February 2019 Monthly Haul - What I Bought

Time for a look at everything I picked up this month - I really love these Monthly Haul posts - they give me a way to share everything I pick up each month as I don't always post about everything I get!

Plus, this year I think they will hold me a little more accountable - I put myself on a  $100 a month budget, not really because I need to; it's actually more to test myself and be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection!

Facebook Find ~ $7.00 CAN. I have raved about the Laneige Lip mask before - it made my Best of 2018 Discoveries, which means it is amazing! This really saved my lips and I had to pick up more! I found this little mini of the Laneige in vanilla and the person I bought it from threw it a few extras, which where Sephora Collection lipsticks and a little Laneige mini!

Tribe Beauty Box ~ $55.18 CAN. I just did a full unboxing if you want to see all the details about the Tribe Beauty subscription - you can check it out here! But, this is $34.99 US + $6.99 shipping to Canada (I had a 10% off code, then the conversion to Canadian). I really wanted to pick up this Suva Beauty Saffron palette, which was $42 CAN itself, so it was lovely to receive all these other products for a little bit more - included products from MaskerAide, Luxie, IBY Beauty and Wander Beauty.

Storybook Subscription - Volume 2 ~ $45.16 CAN. There is no picture to include as I have not received this yet; but, I did pay for it in February so I wanted to include it! I have reviewed Volume 1 of this subscription and it is supposed to come every 2 months. But, Storybook just posted that there is an issue with one of the shadows and they want to fix it, so it will likely ship in March (the theme is Sherlock Holmes if you have any interest!)

Dry Shampoo ~ $2.25 CAN. Yes, you read that right I really only spent $2 on the Garnier Dry Shampoo. This is where the budget guilt kicked in and I knew i was a touch over already for the month; but, I messed up before and picked up a dry conditioner instead of a dry shampoo and I was almost out, so I had to pick up another one! Needless to say, I basically just went with the cheapest option!

Sephora Order ~ $8.40 CAN. Okay, I fought with myself for only a minute before stretching my budget just a touch this month! I finally managed to get something useful in the Sephora Rewards Bazaar - this full sized Charlotte Tilbury lipstick was 600 points (free shipping is on points over 750 points), so I picked the most affordable item on my recent loves list and it was the Sephora Mask that I've really wanted to try!

Okay, so while keeping myself in check, I spent $117.99 for the month - I'm totally fine with this, I feel like even though I went slight over, I was really thoughtful about anything extra I purchased and did really want or need everything this month!

  1. Such a great monthly haul! Lucky you, managed to snag that full sized CT lipstick. By the time I went into the Rewards Bazaar, it was all gone!
I'm curious about the Garnier Dry Shampoo, is it any good? I mean for $2, can't complain much right?

    1. Those full sized products go so fast in the Rewards Bazaar - I'm surprised I got one! The dry shampoo isn't bad - it's not my favorite, but it has very little to no white cast and doesn't make my hair feel textured which I like. I would pick it up again and probably will!

  2. Good thing I don't do these posts cause I kind of went overboard this month, lol! So, um, maybe I should do them, hahaha!
I bought some Laneige Lip Masks too! Just waiting for my order to arrive, I can't wait to try them!

    1. hahaha - last years posts like this were so bad, whoops spend $500, how did that happen?! Lol - I'm just trying to keep myself more accountable, for no other reason than I have a lot of stuff and just want to think through my purchases more!

  3. I saw that Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the points section and I was so impressed since usually it's a wasteland of out of stock options in there. Definitely worth snagging!

    1. Right?! There is usually nothing in the point section - the same stamp set that no one wants forever. Lol, I'm thinking of trying to save my points and try for a gift card, but I don't think I'll ever snag one!
