February 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag - Makeup Sample Subscription Review

Ipsy is one of the inexpensive beauty bag sample subscriptions. You receive 4-5 deluxe sample size or full size products each month. The cost is $10 US (+ $4.95 shipping to Canada).

Ipsy is generally make-up products with a mix of skin, nail, and hair products based on a beauty profile you complete. There is usually 12-18 products that are selected from each month! You can view your "glam room" online that tells you all the products you will receive each month (I really like to keep it a surprise so I don't check ahead of time!) You also receive a make-up bag each month with your products.

Here is a look at my February Ipsy Bag:

The theme of this month is IpsyLove - which fits with Valentine's Day this month! I love that everything is very pink!!

Ipsy does not send out a product card - instead you log into your account and view your items on their website.

Here is a closer look at all the products:
Model Co. Blush in "Cosmopolitan" ~ full size $22. ModelCo’s BLUSH Cheek Powder creates a beaming, rosy glow to brighten every complexion. The micronized color pigments and luxurious, pressed powder delivers a sheer, natural radiance that lasts all day.
Cosmopolitan is described as "ballerina pink" - this actually looks like a really nice color - I currently have 5 blushes on the go, so I haven't decided if I am going to keep it for later or pass it on to someone who will use it right away.

Luxie Beauty Large Angled Face Brush ~ full size $16 (currently on sale for $8). The Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush is a 100% Animal Cruelty Free brush with high quality synthetic hair bristles that are soft to the touch. With its Vegan makeup qualities from bristles to ferrule, this Rose Gold brush is a must have in your makeup collection. Coated with a revolutionary antibacterial solution for minimal brush cleansing, your brush remains fresh and clean for longer periods of time. The density of the brush allows for an even application without any wasted product and does not absorb the product into the bristles.
This brush is used for contouring angles of the face - use to highlight cheekbones with highlighter and bronzer by angling brush in an upward motion.

Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil ~ sample size 10ml for $28.57 (full size is 20 ml for £30 - or $57.13 CAN). The Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil is a highly effective face oil packed with powerful natural anti-oxidants and vitamins that are instantly absorbed to leave skin feeling plumper, firmer and glowing with radiance.
I love face oils; however, I am concerned that this one has added fragrances which may be not great for skin. I am a little apprehensive to try this but I probably will - have you tired this face oil before? The reviews seem good, so I will likely try it!

Cargo Cosmetics Mini Lip Gloss in "Anguilla" ~ approx value $8 (full size is $16). A new generation of Cargo’s lip gloss. Its super high shine gloss delivers intense color payoff and locks in moisture to keep lips feeling hydrated. This longwearing lip gloss has a slick texture that feels creamy gliding over lips without being sticky. Ingredients such as Vitamin E and Jojoba Seed oil help increase lip moisture and decrease the appearance of furrows around the mouth while increasing lip volume to its maximum fullness.
So first the value was really confusing - the weight on the bottle works out to be double the size of the full size product online?! so I'm just guessing it is half the size?! This color is not for me - super light pinks just do not work with my skin tone - I will be passing this on.

Rob Scheppy for 'tini beauty in "Pearl Fizz" ~ sample size for $4.93 (full size is 8 shadows for $39.50). The must-have shimmering beige powder shadow from the palette designed for 'Tini Beauty by Hollywood makeup artist Rob Scheppy. Creative force behind Kim Kardashian's most memorable looks, Rob crafted Pearl Fizz as the perfect shade to highlight brow bones, add dimension to lids and illuminate the eyes.
This is nice color, nothing special or exciting - I have been receiving a few light highlighter type eyeshadows lately so I will pass this on if I have something similar to it!

So altogether, I received 5 items (2 full size) with a total value of $79.50. This value is great and the bag is decent - that face oil really helped push the value up so I am hoping it is good! I'm not happy with the lipgloss color but everything else seems decent (i'm less impressed because I have a similar blush ans eyeshadow but they are both good products!).
