Hank and Henry Lip Aesthetic Matte Liquid Lipstick in "Petal Pusher"

These liquid lipsticks from Hank and Henry are brand new and are available tomorrow (October 19) on the brands website! I don't normally have access to products before their launch; but, these lipsticks actually came in some Boxycharm boxes last month!

Hank and Henry is a newer brand to me (and a newer brand in general) - it is created by Hank and Henry, who a youtuber/social media makeup artist. The brands products are all cruelty free and vegan and these lipsticks are paraben and gluten free.

Hank and Henry Beauty is founded on three principles of: personality, artistry and philanthropy. They donate a proceed of their profits to grassroots, non-profit organizations that help people, animals and the planet.

Hank and Henry Lip Aesthetic Liquid Lipstick in "Petal Pusher" ~ $16.00 US. Scented with cake frosting, and enriched with Vitamin E to help keep your lips looking youthful and moisturized. This highly pigmented liquid lipstick dries to a full coverage matte finish but won’t dry your lips.

This formula is meant to be creamy and comfortable, long-wearing, transfer resistant, richly pigmented, light-weight, and non-tacky.

Can I start by talking about how cute the packaging is?! Maybe that's not something everyone cares about; but, it's so pleasing to look at and it's really the first thing you notice glancing at a package. It is clear and looks like a little bullet lipstick, and then surprise - it's a liquid lipstick! And, it does smell really good - I like a sweet scented lipstick and it wasn't overwhelming.

My own thought with the packaging is the applicator is quite thick and doesn't come to as slim of a point as I would generally like to have a really precise edge around my lips - I rarely apply a lip liner, so I like to line my lips first and then fill them in with a liquid lipstick.

Now, we can talk about the formula! It was delightful - it really is a comfortable liquid lipstick to wear. It dries down matte but doesn't feel tight or drying on the lips and really can be worn for hours without worrying about transferring or fading. It also went on nice and opaque in one go.

I will say, I didn't find it full non-tacky though, I thought it left a slight hint of tackiness - which, I don't mind. It was just enough to remind you that you were wearing a lipstick. I found after it dried down it had the tiniest bit of transfer on to the back of my hand about 10 minutes after application. Overall, I thought it was a really good formula.

The shade Petal Pusher is basically my go-to deep rosey shade. I would call it a deeper version of a "my-lips-but-better" shade. It is a gorgeous shade that I will reach for frequently. I found it to be very flattering to my skintone and can see it working well for many people!
