January Shop My Stash Makeup Look - Classic Blue and Making My Own Lipstick

I'm keeping up the Shop My Stash makeup looks for 2020 because I've loved using them as a way to play in my makeup collection and create fun and exciting makeup looks!

I purchased all the makeup featured in this look - this post contains affiliate links

I typically avoid blue makeup - I think it looks so good on some people; but, it's never felt like a colour that I could pull off! But, because Pantone announced the 2020 Colour of the Year as Classic Blue, I really wanted to have fun with the colour!

And, I don't wear a lot of blue eyeshadow so I thought it would be fun to play with a colourful lip look! And, I actually made this lipstick out of an eyeshadow shade! This was a really fun way to play in my collection!

The face products that I used for this look are:

-Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color in "RD103 Petal"
-Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics The Flare Accent Light Palette highlighter in "Gleam"

The base makeup is pretty classic - a full coverage foundation and concealer with setting and finishing powder. I used a classic bronzer and a pretty peachy neutral blush. Then, I used a pretty strong amount of a really light highlighter for an icy sheen!

The eye products that I used for a look are:

-Tarte Make Believe In Yourself: Eye & Cheek Palette
-ColourPop No Filter Matte Concealer in Light 14 (for cutting the crease)
-Lit Cosmetics glitter in Summer Breeze (not available - closest to Paradise Skies)

I'm so in love with how this eye look turned out! I started with the eyeshadow primer and a classic smokey eye with the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette - Bribe as the base shadow, Boundaries as the transition shade and upper crease, End Game on the outer corner and through the crease. Then I cut the crease with the concealer, and applied Barely Baked and Angel Fire to the Lid. Then, from the Tarte palette, I applied Dream to the lower lash line. I finished it off with some blue glitter accents on the crease, lower lash line and liner wing!

The products that I used for my lips are:

-Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Metallic Lipstick in "Icing On The Wall"
-Vaseline Lip Therapy

For this lip look, I started with the Doucce eyeliner and Wet n Wild lip stick just as a base lip look. Then, I created my own lipstick shade using the vaseline and the powder - I blended it up and applied it with a lip brush. While the application wasn't perfect, it was the really nice shade of blue!

I had so much fun coming up with the look and this was really fun and different than my normal makeup looks! I love diving in to my collection and just creating and having fun with makeup!
