Happy Friday everyone - hope you all had a great week! It was super busy for me, so I'm really glad it's a long weekend! But, on a good note, I started volleyball up again this week and it was so nice to play with adults (I play with kids at work a fair bit), so it was nice for some good competitive games!

I have to start by saying that Alberta is maybe having the best Fall I've ever seen - I was in Edmonton this past weekend for training and I went out for a few walks! I even saw some larches and they are so lovely! Usually we get one really nice week and then it snows, so it's amazing that we've had a few weeks of perfect weather and beautiful Fall colours!

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Buff Bisque ~ $7.97 CAN. Specially made with a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin #nofilter perfection.

This foundation made my Monthly Favourites in January; but, I will be honest in that I didn't fall in love with this immediately. It looks amazing on this skin applied with a dense, flat foundation brush - not with a sponge! This is so good and it's so affordable - I can finally see what all the hype was about! Repurchase: Already have in a touch lighter shade

January 2019 Monthly Empties & Month in Masks

Time to dig in to my beauty garbage:

Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara ~ $29.00 CAN. An intensely glossy black mascara that volumizes, lengthens, and curls.

This mascara was pretty good - it lengthened, curled and added volume; but, it didn't add as much volume as I prefer for my lashes (which is really an excessive amount of volume). So it is a pretty mascara - you can see it on me in a look here!)
Repurchase: Probably Not 

June 2018 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Time for a look at my beauty garbage:

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer ~ $45.00 CAN. A makeup primer that assists with balancing the skin's texture and tone for smoother, more even, and longer-lasting makeup wear. 

This was a pretty good primer - I thought it worked well to smooth out pores and make foundation application easier. This actually made my favorite products back in Feb. 2016 and I still like it. This bottle still has a bit in it, but it's getting old and I found it wasn't applying to my skin the same way so time to get rid of it! 
Repurchase: Yes, eventually... 

Mask Wednesday - Skinfood Freshmade Watermelon Mask and Ecotools Facial Mask Mates!

Happy Mask Wednesday! Today's post has a bonus review - i'm sharing my thoughts on the Skinfood Freshmade Watermelon Mask annnnnd the Ecotools Facial Mask Mates set!
