April 2017 - Boxycharm Unboxing and Review

Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box for $21.00 a month + $5.00 shipping to Canada (shipping is free to the U.S.) Boxycharm sends 4 to 5 full size and luxury size beauty items.

This subscription focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! (I personally love all the makeup though and they have sent full size palettes in the past!) While it is a little pricier than the inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size!

Every subscriber generally receives the same products, but their is usually 1 or 2 items that have a few variations, so our boxes may not be identical!

Here is a look at my April Boxycharm:

This month's theme is "Boho Glow" and Boxycharm always includes a detailed product card explaining the items that were included in each month's subscription.

Here is a look at the products I received:
April 2017 - Boxycharm Unboxing and Review

The Diamond Collection 16 Color Pro Concealer Palette by Measurable Difference ~ $20.00. Featuring 16 versatile shades, this makeup set works for any skin tone. The creamy, blendable formula melts perfectly into the skin, making any blemish or skin flaw disappear.

This is a big concealer palette - makes the most sense to send out instead of a random concealer color to subscribers. This is great for those who do makeup on other people and could easily be used to contour as well. While this isn't perfect for me, I think I will get a fair bit of use out of this.

Lip Gloss: "Plato's Cave" by Allegory Story ~ $15.00. A creamy, moisturizing, pigmented lip gloss with a touch of vanilla scent.

The shade is described as "a warm mocha brown shade", which is not my color at all! I haven't heard of this brand, but this brand is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben free, phthalate free & gluten free. This sounds good. Unfortunately, the color is not great for me so I will be passing it on.

Blend Squad: 3-Piece Contour Blending Sponges by PUR The Complexion Authority ~ $36.00. Set of three late-free and non-allergenic blending sponges. Can be used damp or dry. It's washable, reusable, and odor-free.

I use my sponges every day with my makeup so this is welcome for me! I have been on the edge of needing to throw out my Beauty Blender, but I have been holding on to it for a little too long! These are a little stiff compared to the BB, but I'm sure they will work well. They have a flat surface on the back that will be good for concealer and powder.

Project Beauty Hairgurt - Smoothing Yogurt Shampoo ~ $10.00 for 4 oz bottle. Wondering when your hair got a mind of its own? Try this Creamy, Rich Shampoo with Yogurt, Prebiotics, Quinoa, 6 of sulfates, parabens, harsh salt system, harmful colors and harmful fragrances.

This shampoo smells amazing! So good! I think it's a bit weird that we got the hair masque (conditioner) back in the September Boxycharm, so I haven't used it yet which means I can use them together. But, I do prefer to get a shampoo and conditioner set together rather than 7 months apart...

Rodeo Drive Highlighter by OFRA Cosmetics ~ $35.00. Soak up the summer sun day or night with OFRA's Rodeo Drive Highlighter! This radiant product captures the luxury and glamour of the famous street in sunny California.

This highlighter is beautiful! Although, despite how wrapped up it was, the case was a little messy with highlighter powder - but this wasn't broken. I love highlighters, so this is always welcome. It is a little different from quite a few highlighters that I have!

Boxycharm came with 4 full sized, and 1 travel sized item and a value of $116.00. The value of Boxycharm is always high-valued and features all full sized products or the occasional travel size (but no small samples!)! This box had a really great mix of products with makeup, skincare, and accessories - but it does have a much heavier makeup influence! This box is decent, not my favorite products. I love the highlighter, and like the concealer, sponges and shampoo (they aren't amazing), and I will pass on the lipgloss.
