Suva Beauty Saffron Eyeshadow Palette - 3 Looks, Swatches and Review!

I received this Suva Beauty Saffron Eyeshadow Palette in the February Tribe Beauty Box; and, if I'm being totally honest, it was the main reason I picked up the box because I had been lusting after this palette for months!

Suva Beauty Saffron Eyeshadow Palette
Received this in a subscription box I purchased

Suva Beauty Saffron Palette ~ $44.00 CAN ($35.00 US). A warm tone 9 shade eyeshadow palette with luxurious formulas reminiscent of the world's most desirable spices.

This palette is a gorgeous - it's a spice inspired blend of beautiful shadows! It's a mix of mattes, satins, shimmers and a glitter.

Suva Beauty is a newer Canadian brand - it was created in 2015 by makeup artist Shaina Azad. The brand and products are made to excite and spark inspiration for everyone! The brand is made to reflect the founder and be bold, inventive, imaginative, weird and cheeky!

Coriander ~ champagne shimmer
Saffron ~ rust metallic
Cinnamon ~ red-brown matte
Paprika ~ red matte
Turmeric ~ gold metallic
Ginger ~ cream satin
Star Anise ~ brown glitter
Sarso ~ eggplant metallic
Clove ~ deep brown matte

These shadows are gorgeous - they are warm and lovely. I like the combination of metallics, mattes and a glitter. I thought the mattes were soft - they weren't the most buttery formula ever; but, I always know a matte will work well for me when it applies a little on the light side - the pigmentation can be built up as opposed to going on super pigmented which can be hard to blend. The metallics and shimmers were super smooth and applied well. The only shade I found a little different was Star Anise as it was a little chunkier and thus should be applied with a wet brush or a glitter glue base.

I thought the best part about these eye shadows is that they were really versatile. I found the mattes were easy to build - they could be buffed in and gave a nice light colour and you could build the colour up to what you like. But, they could be easily patted on for a really bold colour. The metallics are best applied with a finger or a wet brush; but, can also have a really nice colour when applied with a brush.

Suva Beauty Saffron Eyeshadow Palette - 3 Looks, Swatches and Review!

This is a simple, every day look using this palette - I applied Ginger as a base shadow, Cinnamon in the crease, Turmeric all over the lid, a little Saffron to the outer corner, and just a pop of Coriander in the inner corner.

This is such a lovely bronzey eye look! I started with Ginger as the base, Cinnamon in the crease. Then I applied Clove and Sarso together in the outer corner and lightly worked through the crease. I applied Saffron to the outer lid and Star Anise to the inner lid, and Coriander to the inner corner and under the brow bone.

And, to show how bold these shadows can go! I started with Ginger as the base, Paprika through the crease - this is built up and patting it on really helps with the boldness showing through. Then I applied a concealer to the lid and the applied Star Anise all over the lid. I added Sarso to the outer lid and lower lash line, with a touch of Turmeric in the inner corner.

Here is a full look with the the lightest shadow look. I've used this palette multiple times, as well as for my palette of the week this week, and I'm really happy with this palette! I really enjoy the versatility of this palette - I have no problem using it for everyday looks, smoky looks, as well as really bold, fun looks! Not every palette offers that, so it's unique for a warm palette in my collection.
