Monthly Beauty and Book Haul - March 2023

Last year I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I really stuck to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year! 

I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!

Target Haul ~ $149.89 CAN. I went to California at the start of the month, and just did a little shopping at Target and CVS, so first stop was Target! I was excited to try the ELF Whoa Glow because it's not available in Canada, and I picked up a couple newer items from them that have caught my eye! I also picked up an Olive & June polish and press-ons (the press-ons are absolutely terrible - you can see my review here). I picked up the brush because I forgot one, but it's amazing, and the Natrium glow SPF is supposed to be amazing. The sheet masks look amazing and I can't wait to try everything!

I had so much fun trying out some body masks last year that whenever I see some new ones come out, I have to try them! I mean, I did call body masks the Funnest Product of 2019 and I stand by that! So, when I saw Inc.redible (or Nails Inc), releasing a fruit set of boob and butt sheet masks as part of their Summer collection, I could not resist picking them up - I am all about fruit themed everything right now! Plus, I tried their Rainbow Boob Mask last year and liked it!

May 2020 What I Bought - Monthly Haul!

I set one of my 2020 goals to be actually sticking to my $100 a month Beauty Budget - last year I attempted this and didn't do so well, so I'm actually trying to be a little more strict on myself! I really want to make sure that I can use and enjoy the products I have in my collection and that I will really use the products I picked up! 

I always love my Monthly Haul posts to share with you everything I picked up (since I can't review everything I buy)! I also am trying to hold myself a little more accountable to buying products that I really want and will actually use!

But, this month I ran in to my first conundrum with my budget, where I had some replacement items to purchase (I usually buy them with Shopper's points, so I did make this decision that straight repurchase items will not count towards my monthly budget (but I have to be reasonable about this!)

Nails Inc Order ~ $59.10 CAN. I'm so impatient that I could not wait for this Nails Inc (or Inc.Redible) mask set to come in to stock on Sephora (and I ordered an extra set for my Blogiversary giveaway and it would not have arrived in time from Sephora). Plus, how gorgeous is this Freshly Juiced polish set?! These are stunning polish shades for the Summer! Also, as part of the order, the Girl King polish set came for free. 

The Funnest Skincare Product of 2019

Yesterday was all about my Favourite product of the year, but as I was collecting everything I loved this year, I had another standout product and it was by far the funnest group of products I used all year - body masks!

Earlier in the year, a little group of beauty bloggers decided to do a month where we tried all different masks for different body parts and I went off the deep end trying these and they were so much fun!

Inc.redible is the makeup and skincare line from Nails Inc and I've tried a couple of things from them but not many - a fun unicorn mask and a jelly lipstick. I'm certainly intrigued to try more from the brand (they have some really affordable looking jelly shadows that are on my wishlist!)
