Manicure Monday - Hyacinth Flower Garden Nail Art

Okay, it's the end of May and the flowers in my garden are barely blooming - we are having a very late start this year. So, I'm bringing all the garden blooms on my nails for the last Monday in May!

I've been loving our #CBBxManiMonday May theme of florals - it's basically my favourite theme ever and I always have flowers on my nails!

I've been wanting to do a flower nail art look like this all month - a light blue sky, green grass and beautiful flowers blooming - they reminded me of beautiful multicolour Hyacinths, and I love them!

This OPI base polish in Ring Bare-er is lovely - I tend not to use sheerer polishes; but, sometimes they are perfect for a mani! I also plan on swatching the whole 2019 Bridal collection next Monday so you can see the whole collection this polish comes from!

For this week's nails I used:

For this mani, I started with nail cleanser, base coat, and 3 coats of this base polish - or less if you want a sheerer base! Then, using the green nail art polish I created brush strokes to look like grass on the tip. Then, I added a few long stems coming out of the grass. With a nail dotting tool, I dotted around the stems in different shades, and added a couple of dots in the middle of the stem to give the effect of flowers all over. Then, I finished with a nail art top coat.

I love how this nail art turned out - I really need my garden to bloom! As always, make sure to check out Cosmetic Proof, Prairie Beauty Love, and Tea & Nail Polish to see what they came up with for their floral nails this week!
