December 2017 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks!

Let's have a look at my beauty garbage from December:
December 2017 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance ~ sample (full size is $24.00).

This is a decent eyeshadow primer - I thought my shadow lasted all day and didn't crease using this.
Repurchase: Yes, I would consider this...

Garnier Skin Naturals Fresh Cleansing Cloths Face & Eyes ~ $5.97.

So I thought these were the Garnier wipes I actually like; but, it turns out they are not. These just weren't as good - I really struggle to find face wipes that actually work! I like the Skin Active Clean Refreshing Remover Wipes; this type just didn't work well enough for me.
Repurchase: No

Tony Moly Intense Care Dual Effect Sleeping Pack ~ $22.99.

I didn't think this was great - plus it smelled weird to me.
Repurchase: No

Nova Scotia Fisherman Lip Balm Sea Salt N Caramel ~ full size $6.95.

This smells really good and I really liked using it. It was thick and really hydrating. Towards the end it was getting a little thick and glooped off and left a bit of white cast. Overall though, I did like it. And it lasted a long time.

Repurchase: Maybe...

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ~ sample size (full size is $19.00 - $40.00).

I really loved this setting spray - it worked really well and seriously made my makeup last for a really long time!
Repurchase: Yes!

Jesse's Girl Eyeshadow Primer ~ $5.99.

This was a little thin of a formula for me - I just didn't think it really worked that well. I found it hard to smooth over the lid and my shadows creased in the inner corners. This isn't fully empty but close enough and I just wanted to continue on in my collection and use something better.
Repurchase: Nope!

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel ~ $15.00 for 50 ml (also available in bigger sizes!).

Years ago I used to use Dermalogica all the time and had stopped over the past couple of years. I'm so glad I started using some of their products again as they are just sooo good on the skin! This is so gentle and works really well!
Repurchase: Yes, already have a bigger size!

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser ~ sample (full size is $12.50 - $40.00).

I'm not a fan of this - I found it to really sting my eyes and I do not like that in a cleanser. I did like the consistency but overall I wasn't a fan. No eye burning when I wash my face is desired.
Repurchase: No

Clinique Pep-Start Cleansing Swipes Pop-Ups ~ 1 pod (full size 9 pods for $14.00).

Okay, how neat is this packaging?! I love that you just pop it down and up comes a wipe! I mean - it's a little wasteful so please recycle the plastic; but, it is really convenient! This would be great just to have 1 in your purse for on the go. I did think the wipe worked well - I prefer wipes to be a touch wetter just to feel like it really cleansed my skin, but it did work.
Repurchase: Probably here and there if I needed 1 for on the go, but not all the time!

All Good Lemongrass Coconut Oil Skin Food ~ $14.99 for full size (sample size pictured here).

This is just coconut oil with lemongrass essential oil in it. one I did like how the coconut oil worked on my skin! I applied it right after the bath and I was worried that it would feel super oily, but it absorbed quickly and did not leave my skin feeling oily. I wasn't a huge fan of the lemongrass scent (I think I would have preferred a different essential oil - lavender, etc).
Repurchase: Not the lemongrass scent, maybe another!

Mitchum Clinical Soft Solid ~ $8.99.

Deodorant is nothing special; but, I love the clinical strength formula and this brand is my go to. I like that it is both an antiperspirant and a deodorant. It works the best!

Repurchase: Yes

Crest 3D White Radiant Mint Whitening Toothpaste ~ $6.49.

Toothpaste - not exciting. I'm not picky about what we use, usually some type of whitening type!
Repurchase: Sure if it's on sale when I go shopping

Oscar Blandi - Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray ~ $23.00.

This one smells pretty good - kind of like lemons. I use dry shampoo all the time because my hair is so thin and looks greasy the day after I shampoo. I didn't think this one was a stand out though. It worked well - it did have less white cast then some dry shampoos I have used, but still too much white cast for what I like.
Repurchase: Not likely

Bath and Body Works Peach Bellini Deep Cleansing Hand Soap ~ $6.50.

One of my favorite Bath and Body scents - this is so good!

Repurchase: Yes - although, probably in the foaming version instead

Bath and Body Works Mango Mandarin Deep Cleansing Hand Soap ~ $6.50.

I liked this scent as well. Again, I prefer the foaming hand soap over this type.
Repurchase: Maybe

Lush You've Been Mangoed Luxury Bath Oil ~ $4.95.
Lush Avobath Bath Bomb ~ $6.95.

A Lush employee recommend these 2 be paired together in a bath and it was a great idea - they smelled so good together and made a really relaxing bath.
Repurchase: Yes

Lush Humpty Dumpty Bath Bomb ~ $8.95.

This was a split in to 3 bath bomb - although the middle egg never came out so I just used these 2 pieces together. It worked fine - probably not the best as it is pretty old now.
Repurchase: If they come out with something like this again.

Lush Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb ~ $7.95.

I was really excited to try this Jelly Bomb and I was not disappointed with it! The white part is like a regular bath bomb and the pink part is jelly so you kind of break it up as it bubbles and it leaves this neat jello layer on the top of the bath. I really liked this!
Repurchase: Yes!

Lush Bunch Of Carrots Bubble Bar ~ $12.95.

This comes in a bunch of 3 carrots and I think this is the last of my 3 - these are great. They made the bath super bubbly and smelled good!
Repurchase: Yes, it's seasonal so if it's released again I would!

You've Been Mangoed Luxury Bath Oil ~ $4.95.
Champagne Shimmer Bath Bomb ~ $18.99.

Whoa, are the Charmed Aroma bombs really that expensive?! I got this one as a gift and it did come with a cute ring in it; but, it was soooo purfumey smelling - it was too strong for my liking. The Mango bath melt was a repeat and it was great!
Repurchase: Yes to Lush, No to Charmed Aroma

Lush Tree D Luxury Bath Melt ~ $6.95.
Lush Thundersnow Bath Bomb ~ $6.95.

The Tree D can be used in 2 parts (this is only half of it) and it smells so good and the Thundersnow bomb smells like chocolate peppermint and was soooo good! These were the perfect holiday bath used together and made the bath bright teal green! (the melt did leave a touch of a waxy ring around the edge of the tub; but, it was easy to clean!)
Repurchase: Yes to both

Lush The Snowman Bubbleroon ~ $7.95.

How cute is this little snowman?! I'm sure you could have broken him up for more baths; but, I used him all in one for a big bubble bath! This lasted sooo long, I still had bubbles in the bath when I was ready to get out!
Repurchase: Yes - bring him back next year!

So, for December I used up 25 products (loooots of bath goodies!), which is pretty good. I didn't feel like I used many makeup or skincare products up, but I still got through quite a few!

And, now here is a look at my Mask Empties/Month in Masks for December:

December 1
Boo Bamboo Sheet Mask Brightening ~ $3.29.

I love Boo Bamboo masks! This is the second I have tried from the brand and they fit so well, have the perfect amount of essence, last for over 30 minutes and made my skin look and feel great!
Repurchase: Yes!

December 2
Acure Pore Clarifying Red Clay Mask ~ 50ml for $19.49 (30ml pictured here).

I reviewed this mask in the same post as the Boo Bamboo mask - you can see my full thoughts here! This was interesting for a clay based mask because it was quite thin so it felt really light on the skin - it did not dry down and get hard or tight on the skin which was a nice change from most clay masks! It was easy to rinse off and made my skin look great! It did have a fairly earthy smell though!
Repurchase: Luckily, I have lots to use still first!

December 5
ToGoSpa Bamboo Charcoal Eyes ~ $15.00 for 3 sets.

These are called the "garbage collectors" and help detoxify the under eye and leave them bright! I'm a big fan of ToGoSpa eye masks - they are my favorites and the bamboo type worked really well. These did brighten under my eyes. They were a little more soaked in essence and slippery than I prefer; but, it reminds you to relax while you wear them!
Repurchase: Yes

December 7
Dewytree Squalane Resilience Solution Mask ~ $3.00 (set of 10 for $30.00).

This was good - I thought the fit was decent and it was well soaked in essence - lasted about 45 minutes on me. I thought my skin looked healthy and smooth the next morning.
Repurchase: If it's easy to find...

December 8
The Face Shop Real Nature Acai Berry Face Mask ~ $3.00.

I usually can put up with the too-big fit of the Face Shop sheet masks; but, this one also had way too much essence and it was dripping off my face. Made it too hard to enjoy. I didn't wear it for long.
Repurchase: I do usually love these masks, so maybe...

December 14
The Face Shop Intense Brightening Mascream Sheet Mask ~ $5.00.

I really love these masks - they have a ton of a thicker, creamy essence that is so hydrating and softening on the skin. This mask also fits really well and lasts a long time. Plus, I love me a good brightening mask so this is great!
Repurchase: Yes!

December 19

I was excited to try this mask - these black peel off masks are all over social media. But, I have heard some hurt to remove - not this one! This one applies so easily, wears for 20-25 minutes, and then peels off super easily! My skin was super clean after wearing this and I had a few blemished spots that were noticeably reduced the next day! Really good!
Repurchase: Yes

December 20

This is great for calm, clear skin and is great for sensitive skin. The mask has a really unique texture - you have to work it in your hands a little bit before it will smooth over your face. It was soft on the skin, but did take a few rinses to get off. My skin was smooth, hydrated and bright after wearing this - the next morning too!
Repurchase: Hmm... will keep trying this before I decide...

December 27
Jayjun Purple Fragrance Mask ~ $3.50.

This is supposed to make skin bright and resilient! This is a new mask brand to me, so I was excited to try this. This mask fits so well and really adheres to the skin. This lasted for a while on my face; but, it was too fragranced for me to enjoy. Too perfumey smelling - blah.
Repurchase: No

December 31
Skoah AHA Mask ~ sample $6.00 (full size is $38.00).

Skoah Klearity Mask ~ sample $6.00 (full size is $48.00).

I the biggest fan of this mask combination - it works so well on my skin! I mixed both together and applied a generous layer to my face and left on for 15 minutes, then rinsed off! I love the aha because it is tingly and pepperminty and the klearity works well for my blemishes! My skin looked AMAZING the next day - it was bright and clear.
Repurchase: Yes to both for sure!

So in December I used 10 masks - I usually prefer more; but, between being sick and the holidays, there was not a lot of time!
