Happy Manicure Monday everyone! I'm really excited with how this week's nails turned out! I have been wanting to do Emoji nail art for quite some time and how perfect is it with all the heart and love emojis for the week of Valentine's Day?!
For the whole month of February, the #CBBManiMonday group is focusing on "Red and Pink", so this week is all about the light pink base and the red accents on the emojis!
The emojis I chose to do for this week's nails are the lips, the red heart, the kissy face and the love eyes! I will be honest, these are probably some of my most used emojis in general - not just for Valentine's Day!
The products I used for this week's nails:
-ColorClub yellow nail polish
-ORLY nail polish in Cake Pop
-Bundle Monster/Maniology red nail art polish
-Smackers nail polish in Skellington
-nail art polishes
I started out with a nail cleanser and base polish, then 2 coats of a very light pink base polish. I let that dry well and then painted on the emojis. I used the red nail art polish to freehand the lips and heart. For the emoji faces, I painted a yellow circle and used a thin nail art brush to paint on the red and black accents. Then, for the blushed cheeks, I mixed the red and light pink together and dotted it on the face.
Okay, I love how these turned out - it was exactly what I had in mind! Sometimes, I'm not perfect with freehanded nail art designs; but, these were actually really simple shapes so it took more patience than skill!
For the thumb, I jut dotted on the red and yellow polishes. I think these are perfect for Valentine's week, without being way too lovey dovey!
