Natural, Organic, Vegan (and Mostly Canadian) Shampoos and Conditioners!

I have complained about my hair type on here before - it is both thin and fine, which is not the greatest combination. I run in to the problem that a lot of shampoos and conditioners just don't work well for me, so I'm always on the hunt for a set that works for my hair!

Natural, Organic, Vegan (and Mostly Canadian) Shampoos and Conditioners!

I've tested out quite a few different haircare brands lately and the best part is they are mostly Canadian and are all some form of vegan, natural, organic and cruelty free!

I thought I'd share my thoughts on the few brands that I've tried and how they work for my particular hair type!

Graydon Haircare

Graydon All Over Soap + Shampoo ~ $26.51 CAN full size (sample shown). Cleanse your body, face and hair with our best-selling All Over Soap. A non-toxic natural soap for sensitive skin and for those who are looking to simplify their beauty routine. It’s uplifting scent of citrus, spice, and mint helps relax and invigorate your senses while providing a deep clean without stripping your skin of moisture.

Graydon Hair Smoothie ~ $33.14 CAN full size (sample shown). This thick blend of green goodness contains herbs like parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme to stimulate the scalp and reduce dandruff. Besides a plethora of vitamins and minerals, sage is known for its anti-septic, astringent qualities which assist the scalp in regulating sebum production, and cleansing clogged hair follicles.

I've talked about Graydon a fair bit on here lately, and I'm a big fan! Graydon's products are Canadian, natural, and leaping bunny certified. They also source all their ingredients from Canada and really focus on plant powered ingredients.

And spoiler alert, the Hair Smoothie made my August Favorites! There is something about this conditioner that just works for my hair. It's very earthy and natural smelling - very aromatic. I really think it's great for my hair type. And this All Over Soap worked well for my hair; but, I've tried the Graydon Matcha Mint Shampoo and it is hands down the best shampoo - I loved it!

I have full intentions of repurchasing the Matcha Mint Shampoo and Hair Smoothie! And, if you are looking for a brand that really embraces the healthy plant-based lifestyle, I would highly recommend checking out Graydon! Also, Graydon is available on Well.ca, their website and lots of little places that focus on Canadian, natural products (we have them at Oak + Tonic in Calgary).

Phillip Adam Apple Cider Vinegar Apple Haircare

Phillip Adam Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo ~ $15.99 CAN full size (travel size shown). Get all the benefits of apple cider vinegar for hair with Phillip Adam Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo. Our all-natural based shampoo balances the ph level of your scalp, keeps it healthy over time and makes your hair squeaky clean and shiny. Perfect for everyday use, it can be used on all types of hair, colored or virgin. Beautifully scented shampoo formula, free of any harsh ingredients and safe for all ages.

Phillip Adam Apple Cider Vinegar Conditioner ~ $15.99 CAN full size (travel size shown). This finishing rinse is a perfect complement to the Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo. It has a fresh apple scent, controls static electricity in the hair, maintains the ph balance, and gently detangles, making it an excellent product for fine to normal hair types.

Phillip Adam is a new brand to me - their products are Canadian, natural, vegan and gluten-free. They have a large range of haircare and body products! I absolutely love the apple scent - so refreshing in the hair and I thought it was a lasting scent!

I enjoyed both the shampoo and conditioner - I thought they worked well for my hair. If a shampoo and conditioner don't work for me, my hair will be greasy and flat the next day. This was great for day one and two hair without dry shampoo (this means it's really good for fine thin hair!) I only needed dry shampoo on day three, which was impressive!

This set really surprised and it has intrigued me to the brand! I think this would work well for a variety of hair types - but, if you have thin or fine hair, I think you may like this line! Phillip Adam is available on their website and well.ca!

Boo Bamboo Strengthening Haircare

Boo Bamboo Strengthening Shampoo ~ $9.99 CAN full size (sample size shown). Say goodbye to dry brittle hair! This bamboo extract enriched formula drenches your hair with organic proteins and silica to help strengthen your hair and create brilliant shine. It gently cleanses without stripping away your colour, leaving you with incredibly soft healthier looking hair.

Boo Bamboo Strengthen & Shine Conditioner ~ $9.99 CAN full size (sample size shown). Get ready to experience noticeably stronger, healthier looking hair with incredible shine.   Rich in mineral and organic proteins this bamboo extract infused formula restores your dry brittle hair to silky smoothness with incredible strength, vitality and shine.  Provides the most moisture you can get in a daily conditioner, giving you unparalleled salon quality results.

I have tried quite a few Boo Bamboo products and have generally been impressed with what I've tried from the brand! They are also Canadian, vegan and natural products - and, also I should mention, very affordable! This is certainly a line to try if you prefer this price point!

Now, I liked the shampoo and conditioner - I thought they made my hair really soft and clean! For me though, if you have fine hair, you know sometimes that a product can't be too softening for your hair. This might sound weird; but, super soft hair tangles like crazy when it is really fine. I found that this was almost too soft for my hair! If you had medium to thick hair, I think you would love this line!

Boo Bamboo is also very easy to find - I've seen it at a lot of drug stores and on well.ca as well!

Giovanni Tea Tree Haircare

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo ~ $15.79 CAN full size (travel size shown). Shampoo should clean hair and really good shampoo should make you tingle from head to toe. With Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating Shampoo, the ingredients wash in rejuvenation while washing away the previous day. You're left with something rich, something clean!

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner ~ $15.79 CAN full size (travel size shown). You expect a conditioner to moisturize, smooth and detangle. You expect it to create a silky, sexy feel. You probably don’t expect it to make you tingle all over. With Tea Tree Triple Treat Conditioner, an incredible plethora of stimulating ingredients provide all of that plus a real treat for hair: excitement. Who knew that conditioning could be so top of mind?

Giovanni is only brand that isn't Canadian - they are an American company! They are also organic, natural and vegan and I've actually tried a different line of their shampoo and conditioner before and really liked it!

Personally, I thought this line of shampoo and conditioner was super deep cleaning on my hair - this is good for a once a week deep clean for the hair. But, this line was just too heavy on my thin, fine hair. My hair was really smooth but it looked greasy the following day after using this. If you have thicker hair, I think you would really like this as a deep clean line!

If you have thin hair; but, still want to try this brand, I would suggest the 2chic Frizz Be Gone Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner! All of these products can be found on well.ca.

Natural, Organic, Vegan (and Mostly Canadian) Shampoos and Conditioners!

I hope this round up was helpful, especially if you are looking for Canadian, natural, vegan or organic hair products! I have really enjoyed finding shampoos and conditioners that work for my hair type!
