The Ipsy Icon Box is a new version is a special curated box that you can upgrade to each quarter (Nov, Feb, May and Aug) and you get 8 full sized products curated by a makeup professional or celebrity worth up to $350! Each time, Ipsy will select 5 of the products for you and you get to select the other 3 products.
This box is $60 per month, plus shipping (it worked out to $96.70 CAN with the shipping and conversion to Canadian!)
The November 2023 Ipsy Icon Box was curated by Pat McGrath - an icon in the beauty community, so naturally I wanted some Pat McGrath products and I'm really excited with the products I received, so here's a closer look:
Pat McGrath Divine Rose Luxe Eyeshadow Palette: Eternal Eden - Divine Rose II Collection ~ $82.00 CAN. A palette of four radiant rose shades that transform eyes into bouquets of beauty.
This was one of the 5 products that were curated for me. It is so gorgeous - I only have one other Pat M palette because they are $$$. The formula is lovely and the shades are so perfect and lovely and I'm excited to use this!
Pat McGrath Dark Star Volumizing Mascara ~ $45.00 CAN. A gravity-defying mascara that delivers instant volume, multidimensional length, and weightless lift in a single stroke.
I'm so excited for this - it looks exactly like the formula that I'm looking for in a mascara, but I often don't splurge on a mascara formula. There is good drugstore mascaras so I tend to go for those, but that doesn't mean I'm not a bougie girlie at heart and I'm excited to try this out (this was another product that was curated for me by Ipsy).
Danessa Myricks Beauty Dew Wet Hydrating and Highlighting Balm in Rose Water ~ $33.00 CAN. A highlighting, hydrating face and body balm that creates a naturally dewy sheen.
Another product that was curated for me by Ipsy that I'm so excited for - I love how innovative and unique Danessa Myricks products are! They are multi-purpose. This is a super soft, glowy balm that can be patted on anywhere for a dewy, shimmery look! The shade rose water is described as a cool toned rosy pink.
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Shadow in Wild Rose ~ $44.00 CAN. A 12-hour long-wearing, creamy eyeshadow stick that glides onto lids and blends easily for versatile and effortlessly alluring looks.
This was one of the products I selected - I like a simple shadow look and most eye sticks have worked well for me and I've never tried the Laura Mercier ones. I also didn't really want accessories or skincare as I have a ton, so I'm never mad about getting makeup products!
The Quick Flick - Winged Eyeliner Stamp in Modest ~ $42.00 CAN. A winged eyeliner that you can't mess up! Simply stamp and line for matching wings in seconds. Each Quick Flick pack comes complete with two dual ended eyeliner pens. Each The Quick Flick pack includes a set of pens. Each pen features a wing stamp (one for the left eye and one for the right) as well as two precision felt tip eyeliners to complete your look.
I've seen these around for a while and never tried them - I'm not quite sure. This was one of the products that was selected for me. I am curious to see how they work so I will likely give these a shot and report back!
Live Tinted Huebrow Clear Setting Gel ~ $30.00 CAN. A clear setting gel infused with soothing ingredients to tame, shape, and set brows.
This is one of the products I selected - Live Tinted is new in Canada, so I'm excited to give this a shot, and while this is a more practical item, it's big and it's something that I use pretty regularly in my routine!
This is a toner - I'm fine with skincare, but I have a ton, so it takes me a little amount time to get to it. This is expensive, but I didn't hear great things about this brand online, so I'm curious how it will be!
Commodity Gold Expressive ~ $103.00 CAN for 30 ml (or $196.00 CAN for 100 ml). Rich enough to bathe in, this decadent fragrance is an intoxicating journey to one’s innermost desires, thoughts, and impulses. Its warm gourmand scent is a luxurious blend of molten Amber, creamy Sandalwood and sweet Vanilla.
I honestly don't buy very many scents - I don't wear perfume on the daily, so it's not something I spend too much money on. I love vanilla based scents and this is really lovely! This was the third item I selected and I'm really happy with it!
Okay, so while the Ipsy Icon Box cost me almost $100 CAN with shipping and exchange, I'm really happy with it - the value of the items in CAN is $512 and it's full of products I'm really excited about and to try out! I'm excited to see who curates the next one!
