Five on Friday - April 28, 2017

Happy Friday everyone!! Holy moly, this has been a big week for us!

ONE

This Sunday, April 23 we welcomed our beautiful little boy, Elliott to our family! He came at 2:08 in the morning - I ended up being induced because of my blood pressure (which has been high my whole pregnancy). Elliott came pretty quickly, but gave us a little scare as he had his umbilical cord around his neck twice and needed a little extra oxygen after he was born. He recovered really well and is doing great!

The first week has been a little busy - my older son is 12 so it has been a long time since I have had to do the baby phase. I have been pretty used to a full night's sleep so that's been a big adjustment!! We are all pretty excited for the new addition to our family!

TWO

I finally pulled out my FitBit this week! I was told I shouldn't wear it during pregnancy so it has been off since August! I thought post-baby it is time to start thinking of getting my butt in to gear! (Plus, these cute bands help!!)

THREE
I haven't spent a lot of time talking about my pregnancy weight on the blog. I don't focus a lot on fitness, but it will become a big part of my life soon as I try and get back to my pre-baby size! My body does not really feel like my own right now - it almost more comfortable being pregnant than being just post-baby!

I started my pregnancy at 160 lbs (I'm 5'6" and wasn't super thrilled with this weight - it was probably 10 lbs more than I am generally "happy" with my body at). But, I gained the average amount of 35 lbs, putting me at 195 lbs when Elliot was born. It has been 5 days post-baby and I am at 180 lbs now. My goal weight is 150 lbs, but I'm not going to rush my body and don't currently have a time-frame on this!

I will be sharing some of my journey on here with you guys to help keep me motivated! My problem is I don't really love exercising so I find it such chore to do. I really need to find some exercises that I love - I'm looking at classes like Baby Barre (bring baby along in a carrier), Yoga, etc. Do you guys have any favorite exercise regimes? And, any post baby tips to get back in to shape? I would love to hear it!

FOUR

How cute are these planner stickers?! They are from Uncommon Plans and I got Jazzercise Cats, Wine Unicorns, Workout Girls, and Computer Girls. I needed a little spruce up in my planner and of course, speaking of getting back in to exercise I pre-planned by ordering these stickers!

FIVE

Hope you all have a great weekend! I will be spending my weekend trying to catch up on some sleep! It might be quiet around here as I find a routine, but I plan on trying to keep my posts as regular as possible! I love this blog and don't plan on neglecting it too much!

  1. First off, congratulations on your little bundle! So precious! Those planner stickers are adorable, I was just looking at their things a few weeks ago while looking at planner supplies (that I sooo do not need). ;)

And I have such a problem with planner stickers - I don't need them at all either, but I tell myself I stay more organized when my planner looks really cute!!!! :)

  2. Again, congratulations on the new bundle! Your older son can help out a little which is good :-) I'm happy to still see you blogging/IGing nails and masks too. I don't doubt that you must be exhausted, so it's nice to see you still enjoying everything beauty!
