August 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

I set one of my 2020 goals to be actually sticking to my $100 a month Beauty Budget - and I've been stressing out trying to stick to it. Evidently I am not a "budget" type and I don't want to get myself worked up over it. One of the reasons I wanted to stick to a budget was so that I'm a little more conscious about my purchases and just make sure it's makeup that I will really like and I want to make sure that I can use and enjoy the products I have in my collection and that I will really use the products I picked up! 

I always love my Monthly Haul posts to share with you everything I picked up (since I can't review everything I buy)!

XO Treatment Room ~ $87.15 CAN. This was my first time trying out XO Treatment Room skincare and I cannot wait to try more - spoiler alert, this was worth every penny I spent on this! It is a leave on pineapple exfoliator and it's so gentle yet effective! You can see a full review of this product here! 

Cheekbone Beauty ~ $59.85 CAN. I picked up one of the new Face Palettes from Cheekbone Beauty - I got the Stardust Shimmer palette and I cannot wait to try this out and it will be up for review as soon as I do! This is a Canadian indigenous women owned brand and they are also focusing on sustainability and refillable packaging! 

Biore Sunscreens ~ $36.95 CAN. These are my favourite sunscreens - I have a few face sunscreens on the go right now, so I picked these up as back ups! This is a really easy to wear, gel formula and it's so good on the face! 

Lush Beauty Sleep Mask ~ $47.36 CAN. This was an ebay find and I'm so happy I got this (even though I paid enough for it!) This was only available in the June Lush Kitchen subscription box (which I skipped) and I was so sad I missed it, so I had to pick it up! It's such a lovely mask and it smells great! I don't think I will do a full review of this because it isn't available, but it is going to pop up in a post soon! 

Amethyst Roller ~ $39.20 CAN. I was in a gem shop in Invermere and I couldn't resist this roller! I have a little jade roller, but these are huge and this one was too lovely to pass up! These are so nice to cool and use nightly! 

The Body Shop Banana Hair Products ~ $16.80 CAN. I stopped by the Body Shop store in Banff and I couldn't resist picking these up - these are some of my favourite shampoo and conditioner and I tried out a different brand that's not working well for me right now, so I picked up some replacements. 

September Scratch Monthly Mani Kit ~ $20.24 CAN. This was the 50th set of wraps by NinaNailedIt and Scratch and always love to subscribe when they have floral wraps! These ones are so gorgeous! 

So, I spent $307.55 - thank goodness I don't have to go through months ahead and try and figure out how to balance the budget down the road. I don't think I've purchased anything unreasonable this month, so I'm not feeling guilty about this month's spending!
