For the month of June, the #CBBxManiMonday group decided to try something new for our theme and went with a Nail Art Roulette style of picking our themes! As a group, we picked 5 colour ideas - sunset, rainbow, pink, black & white, and neon and 5 themes - gradient, packaging inspired, matte, texture and minimalist. Then, we are each randomly picking numbers to create totally random pairings! And, what's really fun is we don't know what everyone else picked each week, so it's a surprise!
For this week I picked Pink and Packaging, so I was inspired by the bubble packaging of the Maskeraide Bubble Bubble Pop mask (I actually attempted the bubble nail technique; but, it did not work with regular polish at all) and so I went with a dotticure inspired by the bubbles on the mask packaging!
For this week's mani I used:
- OPI Infinite Shine Primer
- ORLY Instant Artist polish in White
- Bio Sculpture Polish in Berry Medley
- Bio Sculpture Polish in Shimmering Joy
- Bio Sculpture Ethos Mirror Top Coat
- nail dotting tool
For this look I started with a base coat and two coats of the bright pink as the base polish. Then I used the dotting tool and applied big and little dots (I like the look of them concentrated at the top of my nails), then I added a little dot of white polish to the top corner to some of the bubbles.
And, since I was inspired with the bubble look of the Maskeraide Bubble Bubble Pop mask, I thought that I would try and review the mask today too!
Maskeraide Bubble Bubble Pop Pore Cleansing Charcoal Bubble Mask ~ $7.00 CAN. Want the bubbly truth? We all need a pore-deep cleanse every once in awhile, so why not do it in a fun bubbly way!
This is a cleansing mask and I think bubbling masks are so much fun! I always hear amazing things about Maskeraide and have only tried one or two of their masks before, so I need to try more! (They are also a Canadian brand!)
For this mask, start with a clean face and rub the mask package for a few seconds to activate the mask. Then take out the mask, apply to face and wear for 5 - 10 minutes while it bubbles up. Remove mask, massage remaining essence in to skin for extra cleansing and then rinse it off and complete your skincare routine.
I loved wearing this - bubble masks are so much fun! This one bubbled up so well and even after 10 minutes the bubbles were still big! The essence also lathered really well and it rinsed off well after. I thought this left my skin nice and deep-cleaned and refreshed. My skin didn't feel tight or anything after and it looked brighter and was softer the next morning!
Have you guys tried a mask like this?! And as always, make sure you check out Cosmetic Proof and Prairie Beauty Love to see which nail combinations they picked!
