Reflections of 2015!

I have to say that 2015 was actually a really crazy year for me - lots of ups and downs, but it did end on a positive note!

I thought I would spend a little time looking back at my favorite moments before I'm ready to move on to 2016!

I'm just going to highlight some awesome times over the year (in chronological order, not in order of my favorite!)

Bobsledding at Canada Olympic Park

This was such an awesome way to start the year! Mitch's sister and brother in law were in town from Sweden and we wanted to do something fun and different together! This was such a rush!!! So fun!

My Little Man Turned 10!

Some days I wonder where the time has gone - Damian is 10 already!!! Wow!! He is such a sweet, awesome little boy!!

I Participated in the Polar Plunge

Every year Alberta Law Enforcement employees get together to raise money for The Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run supporting The Special Olympics! What a great cause and a crazy experience (for the same project, we worked together at Cops and Coras to raise money as well!)

We Rallied To Save Our Jobs (And Won!)

This was probably some of the hardest months of 2015 - earlier this year, the government announced that they would be closing our facility to save money. I was devastated - this is my dream job and my now husband and I work together. This all happened in the middle of planning a wedding. But amazingly, we got a ton of support and rallied for change - during the election the government changed and our building stayed open and our jobs were saved!

I Had An Amazing Bridal Shower in Kelowna

What more could a wine lover want than a Bachelorette Party in B.C.'s Wine Country?! We had a beautiful house to stay at, an amazing day wine touring, an awesome dinner, a fun time partying, and an awesome spa day to end it all! All these girls were amazing and I was totally spoiled!!!

We Had Some Awesome Family Time in Banff

Despite how crazy and busy our summer was, we always make sure to take Damian out to Banff and enjoy some time in the mountains hiking and enjoying the town! When you are this close to the mountains sometimes you forget how amazing it is to get out there and enjoy nature!

I Married The Love of My Life!!!!!!

Wedding Planning is crazy - I can't believe there is people that do this for a living - yikes! But everyone's hard work and help made our special day so amazing!!! Sure, we had serious wind to contend with, but everything else went down without a hitch! It was the most amazing day of my life and I couldn't have done it without all our family and friends!

We Honeymooned in Turks and Caicos

We spent 2 weeks in Turks and Caicos and stayed on 3 islands - Provo, Grand Turk and Salt Cay. It was absolutely gorgeous these - the perfect honeymoon!

We Spend The Rest of The Year Recovering and Relaxing

After the Wedding and the Honeymoon, we had a bit to get through. My husband had major knee surgery and we spent weeks with him recovering! Once he was on the mend, we tried to enjoy the rest of the year and not do anything too crazy! Perfect way to end the year!

Honestly, after all the ups and downs of 2015 I am hoping for a quiet 2016!! I know most people have big plans, but I want to just relax and enjoy life for 2016! Wishing you all the best!
