ONE
We have been in Mexico for the week enjoying the sun and ocean! (Or hopefully enjoying - I'm prewriting all these posts, but I already know it's going to be amazing!) We are here with lots of family, so chances are it's crazy and fun! If you want too see what we are up to, make sure you are following along on my instragram @reneeclementine so you can see!

I purchased everything in this post - this post contain affiliate links
I just received my second Owlcrate subscription this week - this is the December box (it just took a little while to get to me!) and the theme was "Tales of Trickery". Each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and includes a note from the author as well - they often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun!
This month the items included were:
- The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White ~ described as a twist on the King Arthur tale. This is a signed book with an exclusive OwlCrate cover and a letter from the author.
- Wood Wick Candle ~ "Mount Ruin" by Novelly Yours (this is inspired by Grace and Fury) - I love Novelly Yours candles, so this is lovely and smells amazing, even if I haven't read the book!
- Team OwlCrate created some exclusive items for this month's box - a pair of earmuffs inspired by all the roses in the Caraval series, pencil crayons and a colouring book featuring all the pins of 2019 included in the boxes.
- Book Sleeve ~ this is a pretty book sleeve inspired by Sorcery of Thorns and designed by ChattyNora. I love this because it's not something that I would pick up myself, but it's so handy!
- Enamel Pin ~ each month OwlCrate includes an exclusive pin - this pin was designed by ReadandWonder and is inspired by the castle descriptions of the Castle in The Guinevere Deception.
If you are interested in signing up, Owlcrate is $29.99 US per month, plus shipping ($7.99 to the US, $9.99 to Canada, and $19.99 worldwide).
THREE
I ordered this adorable Cupshe bathing suit for our trip and I'm really happy with it! The fit is really nice and it's actually quite flattering on too! The colour and cut are great!

And, I thought I'd share a quick Boxing Day shopping haul - I actually don't usually go out shopping on boxing day and it was more to spend time with family but I found a few really good deals! I got a pair of Buffalo jeans for $33 (and they are a nice stretchy material with tencel) and 2 basic tees from Old Navy, but nice cut and I love the colours! Then I got this really nice Lululemon wool zip up light jacket for $38 - regular $138 (their sales were really good, plus they still offer their 25% first responders discount on sale prices!)
FIVE
And, now since I'm a bit of a bookworm, I always like to do a little book recap:
So, last year I read (mostly listened to) 42 books! Woo hoo! So, I thought for 2020 I'd step it up a little bit more:
I'm going to try and read 45 books this year - I think they may be a little on the high side, but I can usually listen to audiobooks quickly, so I think maybe I can do it! If you are keeping track on goodreads too, I always like to see others books recommendations - you can find me here.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
