Five on Saturday - December 21, 2019

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week! Are you all ready for Christmas?! I'm getting so excited! We are all ready to go and I can use a week off of work - it's been so crazy and I've been pretty overwhelmed!

And, it's the First Day of Winter so it's the shortest day of the year! But, that also means the days are going to start getting longer now! Yay!

ONE

carakozik mug owlcrate harry potter
I purchased everything in this post - this post contains a referral link

How amazing is this mug?! It's made by CaraKozik and it's exclusive to OwlCrate - she made a couple for Harry Potter year 2, 3, and 4 and had included them in one month's box. I wasn't subscribed at the time, so when they released a pre-order for the mugs I jumped at the chance for this one! And, it shipped in November and just arrived!

And, they recently released a few extras on their website - so if you are interested go check them out in the OwlCrate shop under the Mug tab! (I may have picked up a few more because I have no self control and they're lovely!)

TWO

Mmmm... I made Banana Cookies this week and they were really yummy! I had a bunch of bananas and didn't feel like making banana bread again, so I looked up some new recipes and the drop banana cookies were so yummy! The recipe was easy and they tasted like banana bread and we added cranberries to it! Then, then chocolate chip ones are 3-ingredient banana cookies - they were good but I probably should have flattened these out more before I baked them!

THREE

Have you heard of BookOutlet before?! I haven't until very recently and I saw it in a group - it's an outlet for books and they sell them at discounted prices (they sell overstock and some scratch & dent copies - it will say and price is based on this). They had a Black Friday deal, so I go this whole order for $50! I picked up a few already read books for my collection, a few that look and sounded great and one for my little guy. If you want to place an order, here is a referral code for $10 off your first purchase over $25: https://bookoutlet.ca/Loyalty/Referral?raf=xXCMDyB&c=url

FOUR

Yesterday the final Chapter for Star Wars was released: The Rise of Skywalker! My husband and son already got to go see it - I was at home with the little guy, so I will have to wait and see it! I'm looking forward to it though as I've really liked the movies in this series (and Star Wars in general).

FIVE

There has been a couple intriguing documentaries out recently!

I love True Crime and this is a really interesting delve in to the Luka Magnotta case - I've watched the first episode and it was very interesting about a facebook group and the start of the story.

Also, I started watching Broken, specifically for the makeup episode (but the next one is really interesting too!

I hope you all have a great weekend! Good luck if you have to go out for some last minute shopping!
