I used to always have pick 5 products each month for my Monthly Favourites, but that is one thing I'm changing this year - whatever I'm loving, I will share whether it's 2 or 10 products!
I'm not trying too many new things this month since I've been all over the place this month and I've hardly been home, so picking a few on the go products - here's a closer look at what I've been loving this month:
Kiko Milano Festival Glow 3D Blush in 01 Rosy Sand ~ 16.99 €/$19.99 US. The KIKO Milano Festival Glow 3D Blush is an ultra-sensorial compact blush with a radiant finish.
I have to start that this was hard to include because this product was limited edition, so it's not readily available; but also, this brand doesn't ship to Canada, so to my fellow Canadian's, Kiko is not easy to find at all. So sorry, but also this blush is so gorgeous and I've been using it every day so I hd to include it, regardless.
This is such a beautiful formula - you can see it on me here! It has a stunning "prism-like" finish on the skin so that it applies and smoothy on the skin and has a reflective pearly, luminous finish! It wears well, the shade is so gorgeous and it was my go to shade this past month!
Jaclyn Cosmetics Pout Drip Hydrating Lip Oil in Petal Drip ~ $20.00 US. It’s time for something juicy. Jaclyn Hill’s Pout Drip Hydrating Oil glides on easily for a voluptuous look that’s sheer, high-shine and super glossy. Its cushiony formula is boosted with lip-loving antioxidants and emollients so lips appear smoother and ready for summer.
I know Jaclyn will always be a bit of a controversial brand, I'm still a fan and always willing to try products and I think this brand despite a big hiccup with their first product, everything else has been so good that I've tried. So, only that note, I picked up the Strawberry palette and really wanted to try one of their lip oils - I'm glad I did!
This is what I would call a mix between an oil and a gloss - I have some oils that just absorb right away and make the lips really hydrated the lips and thats it. This one has a really pretty sheen and gloss that lasts for a while on the lips. It's perfect for every day wear, but I've also worn it to a wedding and anniversary night out and it's easily been my go-to shade!
JVN Complete Nourishing Hair Oil Shine Drops ~ $28.00 CAN. A silicone-free, weightless, multitasking hair oil that reduces frizz, hydrates, protects against damage, and quickly leaves a high-shine finish.
I will be honest, I was a little hesitant to try a shine oil on my hair, just because I have super thin and fine hair - it can look greasy pretty instantly. But the Summer elements have been drying out my hair a little and I tried it on a whim one day and fell in love. You just need the smallest amount and I just lightly add it with my hand to the ends/bottom of my hair and just gives a beautiful, smooth shiny finish to the hair! Smells lovely too!
Holy Snails Shark Sauce ~ $36.90 CAN. This hydrating and brightening serum contains 5% niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and 3% n-acetylglucosamine, the optimal concentrations for these research-backed ingredients to work synergistically to fight hyperpigmentation. The sea kelp bioferment, the result of fermenting sea kelp with lactobacillus to break it down into smaller and more bioavailable compounds, smooths skin and traps moisture without heaviness, making Shark Sauce a great oil-free liquid moisturizer.
I'm really impressed with my first Holy Snails product - I've been wanting to try them forever, and love that we now have an approved Canadian retailer with BellBees. So, this is a niacinamide serum that's meant to fight hyperpigmentation and even skin tone. This product was created out of a lack of transparency in the skincare world of creating a serum but not using an appropriate concentration of the active ingredients, creating subpar results. I follow the women behind this brand, so I knew it was going to be a great formula and was not disappointed.
I've been using this nightly in my routine and I'm impressed with the results - I tend to get a lot of redness and hyperpigmentation and using this for a couple of months, I've noticed an improvement. It's also nice and gentle on the skin and can be mixed with other serums. I'm certainly enjoying the formula and results and have been happy to wear minimal makeup all Summer thanks to this evening out my skintone overall!
And, just because I noticed one day I was basically using everything, here's a little looksie at the blush, lip gloss and hair oil on my (plus nightly using the serum!)
What have you been loving lately?
