November 2017 - Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Time to dig in my beauty garbage of the month! I'm also trying something new this month and adding my Month in Masks post to me empties post as well! Now, there will just be 1 big empties post instead of 2 different ones!

Lush Cup O' Coffee Face And Body Mask ~ $11.95 - $22.95.

This is one of my favorite masks! You will need to like coffee to enjoy this - it smells very strong! It is a great exfoliator and I love using it in the morning. It is a body and face mask so I usually apply it all over, wait 5 minutes and then jump in the shower to rinse it all off! My skin always feels really smooth and looks bright!

Repurchase: Yes

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask ~ $9.95.

This is also one of my favorite masks - it smells like blueberries. This particular mask though was really thick and fell off my face in chunks as I was trying to apply it. Must have just been mixed a little too thick. But it is so gentle on the face and works well!
Repurchase: Yes

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel ~ $9.95.

This is my favorite scent - I love Snow Fairy so much! It's a really sweet scent! The shower gels are always good from Lush too!
Repurchase: Yes, it's seasonal and I repurchase every Christmas season.

Arbonne It’s A Long Story Mascara ~ full size $39.00 (sample size shown here).

This was a basic lengthening mascara - and this was a one time use sample. It did add length but I found it to be clumpy as well. Not worth $39.00.
Repurchase: No

Buxom Lash Mascara ~ full size $25.00 (sample size shown here).

I did think this was a lengthening and thickening mascara - it worked well. I don't know what is up with sample mascaras not having a twist off top (it is a click on and off cap) which makes it really messy - the full size has a proper twist off cap so it won't be messy but it really throws me off. This was a good mascara, but not a real stand out for me.
Repurchase: Mmmm... probably not...

The Body Shop Shea Butter Shower Cream ~ $9.00 for full size (sample size shown here).

I got this a while ago in an advent calendar I think. This was good - I really like the texture of the shower cream. It's really soft and moisturizing. I don't really like the Shea Butter scent personally. It's a little to musky for me.
Repurchase: Not the Shea Butter scent...

Bausch + Lomb Sensitive Eyes Multi-purpose Solution ~ $10.99 for full size (travel size shown here).

Not a very exciting product - I wear contacts and this is the only contact solution I use. It works well.
Repurchase: Yes, already have!

I got these as a freebie in some add on kit from buying so much in groceries. These were fine; but, they weren't amazing for my hair. They were smoothing; but, not much else really.
Repurchase: Nah.

Joico K-pak Reconstructor ~ $22.22.

I have used the Joico K-pak line for a long time and I really like it for my hair. The reconstructor is great and works really well to mend damaged hair. This is a good deep conditioning mask.
Repurchase: Yes

SeaRx Birch Sap Moisturizer ~ full size is $32 (sample shown here).

This samples were small and were just enough for a full body application. This lotion had a weird smell and I can't place what it is (maybe the Birch Sap). I don't think I would repurchase this.
Repurchase: No

So, in November I only used 11 products up - some good, some bad. I actually think that is the least amount of products I have used up since tracking my empties!

And, now to my Month in Masks/Mask Empties:

November 4
Farmacy Hydrating Coconut Gel Mask - Brightening (Purple Broccoli) ~ $12.00.

I think I raved about these Farmacy masks a lot on this blog - these are some of my favorite masks! They are a thin bio-cellulose material and adhere amazingly to the face! This lasts for about 30 minutes and my skin always looks good after using this mask! Love!
Repurchase: Yes!

November 5
Lush Cup O' Coffee Face And Body Mask ~ $11.95 - $22.95.

Repeat from above!
Repurchase: Yes

November 7
Saturday Skin Spotlight Brightening Mask ~ $7.50 each or $36.00 for 5 masks.

This mask was great - I featured it on a Mask Wed. post this month and you can see a full review on it here! This is a bio-cellulose material, which I love and this mask came with a whole handful of extra essence that I applied first! This lasted about 25 minutes and made my skin look and feel really good! I was very happy with this!
Repurchase: Yes!

November 10
Aritaum Ganoderma Lucidum Fresh Essence Mask ~ $3 (7 for $21).

The main ingredient in this mask is clearly a type of mushroom. This mask fit huge - it was really hard to smooth and cover my whole face. There was a lot of essence and it was okay on my skin; but, I wouldn't get it again because of the fit.
Repurchase: No

November 14
AprilSkin Magic Snow Mask ~ $25.00 US for a box of 10.

This is meant to nourish dry skin and brighten the face! I did post a full review of this mask here so you can check it out. I did like it on my skin and it brightened and moisturized!
Repurchase: Yes, if I can find it!

November 16
KNC Beauty Collagen Lip Mask ~ $15.00 for 3 masks ($5.00 each).

I received 3 of these masks in my November Boxycharm and I did touch briefly on this on my unboxing post. These were really hard to adhere to my lips and they just slipped around the whole time - even when I lied down. It was slightly tingly the whole time; but, didn't really have any noticeable benefits to my lips!
Repurchase: Nope

November 18

Again, I threw a quick review of this mask when I was talking about Stocking Stuffers from Farley Co. This went on really well in a nice thick layer and has walnut shell crumbs for an exfoliation factor. This wore on my face for about 25 minutes, and like most charcoal masks it was a little difficult to rinse off once it dried down. This exfoliated as it rinsed off and did make my skin look and feel really good!
Repurchase: Yes

November 20
Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask ~ $9.95.

Repeat from above!

Repurchase: Yes

November 21
Tony Moly Master Lab Sheet Mask - Intensive Moisturizing Ultra Collagen ~ $9.00 US for a set of 2 masks.

I reviewed this mask for my Mask Wednesday series - you can see more detailed thoughts here! This mask uses a cellulose material which adheres so nicely to the face and I love this mask. This lasts for 45 minutes and left my skin feeling amazing.
Repurchase: Yes

November 26
INC.redible by Nails inc Sparkle like a Unicorn Illuminating Sheet Mask ~ approx. $9.00. Not only will this mask transform you into the cutest thing on the planet, but it will work to give you glowing skin.

This is part of a Nails Inc Beauty Gift Set and I reviewed the whole set (mask along with 2 polishes and a lipstick) here on a Manicure Post! How adorable is this mask?! It is so fun to wear. Unfortunately, it was pretty hard to wear - it was a really thick material and I actually had to cut some slits in it to make it wearable. It was a little dry and lasted about 15 minutes. My skin looked okay after using this, but nothing unreal.

November 27
Labiotte Freniq Turn Over Revital First Mask ~ $1.62 US.

I received this in an In8Beauty subscription and was excited to try it because it is a new brand to me. This was okay - it did adhere well to my face; but, it was still quite big on my face. Around my mouth was really hard to wear. It came with a ton of essence and lasted a long time on my face! My skin felt decent after using it.
Repurchase: Mmmm, probably not from the fit...

Kiehl's Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque ~ $50.00 for 100 ml or $22.00 for 28 ml.

I was excited to try this as I really like Turmeric as a mask ingredient - you can check out more detailed thoughts here on my Mask Wednesday review. This mask was really cooling on the skin and dried down after about 10 minutes but did not get uncomfortable. This mask took a few time to rinse off and my skin felt a little tight when it rinsed off. The feeling went away after finishing my skincare routine.
Repurchase: Mmm... maybe...

So, for November I used 12 masks and there was a decent mix in here!

Anything you loved that you used up this month?
