Physicians Formula The Perfect Matcha 3-in-1 Melting Cleansing Balm

I was slow getting on the cleansing balm train - I've been on board with the 2-step cleansing system for years now; but, I have typically used an oil cleanser as my first cleanse instead of a balm. (I think I've tried a couple sample sizes, but nothing consistently!)

Back in the Summer, the Canadian Beauty Bloggers group was featuring Physicians Formula as their brand of the month and I had never actually tried the brand before! So I picked up one skincare and one makeup product from the brand and spoiler alert - I loved them both! It actually got me really excited to try the brand!

So, spoiler alert - I featured this in my September 2019 Monthly Favourites and I also picked up the Petal Glow powder and it was so good, it actually made my Favourite Makeup Discoveries of 2019. Anyways, it just has me excited about the brand and some of their new releases look good, so I have a feeling that I will be trying a lot more of the brand soon!

Physicians Formula The Perfect Matcha 3-in-1 Melting Cleansing Balm ~ $16.99 CAN. A gentle 3-in-1 cleansing balm that melts away makeup, deeply cleans away impurities and leaves the skin fully supple and hydrated.

I've been on team oil cleanse for a while; but, I was excited to give this a try - I have been intrigued about the balm cleansing formula for a while. Basically, it's a balm formula and as soon as it applied to the skin, it melts in to a liquidy cleanser.

To apply this, you basically use the spatula and scoop a small amount on the face, massage in and rinse off with warm water or a damp face cloth.

I personally scoop a little bit on to my fingers and warm it up in my fingers before applying - then I massage it in to the face (just a dry face), and instead of rinsing off with just makeup, I rinse, then I follow up with a cream or foam cleanser to make sure everything is rinsed off!

I really liked this formula and thought that it was really effective - it melted down quickly and it was effective at breaking down all my makeup (including eye makeup) and it was gentle! I thought it was more effective at removing my makeup and as a first cleanser than the oil cleansers that I have been using! I have to say that I'm already finished pot #2 of this and I will for sure be buying another backup, so that shows how much I like it!

I also really like that it is accessible and can be easily found at the drugstore - plus, I've caught it on a good sale and picked it up for under $9, so if you are interested then keep an eye out for sales on the brand!

    1. I really liked this one! And, a good price too - the other ones I've tried samples of are way more pricey!
