ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

I was super excited when ColourPop announced their Disney Designer collection! I want to be a Disney princess when I grow up, so I pretty much had to have this collection!

Also, I requested that my husband buy me this collection for my birthday, and since I turn 32 today, I figured I should review my birthday gift!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

The Disney Designer collection are the Princesses reimagined in the attire for the red carpet for their movie premieres in the year their movies were released - Tiana in 2009, Ariel in 1989, Belle in 1991, Jasmine in 1992, Snow White in 1937, and Cinderella in 1950. They all look so gorgeous and the packaging is stunning! The Designer collection is a bigger collection from Disney and includes dolls and accessories of all these princesses!

I picked up the collection from ColourPop on the first release, and I was able to pick up everything in the collection, except the 2 Super Shock Highlighters - those sold out immediately! So, I am swatching, trying on and reviewing the Shadow Palette, the Super Shock Shadows, the Creme Lux Lipsticks, and Ultra Glossy Lips.

The product that I was most excited about trying was the "It's a Princess Thing" eyeshadow palette! The packaging includes a gold box with the princesses autographs (from them walking the red carpet at their premieres)! And, the shadow palette has the princesses all lined up on the front and it is gorgeous!

ColourPop Disney Designer "It's a Princess Thing" Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ~ $20.00 US. Get red carpet ready with the pièces de résistance of the collection, our first 15 pan shadow palette inspired by the iconic Disney princesses. These soft romantic shadows will add a touch of glam to any look to make you photo ready.

The palette contains mattes, metallics, and satins - I like ColourPop eyeshadow formula, so I know that this should be a good palette!

The palette is a very pink and nudey with a few purples in there. I happen to like this palette for everyday wear - for me, my work looks are always neutrals and i can easily pull any day to day look together with this! It has lots of light transitions shades, medium shades to build and lots of shimmer for the lid! It can certainly be deepend up too. I think it's really pretty!

Chip ~ matte soft beige nude
Juju ~ matte warm rosy pink
Grumpy ~ matte dusty salmon
Triton ~ sand with a golden sheen
Abu ~ matte intense warm brown
Prince Charming ~ ivory pearl with a green duochrome
Ray ~ metallic champagne
Fairy Godmother ~ metallic bright coral
One Kiss? ~ metallic bright coppery gold
Thingamabob ~ vibrant metallic silver

Enchanted Rose ~ rich metallic rose

Poison Apple ~ metallic pinky violet

Magic Carpet ~ blackened plum

Beast ~ deep warm brown topped with gold glitter

Midnight Curfew ~ black sprinkled with silver glitter

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

Here is an eye look I created using the It's a Princess Thing shadow palette ~ I used Chip all over the lid as a base, Grumpy and Triton together in the crease, Abu to deepen the outer corner. Then I applied Enchanted Rose all over the lid, Magic Carpet in the outer corner, and a hint of One Kiss?in the middle of the lid. Then, I added Ray in the in inner corner, Prince Charming under the brow, with Beast and Fairy Godmother on the lower lash line.

I thought the shadows performed well - they all blended nicely and applied really nicely. There was good pigmentation, and the shadows lasted well too. The mattes were a little powdery with a little kick up, but I liked the application. The shimmers had such good pigmentation and they applied very nicely!

ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip ~ $6.00 US each. Enriched with jojoba oil to moisturize, nourish, and and provide a cushiony feel for juicy, fuller-looking lips.

These ultra glossy lips are so cute - Bibbidi, Bobbidi, and Boo! Bibbidi is a clear shimmery gloss, while Bobbidi and Boo are a high shine formula with no shimmer it. I've never actually tried the ColourPop gloss formula, so I was excited to try these!

BibbidiThis clear gloss with a golden sheen will transform any look
Bobbidi Your wish has been granted in this soft coral
BooThis warm rose will make your dreams come true

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

This is "Bibbidi" Ultra Glossy Lip on, with the eye look from the It's a Princess Thing palette.

This is "Bobbidi" Ultra Glossy Lip on, it's a beautiful sheer hint of colour. I love this shade!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

This is "Boo" Ultra Glossy Lip on - it's much pinker than I normally go for in a lip gloss, but it's pretty!

The glosses are a really nice formula - smooth and not tacky. I prefer Bobbidi and Boo with the sheer wash of colour and no shimmer. They just look so nice on!

ColourPop Disney Designer Super Shock Shadows ~ $6.00 each. Our revolutionary creme-powder eyeshadow, famous for its unique bouncy texture, delivers bold colour in one swipe without creasing, fading or fallout.

I used to love the Super Shock shadow formula - I haven't reached for mine in a while; but, at least the metallics are always a perfect lid shade! Each colour in the set of 6 corresponds to one of the Disney princesses featured in the designer collection.

Almost ThereThere ain’t nothing gonna stop you now in this deep bronze drenched with silver glitter!
Be Our Guest ~ If you’re stressed it’s this berry pink with a blue and violet sheen that we suggest!
Under The Sea ~ Darling it’s better in this bright seafoam green with a golden sheen.
Heigh-Ho ~ You’ll be diggin’ this ivory pearl sprinkled with multi-dimensional glitter.
A Whole New WorldThis icy lavender with pink, silver, and baby blue glitter is shining, shimmering, splendid!
So This Is Love ~ This soft pink with a frosted finish is what makes life divine.

These are all so pretty! They are all good quality shadows and wear well - the formula is a creamy shadow formula so it may not be for everyone (like I said, I often forget to reach for them, but I do like them!). I will have makeup looks further in this post with their Disney princess lipsticks!

ColourPop Disney Designer Creme Lux Lipsticks ~ $6.00 US each. LUX it up. Enriched with our LUX Blend of hydrating butters, this creamy-matte, long wearing lipstick glides on the lips for intense pigmentation in shades made for every skin tone.

The ColourPop lipsticks are new to me as well - I've actually purchased 2 before; but, I still haven't tried them yet! Again, each lipstick corresponds with a princess and they are named after them! There seems to be a good range of shades with all the princesses.

My only thought is the packaging - they are all gold with all the signatures on all of them, so they look the exact same. I wish there was something on each lipstick to show which princess they belong to, without having to look at the bottom of the package.

TianaThere’s no denying, this deep oxblood red will make you feel like Evangeline.
ArielComplete your collection with this peachy beige nude.
BelleThis enchanted rosy berry will give you so much more than this provincial life!
JasmineThis vibrant hot pink will show you a whole new world.
Snow White This candy apple red will have you ready for true love’s kiss.
CinderellaTime’s running out! This true blue pink is only here ‘til midnight.

I really liked the lipstick formula - I thought they wore well. I wore a couple of them for a long time and they surprisingly lasted for hours and wore well! They didn't come off on everything right away, and wore away nicely after a few hours. They were also really comfortable on the lips!

Here are each Creme Lux Lipsticks and their matching princess Super Shock Shadow on - each look will have the shadow on the lower lash line!

The Jasmine look features a bright pink lipstick, and a purple super shock shadow!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

Jasmine is a fair bit brighter of a pink lipstick, than I would normally reach for; but, it's a really pretty pink! The A Whole New World shadow is pretty and a little on the sheer side - it had to be built up to see on me here!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

Snow White is a really true red, and the shadow is a nice icy shade!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

So, for convenience sake, I left my base makeup the same for all of these looks - unfortunately, this blush is not matching my look at all. This is actually a stunning red lip colour - I love it! It's not a normal shade for me, but I feel like I have to wear it more! The Heigh-Ho shadow is really pretty too!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

Tiana is a really deep oxblood red and the shadow is a beautiful metallic brown!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

Alright, again the blush doesn't match and I don't really think this lipstick is for me! It's a pretty deep shade and not something I would tend to reach for! Also, this shadow Almost There would be perfect all over the lid - not the best only under the eye!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

Belle are the shades that seem the most me - a beautiful rosy lipstick and a pretty pink shadow!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

I love this lipstick so much - it is perfect for me! I think it matches my skin tone well and it's just a beautiful shade! Also, I actually quite like this pink Be Our Guest shadow on the lower lash line!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

The Ariel shades seems right up my alley too - the peachy nude lipstick is so pretty, and the pictures do not do this shadow justice! It's stunning!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

I really like both of these products - again, my base blush needs to be peachy to match; but, overall these 2 are great! Under The Sea surprised me with how green it was - but it's a really unique shade!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

I did think the Cinderella lipstick may be too pink; but, this So This Is Love shadow is my favorite shadow of the whole collection - this will be amazing on the lid!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

I thought this pink was much more wearable than I thought it would be! Both of these shades were really pretty!

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection - Swatches, Try On, and Review!

I think I've shared as much as I can about this collection - overall, I'm very happy with all the products in this collection! I think it's beautiful and I love Disney Princesses so I think this is just a great collection!

What do you guys think of the ColourPop Disney Designer collection?
