Five on Saturday - October 6, 2018

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all had a good week! Can you believe it is the first week of October?! So crazy! And, Calgary got slammed with a huge snowfall this week - it made for long drives to and from work earlier this week! 

Also, I was really looking forward to October finally slowing down in terms of life obligations and then all of the sudden, boom - it's insanely busy for the whole rest of the month! Anyways, I'm happy it's a long weekend this weekend! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone! 

ONE 

Time for another Topbox circle! My latest one is the Nivea Nourishing Care Cream and I received a couple little sample pods for the box. These are actually a cute little size to carry around somewhere and the lotion itself was good!

And, funnily enough, I basically sign up for any beauty freebies that I see and it turns out that I got another Nivea sample! Good thing I like the lotion! And then, look at how big this L'Oreal Makeup Remover is! This was a free sample and it's such a good size!

Alright Calgarians, if you haven't been to Euphoria Cafe, it's totally worth checking out! It's a cute little (slightly hipster) coffee shop and I had the most delicious Caramel Apple Cider! Plus, they have Filigree Pastries macarons that are my favorite! 

FOUR 

Am I too late to talk about Big Brother ending and Survivor starting?! I hadn't watched them in time last week! So, Big Brother - did anyone expect Kaycee to win over Tyler?! I mean good for her; but, I was surprised! 

Also, what do you think of the new Survivor season? I like the new season; but, I think every year people are turning in to bigger characters so they can be a little much sometimes. I think the new theme and so far so good for me!

FIVE

Last week's Palette of the Week was ColourPop's You Had Me At Hello - it's a nice neutral palette that leans pinky purple. Overall, I liked this palette. ColourPop's shadow formula is really nice and easy to work with and the shimmers are so pretty! I really like this one. 

I hope you all have a great weekend! I'm actually not doing Thanksgiving this weekend - all of my family is out of town and my husband works, so we aren't celebrating until next weekend! But, I'm looking forward to an extra day off on Monday!
