December 2019 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

Time for a look at everything I picked up in December - I really love these Monthly Haul posts - they give me a way to share everything I pick up each month as I don't always post about everything I get!

For 2019, I put myself on "stricter" $100 a month budget, not because I need to; it's actually to be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection! But, over the past couple of months, I got a little less strict and went over budget! (I still think I'm being a little more thoughtful in my purchases while I go overboard!)

I purchased everything in this post

Shoppers Drug Mart Haul ~ $50.64 CAN. (I also redeemed $220.00 worth of Optimum points). Alright, I love when Shoppers has a point redemption event, so I stocked up! I picked up a back up of the Estee Lauder Double Wear, as well as Double Wear Light. Then I picked up a Too Faced Glitter Glue, Urban Decay Naked concealer (hoping to replace my Naked Skin concealer), then I picked up the Catrice, Patchology, Quo and bath bomb sets - that I featured in my Stocking Stuffers post. I picked up the Quo crackers that were supposed to arrive before my friends Christmas party, so now I will save them for next year! I also bought the Catrice mascara and liner as well as a Double Cleanser from the Inkey List!

Shoppers Drug Mart Haul #2 ~ $19.61 CAN. And, I had to sneak in an extra haul - I picked up the Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation and the Brow Pencil. (I'm planning a full face of Catrice products soon after receiving the other products in PR, so I just needed  couple extra goodies and I forgot them on my first order).

Sephora Order ~ $52.50 CAN. I usually don't rush out for brand new skincare, but I'm loving everything Glow Recipe releases, so I really wanted to pick up the new Banana Souffle Moisture Cream. I got one of the sample bag with a Too Faced Mascara, Becca powder, Belif moisturizer, Farmacy cleanser, GlamGlow tinted moisturizer and Amika texture spray. And, I added on some point items - the SK-II essence and Stila eyeliner.

Sephora Marketplace Find ~ $30.00 CAN. I have been eyeing the Natasha Denona Bloom Blush & Glow Palette since they included it in a past Boxycharm Premium box, so I finally found a new one on marketplace and scooped it up!

Sephora Marketplace Find #2 ~ $20.00 CAN. I was really excited that Storybook Cosmetics announced they were releasing a Briar Rose palette, but it was in the December Premium Boxycharm. So, I found someone local who wasn't going to use their palette and scooped it up! Plus, they threw in some samples for me!

Sephora Panic Buy ~ $80.25 CAN. So, I was in the middle of trying all my high-end eyeshadows and picking out Favourites and I lost my Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath Labs, and Marc Jacobs shadows - I tore apart my makeup room for 3 days in a row and loved these so much that I repurchased them. I did purchase them in different shades incase I found them later (which I did over a week later). Then I cashed in some points for this Too Faced Peach set.

Peach and Lily Order ~ $124.76 CAN. I was so excited to see the Franz mask set on Peach and Lily. These are a new microcurrent face masks and they had the set on sale! (I was waiting all day yesterday for these to be delivered and then they got delayed until Monday!) But, I actually received these in PR and so I've already started using them and so far so good!

Beautylish Lucky Bag 2020 ~ $0.00 CAN (originally was $124.80). I used my Christmas money to purchase this surprise makeup bag for myself - they release it every year on Boxing Day and I was able to pick up a regular size box for Light/Medium, so when it comes in January I will be unboxing it!

So, for December I spent $377.76 - slightly over what I wanted to spend this month and this has totally been my story for the whole year! Any chance if I try again next year, that I will actually be much stricter about it?! Ahhh... I'm going to try my best!
