Everything I used this month was gold - I was just loving everything! And, there is such a fun mix of products in all beauty categories this month: nails, hair, skincare, makeup and tools!

Here is a closer look at my favourite products:

November 2019 - Monthly Favourites!

Hot Tools Signature Series One-Step Blowout Volumizer ~ $79.99 CAN. Get the hairstyle you want with this Hot Tools Signature Series one-step blowout volumizer brush. Patented ION technology combats frizz and provides fast drying, while the Silkglide dual-length bristles gently grip strands of hair, reducing breakage and providing volume and shine. The oval shape of the brush head makes straightening and styling easy.

The first time I tried this I knew it was a game changer! I love this hair drying brush - it works well, it works quickly - my hair is straight and smooth! I rarely blow dry my hair and this actually works so good! I can't stop raving about it! You can see my full review on this product here

Glow Recipe Pineapple-C Brightening Serum ~ $68.00 CAN. A potent, lightweight Vitamin C and AHA serum concentrated with smoothing pineapple juice and hyaluronic acid to brighten and even tone.

Glow Recipe can basically do no wrong to me - everything I've tried from them has been amazing! This serum is fantastic! It uses pineapple juice, vitamin c, and chamomile to brighten and even skintone and it truly delivers on these claims! My skin has looked really great since I've started using this! This smells lightly like pineapple juice and it's so effective! I use is nightly and sometimes during the day too!

Vichy Mineral 89 Eye Care ~ $34.95 CAN. Give your skin its daily boost of strength for a brighter look. Mineral89 Eyes is a non-greasy gel formula combining 89% Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water with natural origin hyaluronic acid and pure caffeine to strengthen the skin’s barrier function.

I really love this eye serum - I use it day and night and find it really hydrating under the eyes! It's been really great for my lines and keeping my under eyes hydrated and bright! You can see my thoughts on this and I featured this in my Fall Transition products!

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial ~ $80.00 US. Babyfacial is a pro-quality AHA/BHA “facial” that resurfaces to reveal greater clarity, improved skin texture and tone, and a more youthful radiance. Think of it as an extra nudge for stubborn, dull skin (in other words, it’ll knock your cells off).

This is another product that I'm pulling out the "game-changer" word for because this is fantastic!!! This is actually too strong of an AHA to be sold in Canada, so you have to pick it up in the States. But, I use this as a weekly resurfacing mask - it's light and gentle and tingles a little for the first few minutes, then boom wear for 20 minutes and skin looks fantastic. My skin overall has not looked this good in a while!

Leaders AC Clear Treatment Mask ~ $4.00 US. The AC Clear Treatment Mask is a 100% all natural cotton sheet mask that features a formula perfect for those with overactive sebum production, acne and irritations from external factors. The gentle but potent formula will help calm angry blemishes and redness while balancing sebum production. Features snail filtrate to soothe and reduce scarring and dark spots.

This is mask made for oily and acne prone skin - I used this on a night that my skin was feeling extra oily and this worked so well. This mask wore well and the fit was good - my skin was balanced, refreshed and even. Plus it was brightening and smoothing! I was really impressed with this - I love Leaders masks and this one lived up to this!

These are a pack of 20 reusable cotton facial pads - I've been using them to remove makeup and apply toner and I really like the switch from disposable. I do think these work at removing makeup and they don't really absorb the product like a disposable cotton pad, so it feels like you are using a little less product too! I really like these ones!

November 2019 - Monthly Favourites!

Essie Gorge-ous Geodes Holographic polish ~ $8.25 CAN. Gorge-ous Geodes is metallic pink holographic.

This is possibly one of the most stunning nail polishes that I've ever seen - this is so gorgeous! You can see this polish on my nails here and I used it again this month and it's really great to work with too! I love it! The shade is gorgeous and it just pairs nicely with other polishes or on it's own! So pretty.

Covergirl Exhibitionist Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in Gilty Party ~ $14.49 CAN. It’s your time to shine! These super sparkly liquid glitter shadows are the best way to amplify your eyes. With its smooth, lightweight feel and quick dry down, you’ll achieve shimmery colour in a flash.

I have picked up a ton of liquid, glitter eyeshadows recently (I'm rather obsessed) - high end and drugstore - and I really loved this formula of the Covergirl shadow! It applied really nicely, the colour was great and it was nice and glittery and shimmery! I thought it wore well and was long-wearing and looked really great on! I can't wait to share a review on this, with some other drug store shadows as well!

Too Faced Hot Buttered Rum Palette ~ $34.00 CAN. A limited-edition eyeshadow palette with eight exclusive matte and metallic shades.

This is easily one of my favourite palettes I picked up this year - it's stunning! I love a good neutral palette and this is really high-quality! I like that it's a warm, neutral palette but it stands out because of the yellow and rust shadows included in it. I just swatched, reviewed and tried it on and you can see it all here! The mattes are blendable and the shimmers are really great!

Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eye Shadow in Ray ~ $38.00 CAN. A weightless, micro-glitter eyeshadow infused with light-reflecting pearls to create high-impact, sparkling eyes.

The are described as reflective, multidimensional micro-glitter shadows that are buildable from a sheer, crystal-like shimmer to an opaque, prismatic glitter finish and the first time I applied this it was like, DAMN the glitter and the look of this was amazing! It is stunning on the eyes and I love it! I am planning on reviewing some high-end glitter shadows soon too! Ray is described as a deep champagne shade and it's lovely!

  1. Ohhh the Too Faced Hot Buttered Rum Palette is gorgeous! Do you think the Babyfacial would be too strong for sensitive skin?

    1. It's not too strong for sensitive skin - it's actually quite gentle. It does feel tingly for the first few minutes, but nothing more than that and it didn't feel harsh at all. Then it recommends you apply marula oil right away.
