Clarifying Sheet Mask ~ $3.99 CAN. This Sloth Character Print sheet mask is enriched with extracts that help hydrate and moisturize your face for a soothed appearance.

I've done a full review on this mask for Sloth Day - you can see my full thoughts on this here. This could have fit a little better - the printed part didn't quite sit nicely on my face. It had a faint scent and lasted about 20 minutes. It was just okay - nothing super long-lasting in terms of benefits.
Repurchase: Not likely

Erno Laszlo Multi-Task Eye Serum Mask x2 ~ $48.68 CAN for 6 pairs of masks. A silky, all-in-one hydrogel eye mask with ingredients to tackle the major signs of undereye dark circles, puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles.

These masks were fine - they adhered well and lasted a while. They were comfortable to wear and did soften my under eye. They were nice and big and covered well under the eye.
Repurchase: Mmm... not sure, I have more to try

Miniso Fucus Moisturizing Silk Mask x2 ~ $4.99 CAN for 3 masks. Fresh oil control, brighten the skin tone and help skin water storage, long-term replenishment, improve dry and peeling problems and large pores, make skin moist and refreshing, enhance the skin resistance.

Okay, I have tried this in the first 50 days and I thought it was brightening and worked well. But, I used it this time and it really stung my eyes and made my eyes water - I couldn't even wear this for 5 minutes this time. So weird though as it worked the first time - I have more to try so I will see a 3rd time how it works!

Repurchase: Ehh.. no likely, I still have more to try though!

SNP Gold Collagen Ampoule Mask ~ $4.00 US. This richly moisturizing & firming ampoule mask contains Gold Powder Extract and Collagen Extract that help enrich your skin's color and texture, while regenerating healthy skin cells.

This is a fine mask - it was a little big but fit on the face well and had a good amount of essence. It wore for about 25 minutes and made my skin smooth. This was fine and was softening, but nothing amazing. I generally like the SNP masks, but this one was just okay.
Repurchase: Nah

Like the other masks, I don't like that they put bio-cellulose on here when it's clearly not. I did think that this one fit really nicely and wore well. It was smoothing and made my skin nice and soft.
Repurchase: Probably not

Miniso We Bare Bears Moisturizing & Glossy Eyes Mask x2 ~ $3.99 CAN for a pack of 5 eye masks. It is made from silk fiber materials, light and delicate texture, with excellent replenishment property and comfort, bringing your eyes a natural protection.

I clearly used a lot of eye masks in these last 50 days This is a super then eye mask that goes all around the eyes - if you want to see what it looks like on, I've done a previous review of this mask,  you can check it out here. These adhere so well and wear for a long time.

Repurchase: Yes, I really like these

Rodial Neck Mask ~ $10.00 CAN. Combining expertise in bio-cellulose technology to intensely hydrate and moisturize skin with amino acids and wheat proteins with skin tensing properties. The neck area is smoothed with a firmer appearance for a more youthful feel.

I was having fun trying some new body masks and I picked up this neck mask - it was fine, but it was certainly smaller than I expected. It just fit on my neck and it stayed on pretty well. It was okay, but I didn't really notice any crazy benefits for $10.
Repurchase: No

Oh K! Korean Snail Mucin Fiber Face Mask ~ $5.99 CAN. Snail fiber mask is formulated to give intense hydration to tired skin.

I'm always saying how much I love snail as a mask ingredient - it's just so nourishing and hydrating. This was a really decent fit and it wore for about 40 minutes; it had a lot of essence! It was very comfortable and super hydrating! My skin was very smooth the next morning.
Repurchase: Yes

The Face Shop The Solution Firming Face Mask ~ $2.99 CAN. This face mask features a light-as-air sheet that feels soft and weightless on skin. The serum containing Collagen provides a resilience solution to saggy skin.

Repurchase: Most likely

Pixi Beauty Glow Boost Sheet Mask ~ $14.00 CAN for set of 3 masks. Give your skin the amazing boost it needs with this exfoliating microfibre sheet mask with 5% Glycolic Acid, Aloe Vera & Ginseng.

This mask was really smooth and fit very well! It came with a lot of essence. Because this is a BHA mask, I would not wear this for over the suggested time of 10 to 15 minutes. My skin did look bright and refreshed after wearing this.
Repurchase: Likely, I have more to try

Leaders Illuminating Treatment Mask ~ $5.00 US. A natural cellulose cotton sheet mask that provides an intense brightening system for dull skin. Repurchase: Yes, I would!

Ariul Bamboo Water 7 Days Mask ~ $3.00 US. Moisturizing bamboo water, full of amino acids and minerals, hydrates skin while defending against the signs of aging. The cellulose material of the mask retains moisture so your mask won't dry out. It also conforms and adheres to skin for optimal absorption of the serum.

Despite how this one looks, it actually fit well. It was a little big but folded and fit well. It was moisturizing and worked well. I recently picked up the whole series of the 7 days and and am excited to try them all out together!
Repurchase: I did!

Meg Cosmetics Two Step Jelly Mask ~ $6.00 CAN. Designed to give you an all-over glow, this innovative 2-step mask kit refines and restores your complexion. First, a lactic acid pad gently exfoliates away dull, dry patches, then a targeted mask infused in botanical extracts deeply nourishes, for soft, supple skin.

I picked up the Moisturizing + Vitalizing type and it was good. The first step is an AHA peel swap that you quick wipe over the face, then you apply the mask. And, the term jelly mask is correct - the essence is quite jelly and a little lumpy. This came with a ton of essence and a little too much - it was dripping off of the mask so much! It did work well and I thought it was very moisturizing to my skin!
Repurchase: If I see it again, yes!

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial x6 ~ $80.00 US. Babyfacial is a pro-quality AHA/BHA “facial” that resurfaces to reveal greater clarity, improved skin texture and tone, and a more youthful radiance. Think of it as an extra nudge for stubborn, dull skin (in other words, it’ll knock your cells off).

Okay, I know this isn't a sheet mask, but I picked it up in the middle of the challenge and I had to try it! Also, I didn't want to use sheet masks after this, because I didn't know how they would react, but I also wanted to see how this would work on it's own. And, it's fantastic! No other words - it made my Monthly Favourites in November! I was do a more detailed review soon, but my skin has never looked better - I use this once per week and it's so good at smoothing and resurfacing. The amount of breakouts that I've had since using this has gone done drastically!
Repurchase: I still have lots to go, but YES!

FaceTory Oh My Goodness Rejuvenating Snail Mask ~ $3.50 US. Oh My Goodness! A Snail Mask! Using a rayon sheet material, this mask contains amazing, beneficial ingredients to hydrate and soothe so your skin feels rejuvenated. This mask will have you saying "Oh My Goodness!" in no time.

This mask was pretty good - again I love snail masks and so I had high hopes. I found this mask had a fairly big fit around the nose and it didn't sit well around those areas. This was pretty good and was hydrating.
Repurchase: Maybe

FaceTory Glow Baby Glow ~ $5.00 US. The name says it all! Get your glow on with this 2 step mask that gets your face from dull to BRIGHT in just 15-20 minutes. This mask uses a cupra sheet, and is packed with ingredients that make your skin glow from within while also offering soothing benefits.

This FaceTory was just okay too - it didn't fit great as well. This just didn't sit well in the middle of my face so I felt like some of my face wasn't getting the benefits. This was fine and did make my skin feel soft and smooth.
Repurchase: Not likely

The Face Shop Mask.Lab Double Wrap Face Mask ~ $6.00 US. This intensely moisturizing mask features a double-wrapping sheet with a layer of special film that locks in moisture and effectively promotes the absorption of ceramide serum.

This mask fit huge - it was so big, I could not smooth this over my face at all. There was no way I'm getting the benefits of these added layers when I can't even get the whole mask to sit on my face! I thought this was hydrating, but I just could not get over this fit.
Repurchase: No

Leaders AC Clear Treatment Mask ~ $4.00 US. The AC Clear Treatment Mask is a 100% all natural cotton sheet mask that features a formula perfect for those with overactive sebum production, acne and irritations from external factors. The gentle but potent formula will help calm angry blemishes and redness while balancing sebum production. Features snail filtrate to soothe and reduce scarring and dark spots.

I loved this mask and I just featured this on my November Monthly Favourites! This mask wore well and the fit was good - my skin was balanced, refreshed and even. Plus it was brightening and smoothing! I was really impressed with this!
Repurchase: Yes!

So this challenge started on August 1, day 50 was September 19 and day 100 was November 8! This was quite the challenge to get through, especially the last half of the challenge! My skin has certainly been so soft, smooth, hydrated and refreshed from using all the masks!

  1. Great roundup! I can see how doing 100 days would start to feel more like a chore over having fun with it. I loved doing the month of masking back in Feb, and I think a month straight would be my limit too.
