Five on Saturday - April 11, 2020

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - I'm very excited that it is a long weekend and it was a real treat that I had yesterday off! (Ask me if I regret that choice after Monday with 4 days off in a row stuck in the house with a toddler!)

Five on Saturday - April 11, 2020
Everything in this post was purchased or paid for by me

How could I not get the weekend started with some Easter baking?! The boys and I spent a couple of hours last weekend baking delicious treats for the Easter Bunny! (I know I'm not the only one that's on a baking kick right now - I've always been a baker; but, I've been stepping it up and trying new things since I've had way more time at home!)

We baked Mini Egg Blondies, Easter Bunny Banana Muffins, Chocolate Egg Nest Cookies, and Sugar Cookies with adorable little edible stickers!

The Easter Bunny came a little early to our house this weekend - he stopped by yesterday morning and the boys had so much fun hunting through the house and collecting their chocolate! So cute! It's a little weird that this Easter weekend will be so quiet this year without seeing anyone; but, we will still make a good Ester dinner and make it the best we can!

THREE

I've been sharing a bit on my Five on Friday posts about shopping local, so this week I ordered a wine delivery from Willow Park Wines and Spirits - I picked up a few bottles of Pinot Noir, Rose and Gewurztraminer! I also picked up a few Fruili strawberry beers! Always the best when they can be delivered instead of having to go out to the stores!

Here's a look at the palettes I've been using as my Palette's of the Week for the past couple of weeks! The Natasha Denona Camel Eyeshadow Palette is lovely - you can see it swatched on me here. The shadows are excellent quality; but, the only complaint is that it has two very similar shades in it with slightly different undertones and with only 5 shades, it seems a little wasted. Then, I used the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Palette - this is a pretty solid favourite from last year and I've talked about it a whole bunch on here, but you can see my swatches and looks with it here

The Moschino + Sephora Collection Shopping Bag Mini Palette is a couple of years old in my collection and I actually tend to overlook this one a little bit in my collection - it's quite pretty and the shadow quality is pretty good! You can see it swatched on me here - I love the packaging so much! I just recently featured the Storybook Cosmetics Little Briar Rose Palette and it's pretty, but it's not the highest quality product I've used from Storybook, but it's still workable! You can see my swatches and look with the palette here

Okay, I have to be honest that when I saw the previews for Onward, I didn't think it looked that good; but, we watched it this past week when it was released on Disney+ and it was really great! I actually thought the storyline was really great and it was so cute! I would highly recommend this!

I hope you all have a good, social distancing Easter weekend!

  1. I also want to see Onward! Anything Pixar is always good!
I also have that Moschino palette and it's untouched...maybe it's time to go back and give it a go! Hoppy Easter!

    1. Agree, I love anything Pixar, I was just especially impressed because the previews did not look good! And I always overlook this palette too - that's exactly why I'm cycling through them weekly!
