I received the January Owlcrate subscription and this month's theme is "Vengeance Will Be Mine". Each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and includes a note from the author as well - they often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun!
This month the items included in the box are:
- Scavenge The Stars by Tara Sims ~ described as "Packed with high-stakes adventure, romance, and dueling identities, this gender-swapped retelling of The Count of Monte Cristo is the first novel in an epic YA fantasy duology". This comes with an exclusive cover and will have a second part coming out later - it also has a letter written from the author and the book is signed!
- Enamel Pin ~ this pin is inspired by the main characters in this month's book and this is an exclusive pin created by Forensics and Flowers.
- Pocket Mirror ~ this is a little mirror/storage container is by Owlcrate and says "You've Got Words in Your Soul" and is inspired by Nevernight.
- Candle ~ I always love candles, so this is perfect to receive! This is an exclusive candle (and they sent out 5 different scents) all inspired by "Children of Blood and Bone" and made by A Court of Candles - the scent I got was "Seer" and it is a lovely tropical scent!
- Socks ~ these are made by Out of Print and inspired by the Crooked Kingdom.
- Cara Kozik Mug ~ I have talked about these exclusive Harry Potter and Cara Kozik mugs from Owlcrate and was so excited that this month's box included the next mug in the series - this is inspired by book 5 The Order of the Phoenix and it's lovely!
- Pin Banner ~ this is a banner inspired by The Hobbit and it was created by In the Reads and it's a lovely little Middle Earth map. I actually have a geeky wine cellar in my basement and this is going to look perfect down there!
If you are interested in signing up, Owlcrate is $29.99 US per month, plus shipping ($7.99 to the US, $9.99 to Canada, and $19.99 worldwide).
I know that this is a little expensive with conversion, but I'm a bookworm and I've really been loving the products they send and love some of the exclusive items they include. I did order a 3 month subscription as a birthday gift to myself, but I'm not really ready to give up this subscription because February sounds really good, but I will probably just subscribe on a monthly basis as I see how they sound to me!

I just got my January 2020 Scratch Monthly Mani Kit and as always, it is super cute! This is an easy, affordable subscription that features nail wraps from GoScrachIt that are exclusive to the kit each month and designed by NinaNailedIt!
The Scratch Monthly Mani Kit is $18.00 US monthly with free shipping everywhere! Each month you get an exclusive set of wraps that aren't available for purchase and a few extra little mani goodies!

I always like to share a little recap of the products that I used in my Monthly Makeup Basket for the month!
For January, the products that I focused on are:
- Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color in "RD103 Petal" - I've really enjoyed this blush and I used it so much this month that I'm close to finishing it!
- Natasha Denona Mini Blush and Glow - I love this little duo and I focused on it this month because I went on vacation and this is the perfect little set! Both formulas and shades are gorgeous!
- Jaclyn Cosmetics Accent Light Palette - The Flash - I was happy to use this all month and did think the shades are pretty! I will have a full review coming on this soon!
- Morphe Mini Blush in Spirit ~ This was probably the least used all month; but, I do really like this formula and shade!
FOUR
I have 3 products that I'm decluttering from my collection. These ColourPop nail wraps are not good at all and I had to peel them off my nails, so I will never reach for them! I liked the Burts Bees foundation, but this shade was just too light and it hasn't mixed well with other formulas so I just cant use it. And, this Glamlite palette arrived broken, so I am getting a replacement, so I will pass this one on!
FIVE
I'm so excited about my new book shelf we got set-up! My books have been overflowing forever and I have been working on convincing my husband for months to build me a new shelf (I couldn't even put together an Ikea chair, so I was not going to be able to do this myself!) But, I love my new little library area!
Also, if you guys remember, I mentioned at the beginning of the month that I was planning on posting every day for the whole month of January for a delayed NaBloPoMo. But, I sadly missed 3 days - I feel like I failed a little bit, but I've had the craziest month ever so I just needed to rest and take care of myself too. So, I am going back to my few posts a week now instead of daily!
