November 2019 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Swatches, Review, and Full Make-up Look!

Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box for $25.00 US a month + $5.00 shipping to Canada (shipping is free to the U.S.) Boxycharm sends 4 to 5 full size and luxury size beauty items. While it is a little pricier than the more inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size, with a deluxe product every once in a while.

This subscription was purchased by myself - this post contains affiliate links

It's been over a year since I've tried Boxycharm and I was suckered back in by a few upcoming spoilers, including the palette in this box! Boxycharm has changed their subscriptions like crazy - last year they started with one variant or two but prior to that, every subscriber got the same box. Now the include the base box, Boxycharm Premium which is basically higher end products for more $ each month, and then BoxyLuxe every 3 months for even more!

I actually became quickly annoyed with Boxycharm - I think they've gone too far in to variations and box options and it drove me crazy. I actually had to delete my huge rant about the variations and customer service - it was too much for this post. Long story short, I am never subscribing to Boxycharm again and will stick to buying products in buy and sell groups if I'm interested in something. I just can't with them anymore - it's too much.

But, since I got the November Boxycharm, let's take a look at it:

November 2019 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Swatches, Review, and Full Make-up Look!

The theme for the November 2019 box is "Stellar", but the card no longer has product information, because there is like 20 variations of products you could get and that's too many for a little card.

Here's a closer look at the products I received:

November 2019 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Swatches, Review, and Full Make-up Look!

Dominique Cosmetics Celestial Thunder Palette ~ $35.00 US. Celestial Thunder is an explosion of vivid pigments, shadows, and glittery foils with 8 uniquely formulated shades for a creative colorful eye look or a simple pop of electric color. These vibrantly made shades tell a cosmic story and bring the universe to life.

I've heard really great reviews about the Dominique Cosmetics eyeshadow formula, so I was excited to see this. This palette may be an exclusive or not released yet - it's actually 8 of the 12 pans of the Celestial Storm palette, so I do like that it's a little smaller and a nice intro to the brand!

I do think the full size palette is a little more cohesive, but this is a pretty palette! I actually don't follow Christen Dominique, but I used too - she does gorgeous makeup and I just pick a few youtubers to follow and watch. But, I have no problem with her and think her brand has been well reviewed!

November 2019 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Swatches, Review, and Full Make-up Look!

Eternal Light ~ champagne silver
Fireball ~ red/orange shimmer
Black Matter ~ black shimmer with magenta flecks
Zero Gravity ~ grey/purple matte
Lucid Dream ~ magenta
Storm Dust ~ brick red
Lunar Eclipse ~ orange
Mystic Ice ~ metallic teal

This is a fun mix of colours and there is some really nice colours in here! There is a good mix of mattes and shimmers. I thought the shadows worked well - the mattes blended nicely that I tried and the shimmers looked really pretty on. They weren't as smooth as I expected, but they looked good!

CoverFX Glitter Drops in Nova ~ $58.00 CAN. These ultra-concentrated drops of multi-dimensional glitter create a high impact, reflective finish that wows. This multi-use glitter can be used alone, under or over makeup, or mixed into your foundation or moisturizer for an incredibly luxe, glitter effect on the face and body.

These are pretty and I like that they are full size, but this is some full on glitter. You just need a tiny drop - I don't find the dropper the easiest application method but it did look pretty. I actually think Boxycharm had these quite a long time ago in their boxes and are putting older products in the box - not that this product is bad, just that this shade itself is no longer available on Sephora and Boxycharm has included these before.

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick in Nude Mood ~ $18.00 US. Our Liquid Matte Lipstick has a velvety high-fashion matte finish which envelops lips in rich, long wearing color. It applies as a creamy liquid but after a few minutes it dries to an ultra comfortable matte finish.

I'm happy to see Boxycharm including Dose of Colors in the box - this formula is pretty good for a liquid lipstick and these don't dry down uncomfortably on the lips, so it is wearable. This shade is described as a pinky nude.

Here is a look at the Glitter drops and liquid lipstick swatched on me - you can see how glittery the drops are.

Both are fine products to receive in a subscription, but I'm not personally wowed by either of them.

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Eye Treatment ~ $65.00 CAN. An antioxidant-rich age defying eye serum with a proprietary blend of fruit stem cells, vitamin C, and a certified organic botanical juice base.

I still have so many eye creams to get through, and this sounds great but I will never get to it before it expires. I've tried a few things from Juice Beauty and they've been good, so this is a great product to gift or pass to friends for me!

Tula Star Bright Nourishing & Brightening Cosmic Hydrogel Mask ~ $39.01 for 4 masks (2 masks included in the box). This mask is here for you whenever you need a boost of cosmic glow and hydration.

I'm always excited to see masks in subscriptions - these are products I love and from a brand I haven't tried anything from! I will happily use these.

November 2019 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Swatches, Review, and Full Make-up Look!

And here is a look with the eyeshadow palette, the lipstick, and the glitter drops as a highlighter. So, this box came with a value of $215.01 and Boxycharm knows how to deliver on value for all of their boxes - it's great everything is full sized. But, as someone who is not happy with the service and all of the changes they are making, I can't really give this a non-biased review. I'm just not wowed - I like the palette and the masks, but I'm probably passing on the eye cream and glitter drops and likely the lipstick too as I don't love the colour on me. It's not that they don't include good products and the sneak peeks always look good, it's just that you don't know that you are going to get them and that makes me want out!
