August 2015 Empties!

Time for another Monthly Empties!! (I loved watching empties videos & reading blog posts - so I am jumping on the empties bandwagon - this is my 4th month and I have been lo!)

(Also, just as a note I will only be showing empties of make-up, skincare, body and hair products - the rest you don't need to see! I won't be showing any sheet masks here either because I review my whole Month in Masks in a separate post, but I will include masks in packages that I have finished!)

Let's get right in:

Lush Fresh Face Mask "Catastrophe Cosmetic" ~ $9.95. A cooling, calming, deep cleansing blueberry mask for sore and troubled skin.
This mask is amazing - I have featured it before on a Wine + Mask Wednesday and you can check out the full review here. This mask is made with blueberries and smells soooo good! I love using this! It dries quite quickly, but does take a few rinses to remove entirely. These masks are made with fresh ingredients so it does need to be used up within a month! I repurchase this every few months.

Suki Skincare - Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser ~ sample size 30 ml for $10.95. “I formulate my award-winning facial exfoliate because the products out there lack any real exfoliate & rejuvenating value(!) &, to solve my skin problems. my multifunctional solution, is not just for those suffering with skin problems, but for anyone seeking amazingly smooth, soft skin with immediate benefits. & bonus, my signature aroma blend speaks for itself!“

I really loved this when I first got it in a Luxe Box, but it dried up before I could finish using it all, so I wasn't impressed with that. The best before date said some time in 2016 so that makes me think if I bought a full size I would not be able to use it all. (I would not repurchase because of that even though I liked it)

Bare Box Organic Facial Cleanser A face cleanser without harsh chemicals is finally here. Your new organic facial cleanser uses only the highest quality ingredients to nourish your skin. This facial cleanser will remove make up and dirt, exfoliate and moisturize your skin, and prevent future break outs.

This was the second formulation of the Bare Box cleanser and I have to say I quite liked it! I stopped getting Bare Box because they were harassing people on instagram and I just wasn't a fan of their tactics; however, I have to say that their products work very well. This was gentle and worked!

Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Mask Pods ~ $10. A limited-edition set of four one-time use pods featuring the luxurious nighttime mask to quench skin’s thirst.

I was worried when I first got these that there would not be very much product in the pods - I was wrong! This had plenty of product in it and lasted me 3 nights with a little extra! I still have a few more pods to go through!

Lush Skin's Shangri La Moisturizer ~ sample size (full size is $49.95). Skin’s Shangri-La is our heaviest moisturizer for everyone who considers their skin ‘mature’. Rejuvenate with jojoba oil, soothing aloe vera extract and our (not so) secret ingredient; Queen of Hungary water. Queen of Hungary water is a mixture of water, vodka and rosemary known to tighten and firm fine lines. With 27 shots of vodka in every batch of Skin’s Shangri-La, it hardly seems like the mature choice-but trust us and treat your skin to our nutrient rich mixture.

I just got a small sample of this when I was in Lush and I quite like it - but I think it's weird that vodka is one of the main ingredients in it! I think I need to try another sample before I really make up my mind on this one...

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator ~ sample size 20g for $5.66 (full size is 120g for $34). Powerful scrub brightens, exfoliates and cleanses gently with instant results for soft, smooth and radiant skin – enriched with papaya, professional microcrystals and aloe.

I received this product in a Birchbox (and a past Luxe Box as well). This is a "face rejuvenator" however, I found this scrub a little too harsh to use on my face. I used it as a body exfoliant instead and I really liked it. Despite the fact that I liked it, I would not repurchase this product because it is too expensive for what I like to spend on an exfoliant!

Hey Honey Take It Off Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask - $35 US for full size 50ml - sample size $7 for 10ml. Moisturizes with luxurious Honey extract. Brightens and smooths skin with the exfoliating power of Alpha Hydroxy Acids. Non-irritating- this mask is on your skin longer than a typical AHA cleanser, therefore theconcentration of AHAs can be lower making it less irritating, but just as effective.

I got this mask in an Ipsy bag from 2014 and I love all masks! Peel off masks are fun too! I quite liked this mask and thought it peeled off well and was easy to use! I would consider repurchasing this (when I get through some of my mask collection!

Gillette SatinCare Sensitive Skin with Aloe VeraShave Gel ~ $4.99. Gillette SatinCare Sensitive Skin Formula shave gel, with Aloe Vera, is specially designed for sensitive skin. This lightly fragranced gel with advanced lubricants provides incredible razor glide for protection against nicks and cuts.

I didn't receive this in any box, but I include my bath and body products in my empties posts! This is my typical shave gel - nothing special but I like the sensitive skin formula. (I usually just pick what is on sale at the store!).

Moon Rocks Bath Fizzies ~ $7.50. Sprinkle these fun rocks into your tub and enjoy the scent and foam.

These are from Bath Time Box and were a mix between a bath bomb and a bath salt! I really liked them and the package lasted quite a few baths! They were great (and smelled good!)

Holika Holika Pig-nose Clear Black Head 3-Step Kit ~ $3.50. This is a 3-steps kit perfect for pore control.   The first step opens your pores which allow for removing blackheads easily.  The second step removes blackheads.  The third step to minimize pores.

I received this in a Mask Genie pouch and it was quite a time consuming 3 step back head remover. I actually quite liked all the steps, but the only thing I found weird was that Step 2 (which actually removes the black heads) was a lot smaller than the other 2 steps! I would not repurchase as I don't usually have 45 minutes to remove blackheads!

Bath Time Box - Lemon Poppyseed Soap ~ $7.50. Our Goat's Milk soap with a sprinkling of exfoliating poppyseeds and scented with a decadent Lemon Cake fragrance.

I bought this soap in a Bath Time Box store purchase and cannot stop raving about it!!! It smells so good!! And the little poppyseeds inside add a nice exfoliating factor to the soap! This actually made my July Favorites it was so good!

Absolute New York Lip Balm "Bubblegum" ~ $2.50 (2 for $5). There's so many reasons to cheer for this party-ready balm! Major moisture? Check! Sweet scent? Check! A tiny amount of tint? Check! Cute in your clutch? Check!

I received this in a past Beauty Box 5 and thought I would like the light tint in it - I was wrong. This lip balm was almost chalky and the tint was this awful light pink, blah. I usually try and save lip balms that aren't my favorite to use before bed and I couldn't even do that - this isn't empty but I am getting rid of it. Not a repurchase at all.

Recipe by Nature Ice Cream Swing Gloss ~ $5. A lip essence gloss that melts on to lips like ice cream and leaves it moist and supple.

I received this in a Memebox and absolutely love the packaging! However, this lipgloss inside was so thick and sticky I could not even use it at all. Again, not empty but un-usable - not a repurchase at all.

Absolute You're The Balm in "Grape" ~ $$2.50 (2 for $5). Treat your lips with the ultra-moisturizing You're The Balm lip duo from Absolute New York. Lightly tinted and sweetly flavored, this luscious formula softens, smoothens, and protects lips for a seriously kissable pout. Discover this must-have duo for sensationally soft lips!

I received this in a past Ipsy bag and thought that I would like it - the formula of this type is actually very soft and soothing. However, it has the biggest chunks of glitter I have ever seen in a lipgloss - too much to wear out. I tried just wearing this to bed and woke up with glitter everywhere (and I usually don't mind a little glitter!). I had to stop using this one as well - no repurchase from me!

Lemon Sorbet Nourishing Lip Balm ~ $5. We know how much you love our lip balms and we couldn't help ourselves this month, so we included this new flavor to pair with our new lip sugar scrub! Apply our lip balm, following your sugar scrub treatment for softer, sweeter lips!

I received this in a Rainbow Honey mystery bag and looooved it! It smelled amazing and was so soft and hydrating - probably one of my favorite lip gloss formulas ever! It actually lasted quite a while too. I have been meaning to repurchase this from Rainbow Honey (I may try a new scent), but shipping is a little expensive so I am waiting to find a few more things to purchase!

Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil ~ $4.89. Bring your lips back to beautiful. This replenishing and hydrating natural lip balm is infused with the antioxidant goodness of pomegranate oil. It replenishes moisture to reveal smooth, healthy-looking lips, while it coats them with a hint of colour for an even-toned appearance.

This is 100% my favorite lip balm EVER!!! ahhh so good!!! So it's not pictured because I started using it this month and then boom, disappeared! I was so sad, I need to buy another before I go on my honeymoon ASAP!

Altogether in August, I used (or tossed) a total of 16 products! This is not as much as I have gone through in the last few months, but I was a little pre-occupied at the end of the month and didn't make a huge effort to get rid of some almost empty products!!!
