June 2024 Ipsy Glambag Unboxing

Ipsy to me is one of the OG Beauty Subscription - I have been getting these once every few months just to see if they still are great!

The June 2024 Theme is Sunny Days Ahead and described as "If there was ever a print that screamed summer, it’s June’s Glam Bag design. It’s bright, bold, and perfectly captures the feel of a sun-kissed season thanks to its high-impact colors (picked in honor of Pride Month!), wetsuit-esque fabric, and sporty zipper. Plus, it's packed with all the sizzling beauty picks you need for sunny days ahead."

June 2024 Ipsy Glambag Unboxing
I purchased this on my own

The Ipsy Glam Bag is $14 per month + $3.95 shipping to Canada (it worked out to $25.06 CAN with the exchange for the month!) Each month comes with 5 curated products based on your preference quiz and I now you get to pick one of the items that is included in the box. It also gives you access to beauty deals in their shop.

Quarterly Beauty Empties ~ July - September 2022

Monthly Empties posts were getting a little overwhelming - they were a lot to write and keep notes about. I've decided to still talk about empties, but only makeup products and skincare products (no more body, hair, nail or personal care products!) It was just getting too much, but I still want to share my thoughts on products I've used up!

Some products may have been received as PR samples - this post contains affiliate links

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ~ $43.00 CAN (travel size shown here). An award-winning lightweight setting and finishing spray that keeps makeup fresh, smudge-proof, and transfer resistant for up to 16 hours.

I needed a travel size setting spray for my trip to Italy previously this year. This one was perfect for locking everything in crazy humid weather - I knew this one would be perfect and I wasn't wrong! This did make my favourites in May 2022 and it's one of the best setting sprays ever!

Monthly Beauty Haul - May 2021

I always love these haul posts - it's a way to keep track of everything that I picked up every month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!

Last year, I got a little crazy about trying to stick to a crazy budget and this year I'm just going to buy what I want and try and be reasonable about my purchases!

(Also, I'm only sharing what I received every month now since I'm not trying to stick to a crazy budget, so some things I ordered in May will show up in my June haul now if they don't show up on time, ect!)

Monthly Beauty Haul - May 2021
I purchased everything in this post

Sephora Order ~ $126.01 CAN. I couldn't resist picking up the Natasha Denona Zendo palette - it's the midsized palettes, so $87 and it's lovely. I love this colour story and I've played with it once so far (I need to do more makeup asap!) Also, the Pat McGrath kits were on sale so I couldn't resist! Then, the add on code was the Milk mascara.

Masking - Last 50 Days Of My #100DaysofSheetMasks

Way back on August 1, I started a #100Daysofsheetmasks challenge with a fellow blogger, Jayne from Cosmetic Proof and the challenge went all the way to November 8. Basically, we wear a mask every day for 100 days straight! I shared my reviews and thoughts of my First 50 days on another post - you can check it out here if you are interested

Some masks may have been received as PR or won in giveaways - this post contains affiliate links

While I found the first 50 days really fun, I did actually think the second 50 days was quite hard to get to - it almost made masking feel a little like a chore to me (sadly), so I actually haven't used a sheet mask since I finished the 100 days! But, I certainly plan on starting again in moderation! And, this challenge was good and my skin certainly benefited from it, I think I'd do a month timeline as a max for the next round!

May 2019 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Here's a look at my May makeup garbage (I know it's a little late ok):

May 2019 - Monthly Empties
Some products may have been received as PR samples or in giveaways - this post contains affiliate links

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ~ sample size shown here (full size is $26.00 CAN). A leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supple lips overnight.

This lip sleeping mask is amazing! It made my Best of 2018 Makeup products because it was so good! This little sample lasted me for a couple of weeks, so this was a handy little sample and this is the best formula!

July 2018 - Monthly Empties

It's late in August to talk about July - whoops! Time to dig in to my beauty garbage!

Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ ~ $14.00 CAN for travel size (full size is $30.00 CAN). A lightweight water mist that gently soothes and refreshes skin and finishes makeup.

I love Fix+! This little mini is so good because I always have one in my purse to refresh my makeup during the day - this is one of the best sprays to make me look non-powdery and cakey!
Repurchase: Yes!

June 2018 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Time for a look at my beauty garbage:

June 2018 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer ~ $45.00 CAN. A makeup primer that assists with balancing the skin's texture and tone for smoother, more even, and longer-lasting makeup wear.

This was a pretty good primer - I thought it worked well to smooth out pores and make foundation application easier. This actually made my favorite products back in Feb. 2016 and I still like it. This bottle still has a bit in it, but it's getting old and I found it wasn't applying to my skin the same way so time to get rid of it!
Repurchase: Yes, eventually...

January 2018 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks!

Time to take a look at my beauty garbage! (I hope each month that I will have lots of empties; because, I'm trying to make a conscious effort to go through and use up products!)

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch ~ 24 patches for $4.42. Acne Pimple Master Patch heals acne, blemishes and prevents future breakouts quickly. Hydrocolloid patch prevent secondary infections and absorbs exudate to encourage wound repair process more faster.

These are hands down sooo good! These made my favorite products in September 2015 and I have continued to repurchase these multiple times! These are great to use on pimples that are building under the surface or that have surfaced that you don't want to pop! These clear up pimples quickly work so well.
Repurchase: Yes!

My U.S.A. Shopping Haul - Ulta, Target, Sephora and Naimies!

I could not wait to get this post up - I may have went a little shopping crazy on my recent trip to L.A. and Anaheim. There are so many products that aren't readily in Canada that I have been waiting patiently to try!

(Also, I usually keep everything in CAD $ in my posts, but just because these are easier in USD, that's what I will share the prices in for this haul!)

I didn't actually think I would make it to a Sephora while in California! When we were in L.A. it was just too far of a drive; but, when we stayed in Anaheim we walked to our house through Downtown Disney and I saw Sephora and HAD to run in and pick this one item up!

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask ~ $45.00 US. The Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is a luxuriously bouncy, breathable sleeping mask that smoothes and perfects skin, overnight.

Five on Friday - January 12, 2018

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - it got super cold again this week in Calgary so it has me counting down the days until we leave for California (8 days!)

ONE

I love when someone knows me so well and just picks out cute little gifts for me! My sister just sent this little gift and everything is so cute! She lives in Vancouver and mentioned this store Miniso - it looks so cool! There isn't one in Calgary; but, when I'm nearby one I have to check it out! The blog book I'm sure wasn't in that store; but, everything else was!

Let's have a look at my beauty garbage from December:
December 2017 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance ~ sample (full size is $24.00).

This is a decent eyeshadow primer - I thought my shadow lasted all day and didn't crease using this.
Repurchase: Yes, I would consider this...

November 2017 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Time to dig in my beauty garbage of the month! I'm also trying something new this month and adding my Month in Masks post to me empties post as well! Now, there will just be 1 big empties post instead of 2 different ones!

Lush Cup O' Coffee Face And Body Mask ~ $11.95 - $22.95.

This is one of my favorite masks! You will need to like coffee to enjoy this - it smells very strong! It is a great exfoliator and I love using it in the morning. It is a body and face mask so I usually apply it all over, wait 5 minutes and then jump in the shower to rinse it all off! My skin always feels really smooth and looks bright!

Repurchase: Yes

Mask Wednesday - Tony Moly Master Lab "Intensive Moisturizing Ultra Collagen" Mask Sheet

Happy Mask Day! I am always interested in trying new masks from brands that I'm really familiar with - especially, when they are more expensive with greater claims! You know, like are they better? Are they worth the extra money? I plan to test that out with a Master Lab mask from Tony Moly!

Mask Wednesday - Tony Moly Master Lab "Intensive Moisturizing Ultra Collagen" Mask Sheet

Tony Moly Master Lab Sheet Mask - Intensive Moisturizing Ultra Collagen ~ $9.00 US for a set of 2 masks. Our Master Lab Sheet Mask Collection features an ultra thin hydrating sheet mask made of natural cellulose for even and consistent absorption of active ingredients! Each Mask features a customized formula that targets specific skin concerns.

This mask uses a cellulose material as opposed to a regular pulp or cotton sheet mask. I love a cellulose mask - they are super soft and well fitting on the face. And hands down, I would pay more for a better quality sheet.

August 2017 - Month in Masks & Mask Empties!

Masking is a huge part (and probably my favorite part) of my skincare routine! I try to use all types of masks as often as possible as I find they really help moisturize and improve my skin!

This post is a review of all the masks I use each month and mini reviews on all of them - I also consider the Month of Masks my Mask Empties post, because I do not feature my sheet masks in my monthly empties post! You can check out my past Month of Masks here

Here is a look at the masks I used in August:

August 2
Too Cool For School Coconut Ceramide Mask ~ $8.00. A sheer and lightweight sheet mask drenched in coconut water for instant and refreshing hydration.

This mask smelled like coconuts and I loved it - it was so refreshing and smelled just like Summer. This fit really well, had a good amount of essence, and worked well! It was brightening and made my skin look and feel good. If you want any more info, I featured this mask on a Mask Wednesday post you can check out here

Tony Moly Panda's Dream Smudge Out Mascara Volume - Cutest Mascara Ever, But Does It Work?!

Tony Moly is known for it's fun and cute k-beauty packaging - they helped create the phrase "skincaretainment" and make k-beauty products more mainstream! I have always been a fan of the brand, but have really only tried their skincare products.

When I saw this ridiculously cute panda mascara, I HAD to try it!

Tony Moly Panda's Dream Smudge Out Mascara Volume - Cutest Mascara Ever, But Does It Work?!

Tony Moly has a whole "Panda's Dream" line - cooling eye stick, sleeping pack, lip balm, mascara, hand cream, lip pencil, contour stick, compacts, blush and more! Of course, they all come in amazing Panda packages!

April 2017 - Monthly Favorites!

Here is what I have been loving in April:

Milk Makeup Holographic Stick in "Supernova" ~ $34.00. A highlighter stick that gives a hyper-lavender iridescent effect for an otherworldly aura.

I had to try this highlighter as soon as Milk Makeup was available in Canada - I was thinking a purple highlighter would be hard to wear or this would be too much, but it is gorgeous! It has a nice light glow and is totally wearable, or you can build it up as much as you like! You can see my full review, swatches, and makeup look here

April 2017 - Month in Masks & Mask Empties

Masking is a huge part (and probably my favorite part) of my skincare routine! I try to use all types of masks as often as possible as I find they really help moisturize and improve my skin!

This post is a review of all the masks I use each month and mini reviews on all of them - I also consider the Month of Masks my Mask Empties post, because I do not feature my sheet masks in my monthly empties post! You can check out my past Month of Masks here

Here is a look at the masks I used in April:

April 2
Dragon's Blood Fix Plumping Mask ~ $14.95. An intensely hydrating gel mask combining multiple skin perfecting complexes to plump the look of wrinkles and refine the skin's appearance for a brighter, more youthful looking complexion.

This mask can be used as a rinse off mask or as a night mask as well - I love when I can use my masks as dual purposes! This has a nice cooling effect on the skin and was a really nice light gel. It didn't dry or harden on the skin making it easy to rinse off! It was a little sticky, but made my skin feel good! You can view a past Skincare Sunday review here if you are interested!
Repurchase: I will keep trying it out before I decide!

Five on Friday - April 21, 2017

Happy Friday everyone! Hope your week is good - mine was a little busy with a few appointments (baby is only 2 weeks away at this point in time!), but I still had plenty of time to relax this week! And, relaxing is exactly what I needed this week!

ONE

Did you guys get your Benefit sample in the mail this week?! This sample of the Benefit Cosmetics "They’re Real! Double The Lip Lipstick & Liner in One" is actually bigger than a sample - it is a travel size product worth $14.00!

The shade I received is "Pink Thrills" and it is described as a true pink. This is a liner and lipstick in one product! I'm super curious to test this out - when I have time, I will do a post on it!

March 2017 - Month in Masks & Mask Empties!

Here is a look at the masks I used in March:

March 1
TONYMOLY I'm Real Mask Sheet - Seaweed ~ $1.99 US. Purifying sheet mask. Contains seaweed. Makes dull skin bright and radiant.

This mask was featured on a Mask Wednesday - you can check out my review here! This mask was not my favorite sheet mask at all. I did not find it moisturizing at all and I need hydration out of my sheet masks!

Repurchase: Maybe another Tony Moly mask, but not this type!
