The OPI polish was received as a PR sample
This week is already St. Patrick's Day, so for the whole month of March the #CBBxManiMonday is doing green nails to celebrate. Do you do anything for St. Paddy's Day? We started last year with trying to capture a leprechaun so we are setting our trap out again this year (and Elliott insists we use Lucky Charms as bait!)
I always reach for greens the least when doing my nails, so I like to look as this month as a challenge! I didn't go with a clover themed nail this week, as I've done this a few times - I went with this polka dot look and I looove how these turned out! (My husband thought they were stickers, so that means they look pretty damn good to me!)
The products I used for this week's manicure are:
- Essie polish in Have a Ball
- OPI polish in Envy the Adventure
- Moyra Matte Top Coat
I also used a dotting tool to complete this manicure!
To complete the manicure, I started with a base coat and two coats of dark green polish as the base coat. Then, with the lighter green polish, I dotted in the pattern of dots (some required a double up to brighten the dark green!) Then, I finished with a matte topcoat and voila - I absolutely love how these turned out! The matte was the perfect finishing touch!
As always, make sure to check out Cosmetic Proof and Prairie Beauty Love to see their green nails too!
I loved the fact that you mattified them! I keep forgetting to try matte polish because I always want everything to be SHINY, but sometimes matte totally gives the manicure a different vibe!
ReplyDeleteI'm on a huge matte kick right now!!!
