The OPI polishes were sent as PR
Because I got home so late, I had to do these nails quickly this morning and they only took 15 minutes - they have lots of layers and I used a sponging technique since this months #CBBxManiMonday theme for the month is "experiments"!
I'm actually really happy with how these turned out and they are totally representative of the cold Calgary Winter happening right now. But, they are also great for the Colour of the Year - Classic Blue!
The products I used for this week's Manicure are:
- Formula X nail cleanser
- OPI Infinite Shine Primer
- OPI polish in March in Uniform
- Smackers Nail Polish in Wickedly Stylish
- OPI polish in Glitter to My Heart
- Essie Gel Couture Top Coat
- Scratch Wonderland Nail Wraps
- makeup sponge
To create this mani look, I started with nail cleanser and base coat. Then I applied one coat of a dark blue base polish and took a triangle makeup sponge and tore off the edge so that it was rough and textured.
Then I painted a little white polish on an empty surface (this sounds weird - I just use an old yogurt container plastic lid), then I dab the sponge on to the white polish, dab a little off and the dab it all over each nail.
Then I took the Scratch Wonderland nail wraps and applied them over top of the sponged nails. Then, for a little extra touch I added a little layer of glitter over top of the nail and then I finished with a top coat!
Make sure you check out the other #CBBxManiMonday manis - Cosmetic Proof, Prairie Beauty Love, and Tea & Nail Polish to see their nail experiments too!
Looks fab :-D
