Manicure Monday (Conversation Hearts for Valentine's Day!)

Ahh, almost time for Valentine's Day! 

I thought this year I would try a candy related manicure! And my inspiration is Conversation Hearts! I love these candies and thought they would make such cute nails!! 

Here are the products I used for this week's Manicure Monday:

• OPI Top Coat
• Formula X Nail Cleanser and Base Coat
• Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Hot Pink
• Nail Art Brush
• Ciate in "Strawberry Milkshake"
• Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "Mint Sorbet"

I am only doing green and pink so it's not too many colors, but feel free to do as many different conversation heart colors as you like - try and use pastels if you have them!

Here are the steps I followed for this week's manicure:

1. Nail Cleanser and Base Coat

2. 2 coats of polish - I painted 4 pink with 1 green accent nail:

3. Using a nail art brush and the opposite color from the base of your nail, draw the top of a heart (or a whole heart if you wish:

4. And fill in with polish.

5. Add as many hearts as you like - I did 2, 1 pink 1 green:

6. Let polish dry well. Then, using the nail art pen - write a word on to the "heart". I just chose a one word phrase as it is a little tricky!! 

7. Complete on all hearts

8. Let dry well and Top Coat!
