I had a few serious hits right at the start of the month and I've been seriously loving the skincare products that I've been trying this month! There was also a couple of great Summer makeup products too!
Here's a closer look at the products I've been loving this month:
Tarte Sea Quench Lip Rescue Balm in Nude ~ deluxe size (full size is $26.00 CAN). Soothing, hydrating lip balm with a sheer tint.
This was a deluxe sample that has been sitting in my collection for quite some time and I finally pulled it out. I actually pulled it out for my Project Pan and I've really liked it. It's a super soft formula that leave a glossy balm texture that left just a really light tint on the lips and my lips soft!
Catrice Sungasm Face & Body Highlighter ~ $11.99 CAN. Bring on the glow! Glow from head to toe with the Catrice SUNGASM Face & Body Highlighter. This jumbo sized, silky soft powder is made with light reflecting pigments to give you that flawless, radiant looking summer skin all year round.
This is a gorgeous highlighter - you can see it swatched and in a look on me here when I tried out the Catrice Summer makeup! I was actually a little worried that this would be a little too dark for me but it brightens up and looks bright and glowy. It's a really shimmery finish but not glittery and it's huge! The formula wore really well and it applies easy - just super nice and pretty on!
XO Treatment Room Pineapple Exfoliating Gel ~ $83.00 CAN. This leave-on exfoliating serum channels the power of the pineapple, rich in naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids. Apply to clean, dry skin and let rest for five minutes, allowing the skin time to exfoliate and increase the rate of cell renewal. When this step is complete do not rinse, your skin is prepped and ready to deeply absorb the remaining products in your skin care routine, maximizing their benefits and leaving you with bright, juicy skin.
I recently wrote a rave review about this XO Treatment Room Pineapple Gel so it should come as no surprise that I loved this exfoliating gel this month! It is a leave on exfoliator and it's very gentle on the face so it leaves the skin bright and refreshed but it isn't harsh at all! This has a ph of 4 and uses fruit AHAs to freshen up the skin! It's left my face lovely and I've been using it a couple of times a week!
Pure Aura Karma Glitter Hologram Foil Sheet Mask ~ $7.79 CAN. A fun holographic foil mask to soothe and hydrate your skin. This duo layered mask has activated charcoal on one side and foil on the another to help keep moisture from evaporating. Enjoy a spa treatment at the comfort of your own home!
This mask is a foil mask - this outer layer is meant to help keep the essence on the skin and I find it really helps the product absorb in to the skin. The back side of the mask is charcoal based so it's meant to be detoxifying, remove excess oil and draw out impurities from the skin while leaving the face clean and hydrated! This adhered and wore really well. My skin looked and felt so good after using this mask - I loved the combination of charcoal and the foil mask because it refreshed my skin and left it super hydrated too!
Lush Beauty Sleep Face and Body Mask ~ $16.95 CAN for 4.4 oz or $33.95 CAN for 11.1 oz. Run a warm bath, put on some relaxing music, apply this beautiful face mask to clean skin. Sit back and relax. Inhale the neroli and let the valerian and lemon verbena get to work. Don’t drown.
So right now this product was only a Lush Kitchen Box exclusive - it came in the June 2020 Box (and honestly, I hunted it down on ebay to try it and it was so worth it!) But, rumors have it, the mask is soooo good that they are going to make it a permanent product - fingers crossed! This face mask is sort of a combination of the Sleepy ingredients (lavender, ylang ylang and tonka) with a spoonful of gorgeous moisturizer.
The Beauty Sleep goes on easy and you can wear it for longer than some of the Lush "fresh" face mask formulas because it doesn't dry down as fast, so I've worn it for about 30 minutes, and it is a very gentle exfoliator with some light coffee (you can smell it as you rinse it off) - it rinses off fairly easy and does have that nice sleepy scent as you wear it!
What products have you been loving this month?!
Great favorites! That Lush mask looks awesome - the color reminds me of a smoothie bowl haha. Thanks for sharing!
