Is it just me, or is everyone releasing a jelly product right now?! I mean, I will try anything out and I think they all the jelly products look kind of fun!
ColourPop was one of the first to start the jelly trend with these jelly eyeshadows and I was super intrigued to try them!
When ColourPop announced free shipping with no minimum world wide in December, I jumped on the chance to pick one of these up - I usually have to spend $50 before I get free shipping to Canada! So, I only picked up one jelly eyeshadow and one glitter (which I want to review soon!)
ColourPop Jelly Much Shadow in Wide Awake ~ $8.00 US. Delivers intense pigmentation in a single swipe. Zero creasing, zero fallout. Can you handle this?
The colour Wide Awake is a soft yellow gold. This shadow claims to deliver high impact colour with one swipe of the shadow and be long-lasting! It also claims not to crease, fade or transfer and the unique formula will have it dried down to a powder finish with no fallout. Plus, it's claims to do all of this without using a primer or wet brush! Sounds too good to be true?!
Honestly, I was incredibly impressed with this formula - long story short, it lived up to all the claims! It applied so nicely - the jelly texture made it go on super smooth and even and of course, there was no fall out. It dried down very fast and did not crease - and I purposely wore it in my crease to test it out! And it was well pigmented and long wearing - wore it all day with no fading!
This shadow certainly lives up to the "Jelly Much" name - the texture is so cool and really fun! It's like a really thick gelatinous texture and the colour is gorgeous! I love a yellow gold shadow, so I thought it was perfect shade to try out a new formula with!
I'm so surprised at how much this applied like a powder shadow once it was swiped on - it does have beautiful pigmentation and does not stay wet or jelly feeling for long at all on the skin, so it dries down very quickly!
Here is a look at the ColourPop Jelly Much shadow in Wide Awake all over the lid! I did not use a primer on the lid; but, I did apply a lighter base shadow on the lid.
For the eye look, I used the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette for a couple of accompanying shadows - I used Enlighten as a base shadow on the lid, Silk Creme as a transition shade, and Creamsicle through the crease. Then I applied the ColourPop Wide Awake Jelly Much shadow all over the lid - I did apply it with a tighter packed shader brush and then smoothed it out with my finger.
To finish the eye look, I used the Wet n Wild MegaLiner Liquid Eyeliner in Winged and Wild, a deep green liner and the Covergirl Exhibitionist Mascara. And, the brows are the Benefit Precisely My Brow in 4.
I'm very happy with how this shadow applied and wore - it was easy to apply, finished with a gorgeous metallic-esque finish and wore so well. I can't believe this didn't crease on me and it just wore so nicely! I'm very impressed! I will have to try out some different shades in this formula as it's really great to work with!
Other highlights of the look are the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation in 2 Neutral, Morphe Blush in Spirit, and Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick in Lazy Daisy.
Well, I loved that formula - it really makes me excited to try out other jelly products and see if they live up to this! Plus, I've already gone back to the ColourPop website and have a few other shades in mind for my next order!
Have you tried any jelly products yet?

This eye look is so pretty!! I haven't tried a jelly eye shadow yet. I wish I had more time to play with makeup, but that would mean having to wake up earlier and I just can't bring myself to do that right now, lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chantal! I know - I take advantage of nap time all I can right now to play when I get the chance and it's not always often!
DeleteOh it's beautiful! I'm surprised it didn't crease!
ReplyDeleteI was super impressed with the formula and was totally expecting creasing!
DeleteWow it looks great. Like Kristelle I am super surprised no creases occurred.
